Fox did a great job with our new home inspection. Efficient, and professional Would definitely recommend

Best in town. Second time I used them. This time I got out of my contract due to so many issues.

This is the 4th time I have used Fox since 2007 and it will be the last. They were prompt and gave me a very well done and good looking report. Unfortunately, they missed so much during the inspection that it has cost me thousands of dollars in repairs and replacements. I have had to have roofers, plumbers, HVAC, and electricians not including the replacement of a major appliance that did not work properly. Bill was very empathetic and I gave him all my feedback, but the fact is they missed a lot of stuff that should have not been missed. I had the full menu of services including the air quality inspection. It was an expensive inspection that really only got superficial items and missed the important things. read more

Jovon and Bill from Fox Inspection Group provided thorough, detailed information about the home, answering all of my questions and making sure that I understood what they were showing in their inspection. They took their time and took photographs of everything, and their report included helpful and clear captions to help us make the right decision for our family. When I needed to follow-up, both men were available to speak with me on a Friday night after work hours, and Bill even emailed me over the weekend to further provide clarity about the report. Learning about a home's history and its details can be stressful, so it felt great to be in such good, capable hands with Fox Inspection Group the entire time. They gave us the information that we needed to make the best decision for our family, and they went above and beyond to provide the ideal customer service for such an important decision. Highly recommended! read more

The guys were great in performing my inspection! They informed me the home I was going to buy is in good condition.

Marty (Home Inspector) and Ryan (WDI Inspector) were great. They were patient in explaining what they've observed and provided recommendations to us on what we can do to further protect our home. The reports were well written and thorough with photos for context. Do definitely want to give a specific shoutout to Marty as he was open for me to be with him throughout the inspection and answered all my questions for the whole 4 to 5 hour inspection time. He gave good un-bias observations and advices to enable me to decide what I should do next. I will definitely hire this group again for all Home Inspection needs. Very professional group that you can trust. read more

One of the most thorough and educated home inspection companies I have come across working with the industry for over 15 years. I have hired them several times for my own home purchases and they don't miss a things all finding are explained is such detail the reason and possible future problems they will cause. Are more informed about building code than any other company I have come across and the continued changes to them even knowing the years sometimes months of the changes. They are so experienced and will take the time needed to answer all your questions, explain what next steps to take and the requirements of the state regarding the correction of any failed items, what items need to be repaired or corrected that are crucial to the home or you and the average cost. This helps with negotiating the sell and what you may want to include and require the seller to repair. Definitely in it for the care and protection of new homeowners or old homeowners having issues. read more

Service was very professional and well preformed. This is our second time using them and would always recommend them! Garrett was excellent!

Tl;Dr version: If you want to make sure that the home you're BUYING doesn't have any issues, do NOT use Fox. Out initial review was incredibly positive. As time has worn on, it turns out that our inspection was subpar. #1 - There is a leaking gas supply hose underneath our range. There has been a "smell" of gas since we took possession of the house & it took us some time to figure out the source. This should've been figured out during the inspection. #2 - There is a "dead" outlet located in the middle of the living room wall, ostensibly to plug in a TV. This never worked from the time we moved in. As it turns out, the outlet is simply a wall-mounted extension cord that needs to be plugged into another outlet lower on the wall. #3 - Pool algae / mold was overlooked on the back retaining wall of the pool. read more

As the homebuyer, it was important for me to find a reliable inspection company as well as affordable. Fox inspection exceeded my expectations. Clear communication and customer service is top tier. read more

THANK YOU Fox Inspections!! You guys are my go to for all home inspections. I have been a Realtor for over 30 years and I have been using you guys for that long! This is the third time I've used Fox Inspections for my pre-purchase inspection and my second time working with Jovon Martin. I'm pleased to say they maintain an extremely high level of professionalism and excellent quality of work. I'd highly recommend Fox and Jovon if you are after a prompt, very detailed, well-photographed, up-to-date home inspection report. On the latter item, Jovon came equipped with an HD drone to check the entire roof area and managed to spot an incorrectly secured vent boot seal that could have allowed water ingress - something you could not see from ground level. Great work, great people. read more

Good job They initially misquoted but happy with their service overall for my pre pour inspection read more

Had Marty do a home inspection and he was terrific. Carefully explained all the issues I'd need to address in a thorough, professional, easily understandable way. Highly recommended. read more

Was never contacted and still finding items that would have been found if they would had inspected correctly and actually go on the roof. Drone doesn't work or at least disclose that you don't actually go on the roof before telling customers to pay upfront. read more

I am in the process of buying a home and anyone that has gone through this process will tell you that it can be totally stressful and overwhelming. Luckily I was referred to Fox Inspections. Chris inspected the property and I was amazed how professional and knowledgeable he was. He walked me through everything and was so thorough. I highly recommend using this company. It gives me peace of mind to be prepared and ready to deal with the all steps of purchasing a home. read more

Great and in time services. Dustin explains everything details and answer all questions. Recommend highly to everyone needs resident inspection read more

Fox Inspections are always great! We have used them many times, and there is a reason. Dustin was the inspector this time and the report was lengthy and detailed. It was a larger and older home that needed a lot of feedback, and Mr. Fox even came by to help. I feel like we are empowered to make a truly informed decision based on their report and advice. read more

As first-time homebuyers, we had a great experience with Fox Home Inspections. They were quick, efficient, and very thorough. Their detailed report helped us negotiate with the sellers and ultimately reach a favorable agreement. Our family--including my brother and dad--have used them as well and will continue to do so. Highly recommend! read more

Terribly bad service with the worst inspection ever. We were offered an inspection completed within 3 months of our purchase. They missed termites that did thousands of dollars in damage, over 7,000 dollars in plumbing issues and misidentified our home with another home including pictures of a water heater from another home stating we had a RHEEM 2017 when in fact we have a Whirlpool from 2013. They will not do anything to make this right by paying us back for the repairs. They seemed to take great pleasure in stating they would do nothing since we were not a client. We are in the process of filing a formal complaint requested by TREK. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. Worst inspection report ever, the lack of attention to issues existing in the house I purchased cost me close to 50k. Issues with pool, double pane window, mold existing on attic, rotted wood in decking and ridge vents, just to mention the most expensive repairs were totally missed in the report. The company acknowledge they missed some of those and gave some money back which was Minimum, for the rest just give the excuse that their inspection is visual. I would not recommend to use this company unless you want to end up with costly repairs that you will have to address after the purchase of your home read more

Excellent service during peek home buying season!! I recommend them with no reservation! 5 star service! read more

Fantastically detailed and super-fast, I've used Fox Inspectors for two house purchases now. They even check the temperature of the hot water! The report was so good that I handed it to electricians I hired to fix the outstanding issues and they just went through it step by step. I thoroughly recommend them as an excellent, local company. read more

We used Fox Inspections recently and were very impressed with how fast they were able to come out. The inspection was very thorough and we included termites, foundation and mold. We had to ask a few questions afterwards and received responses very quickly. I highly recommend Fox. read more

Fox was great from start to finish. The quote and scheduling process was easy and straightforward. The inspector (Jovon) arrived promptly and performed a very thorough inspection. Very professional, approachable and friendly throughout the entire process. Jovon did an excellent wrap up at the end and walked us through all of his findings. It was very apparent that he really tried to put himself in the buyers (our) shoes and explained everything with excellent detail as if he would be moving into the home. He was also very responsive and patient hearing out any questions or concerns we had, of which there were many! We would not hesitate to use Fox and Jovon again. Anyone reading this review should have peace of mind that you are engaging with an excellent inspection company. read more

Highly recommend! Excellent and thorough inspection and very quick to schedule! Richard was super friendly and explained everything to me!

Fox Inspection Group always delivers for my clients. They arrive on time and provide a quality report, usually the same day! We are always under tight schedules, so this is appreciated. Their communication always exceeds my expectations as well. I highly recommend Fox Inspection Group. read more

Outstanding home inspection service from Fox! Both sellers and buyers were out of the state and Fox worked diligently with both real estate agents and went out of their way to communicate with us (buyers) about their findings, and provided a full written report the same day. Service was thorough, efficient and professional. Highly recommend Fox for all inspection needs! read more

We are buying a home and Cory came out to do the inspection - he was knowledgeable, well spoken, thorough and thoughtful. The inspection report was well done and very easy to interpret. He even brought chairs to sit in (as the house was empty) and even water & snacks! Bonus: Fox provides a recycled moving box program!!!! Clients can pick them up - use them and return them. Fox's has Boxes! Genius! read more

I'm a residential realtor with the Luxe Living Group in the Galleria area, and have had clients hire the Fox Inspection Group on many occasions! I always know what to expect and the inspectors are well trained, polite and professional with the buyers that have hired them! Additionally, the reports, because that's what this is all about, are always well written, identified and easy to understand, which helps the clients understand minor to significant issues that need to be recognized. We had Fox out to inspect a home we were under contract for. They were recommended by our realtor along with a couple of others, but they were less expensive than the most recommended one. I'm very happy I went with them and saved the money. They were very easy to work with and get scheduled quick, they sent out two inspectors to cover the large house, David and Chris were kind and thorough, and they even brought waters and snacks if anyone needed anything. Very heads up for a long event at a home that isn't yours yet. I was even give the inspectors phone numbers in case I had questions after, which I did and both got back to me very quickly. Digging into the nitty gritty of what could be improved, I think during the final tour there was more that I wish we would have gone over in person and while I appreciate there wasn't anything huge wrong, there was a lot of little stuff in a big house that adds up to quite a bit. We did definitely talk about a fair amount, but I would have liked even more. I think the sellers realtor who we let come with us got a rosier impression that the report gave. Also there was a small communication error on a couple of fireplaces that were not able to be turned on. I would have hoped they would have still looked in them for signs of disrepair or problems from before, but they didn't and the time for that was gone by time I realized. Overall, it was a very good experience and I would recommend and use Fox Inspections again. read more

Very fast scheduling and reliable, lots of detail attention and very accurate results for inspections. I would definitely recommend them.

My inspection with Dustin exceeded all expectations. Dustin was thorough, clearly very knowledgeable, and eager to answer all my questions. He made the inspection report approachable for a first-time home buyer and was excellent to work with. I would 10/10 recommend Fox to anyone needing an inspection. read more

Overall really great service and people. Attention to detail in reporting and took their time inspecting the property. Expensive bug you get what you pay for. Really glad we used them. Only areas of criticism might not even be fixable, we had breakers that were tripped prior to the inspection and policy states the technician cannot reset any breakers that are pre tripped. So those circuits didn't get fully looked at. Our home builder also failed to get the utility company to take the lock off the gas line. A heads up to reschedule the inspection as soon as that was seen would have been nice read more

I had an invasive stucco inspection done on a home and they were great to work with. I called them on a Friday late afternoon and they were able to schedule to Inspection on Monday, the day before 4th of July. They promised to get the report back to me by 9am the next day but I received it the same evening. The inspector was super helpful in explaining the findings and was great to work with. I would highly recommend Fox Inspections to anyone needing service. read more

We were referred to Fox by our realtor. Incredible experience. They were available the next day, which provided an incredible experience. Towel down as they entered, booties on, snacks and drinks provided to the buyers. Overall 12/10 service. Our inspectors were Marty & Ryan. I can not say enough good things. They were honest, thorough, and explained everything in fantastic detail. I would absolutely use them for any type of home purchase from now on. The appt was for 8:30 but they were there long before starting on the outside so they wouldn't take so long. It took around 4-5 hours for a 2000sqft home but it went by quickly as it was a totally pleasant experience. One note, you might want to change the voice on the phone that you call into. Its a tad abrasive but it is clear and can be heard across the room. read more

When we decided to purchase our first home, we knew that we wanted to trust Fox to do our third-party inspection report. Jovon Martin met us at the conclusion of the inspection and did a through job walking us through any deficiency we saw or any question we had. He also took pictures of the model numbers of all the appliances, A/C condenser and water heater - so we can easily reference our report in the future. We also hired Fox to do a termite assessment and appreciated Byron Frost for walking us through his findings. We are purchasing a historic home in the Heights, and he helped us understand that, not only do we thankfully not have termite damage, but how the home was recently renovated to limit future termite intrusion. By the end of our walkthrough, we felt thoroughly educated about our future home. We are grateful for the peace of mind - thank you, Fox! read more
