Went to NY for the holidays this year and when I'm home I always like to seek out new comic and toy stores. I heard nothing but great reviews about this place. I also heard they sold Pops so I was all about hunting there. They had a great selection of toys, Pops galore, comics all over. It's like a nerd in a ice cream shop. They were even talking about quitting if they had to work with him again! A better comic store on Long Island, you will not find. My friends come from all over to go here. Fortunately, I used to live close by to it, growing up. Staff is friendly and always nice. They've expanded over the years in space and merchandise. Most Comic Store end up going out of business, but this place has been around for a long, long time. They will create a file for you and hold books at your request. They have tons of statues, anime movies, trading cards, superhero tee shirts, and toys as well. There is something for the Geek in all of us. They have a vast array of back issues and membership truly does pay for itself if you are a regular. There is an adult comic section located in the back that you must ask to view. FYI. Obviously not for children. Best place on Long Island. Reasonable deal for when you need to sell a comic book in order to purchase the comic bags and boards that you need in order to have those lovely treats that your people like for Christmas in several years, like the new titles of comic books or graphic novels that will be television shows, video games or film shows - some more futuristic form of broadcasting in a few decades. It's tough times for some supplies like dice or comic book bags, so, you might be limited to how many of a certain item you can purchase. Avoid going to Fourth World Comics on a Saturday, as it gets busy. You might be waiting in line outside the shop from Black Friday through to Christmas, as well. read more

I loveeeee 4th World! I've been coming here for years now. The store isn't that big but they still have a big collection of new & old comics, Pop figures, action figures, statues, posters, t-shirts & things like bags, boards, card holders, etc. The inventory seems to be constantly changing - they usually have new items that I'm looking for - I love that they have a ton of the Mystery Funko figures. I usually can't find them anywhere else. One of the newer things they've been doing which I love is private showings of some of the bigger movies (Star Wars, Avengers) at the Deer Park movie theater. They'll get tickets at a group rate for opening night and have a theater for only 4th World customers. It's awesome! We've gone to every single one they've had. And of course, the staff is great! They'll hold comics for you, order things for you, they participate in free comic book day & have signings. They also let local events leave flyers which we've taken advantage of before. Frequently visit this comic book store with my Dad, it is awesome! We are always able to find the comics we are looking for and they also have a crazy assortment of toys. Funko Pops are in abundance here, they have a huge wall that has all the funko pops you can think of! The t-shirts they have are pretty generic but they also have a large selection that's worth looking at. I am a Nightmare Before Christmas fanatic and love looking at the older toys of the characters in this movie. Overall, this comic book store is the best in the area and I genuinely enjoy spending time with my Dad in this store! read more

They do have toys and collectibles however I didn't see exactly what they had since I went straight to the comics. Also out of the 3 other shops I've been to on the island, this one had the biggest manga section. I am very happy with my purchases and can't wait to go back again. read more

I love this place. Looking for that hard to find comic? They have it. Looking for a pop? They have that too. Their line of action figures is broad and you'll generally find what you're looking for. What makes this place stand out? Is it the incredible inventory? Nope. It's the cleanliness and the knowledge and friendly staff. My favorite comic shop on Long Island. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I have never been treated differently for being female either which is a big plus. Shop is very well organized and they have a wide selection of comic books, trades, toys, statues and even trading cards. Additionally, with all their selection the shop is not chaotic in the least. Glenn as being as organized and good an accountant as he is should have realized when the check he gave me never went in, due to an illness on my part i was hospitalized for over 6 months....in that time when i came back I was not able to cash the check he gave me which was for well over $500 dollars and i could have really used the money at that point.........what do i do now....the merchandise he bought from me is long since sold and I guess I am most disappointed that he didnt mention anything about it and that it wasnt cashed perhaps he could issue me a new one or simply pay by cash......I am now out $500 dollars worth of stuff as well as the payment ....bottom line when someone writes a check out they know when and if it is cashed read more

Really excellent comic shop! The staff I have met have all been very helpful and friendly while you shop in here. What was especially great was when I called them asking if they had any more books in a particular RPG line, since I got a few the previous day and wanted to tell them I would grab more, if they had any in stock. That night the owner went out to the warehouse and grabbed a big box of them to look through for the next day! All the books were in excellent condition, and they offered them on a real heavy discount! This place is excellent, and I plan to keep coming around here for a while! read more

They remind me of the comic shops in the city due to their big selection of items-- comics (current & back issues), toys, magazines, manga, dvds, etc. Its also the biggest comic shop I've seen on the Island. Hands down the best Comic Shop on Long Island. Great selection of new releases as well as back issues. They have a good selection of independents and hard to find stuff. A ton of collectibles and regularly have pretty good sales. They've been in business since I've started collecting back in the early 90's and they are one of the few shops that survived will most of the other shops folded. read more

So I moved my comic book pull list from Midtown Comics' online to Fourth World. Pretty easy process and they have literally every book I collect (over 25 titles). They do not bag & board the new books like my prior servicer, but buying the bags is cheaper than paying $4/week in shipping. Great job Fourth World. See you Wednesday. read more
