    Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice
    Jessie D.

Unfortunate. This was my first time sitting inside and it was not good. The smell of smoke is awful and made it hard to focus on the food. The fried rice was... okay. Plain, but hot and filling. The Mongolian beef was a train wreck. The beef was chewy and sparse, the onions were basically raw.

***Overall: 3.75 stars*** Service: 5 stars We were seated, served, and tended to right away. Excellent! This smiley lady checked on us and kept an eye on us the entire time we were there. Facility/Location: 5 stars Everything about the facility and location is 5 stars -- from the restaurant being easy-to-find in Aptos Village, parking is ample, restaurant space is large and clean. Even the ambiance has just enough decor to whisper "Chinese restaurant" so they didn't need to put the description into the name. Decor was simple and looked family-owned. Menu/Price: 4 stars A decent menu with reasonable prices. I like that they offer lunch specials, but it doesn't say anything other than a lower price, so I guess that just means you get rice and the dish for a slightly discounted rate? It'd have been nice to get a side with it, like potstickers or a salad and a drink. Some authentic Chinese dishes aren't on the menu, but then again, this is also the first Chinese restaurant menu I've seen that is in all English, so perhaps that gives me a hint why. Food/Flavor: 3.5 stars The food came out super fast and it tasted good, though the noodles lacked flavor. My daughter had to add salt to hers and I reached for the spicy chili -- both things were uncommon actions by both of us! Other than that, the food tasted good and was freshly made. We did like that food and plan to order from there again.

    Sichuan boiled fish. Delicious!

Jessie D doesn't know how to order real Chinese food. You don't go to an authentic Chinese restaurant and order American Chinese food which is not authentic Chinese food from China. More people order Chinese food from here than all others in the area BECAUSE it is authentic. If you want to start off with an amazing dish order the Sichuan boiled fish and a bowl of white rice. Eat them together in your mouth. You won't be disappointed. Americans don't now that boiled food in other countries is 5 star, packed full of flavor and makes meat melt in your mouth. By the way, vegetables should be crunchy, not mushy. Asians know how to cook food.

    Shrimp in lobster sauce

We saw this place on Yelp and decided to try it. Every dish we ordered was delicious and we were well taken care of. We ordered chicken salad, sweet and sour pork, shrimp in lobster sauce, bbq pork chow fun, eggplant, and rice. The colors on the vegetables were so beautiful and vibrant. It's one of the best Chinese food places we've eaten at, and we've eaten at a lot of them.

    No Sesame Chicken left.

I think this place is really good. Very clean inside, all the good stuff on the menu. Very kind service. We got the sesame chicken, potstickers, and beef chow mein. I recommend for chinese take out in the area.

Food is good. If you like savory must try schezwan dishes on the menu. Their hot sauce is also good. Great place for takeout.

Got the curry fried rice, tomato sizzling rice soup (love that sizzling crunchy rice hitting the hot soup!), and some very well piced Sapporos. (Disclaimer: this review is based on a takeout order, so I can't speak to the in-restaurant…read moreservice. And maybe other dishes are better, so take this with a grain of salt. Salt...haha.) I am so bummed. I was soooo busy that I hadn't eaten the day before and was craving Chinese food. A friend suggested we grab food and head to the beach, so I decided on Panda Inn, which I'd been wanting to try for some time now. I ordered Singaporean style rice noodles, which is said to be cooked with eggs, and vegetables, and curry sauce. That sounded delicious! On the phone, they asked what protein (ie, chicken, pork), so I chose tofu, which I didn't know at the time had an additional cost. It was +$3 for tofu! (He should have informed me, I think.) The order was prepared quickly and was hot. It was seasoned (salted), but there was no curry flavor (I was surprised to read this in the menu!) I also saw, smelled, felt, and tasted NO TOFU. *sigh*. It wasn't a huge deal, except that I really wanted some substance since that was the main thing I was eating in 2 days, that was what I ordered so I was expecting to see it, AND I had to pay extra for it! All in all, I was quite disappointed.

This place was a real surprise to me. I followed directions…read moreand it took me to a little patio tucked away next to a bank - there was an open door to a kitchen and the patio had two plastic tables and chairs. A waitress noticed me quickly and came to ask if had placed an order or needed to. They have a big menu! The lunch specials are amazing deals - a main course, with chow mein, fried rice, and soup! All for less than $15?! In this economy?? So I ordered the cashew chicken and a starter of cheese puffs (wanton). The food was all flavorful, the chow mein had a deliciously satisfying chew, the cheese puffs had a tangy cream cheese filling. I would say there wasn't an abundance of chicken - but there was a lot of other food to make up for it. Oh and complimentary hot green tea! I will definitely come back again!

I ordered delivery through DoorDash and had mixed results. The beef with broccoli lunch special was…read moreokay--nothing particularly memorable, but it was probably the best part of the order. Unfortunately, the chow mein was one of the worst I've had. It was mostly noodles with very little meat, and the meat that was included tasted old. I ended up throwing away at least half of it. Normally, I would have sent it back, but since it was a delivery order that wasn't practical. I had hoped to save some for leftovers, but the quality wasn't good enough to justify reheating. I also ordered two char siu baos, but after my experience with the rest of the meal, my expectations are pretty low. My biggest concern was the packaging. None of the food was sealed in any way. The chow mein container had popped open during transit and was handed to me already open. The other takeout container wasn't taped or sticker-sealed either, and the soup came in a plastic container with no seal at all. In my opinion, restaurants using delivery services should place tamper-evident stickers or tape on all containers. Food should not be arriving open or capable of popping open during delivery. The lack of sealing was concerning and did not inspire confidence. The soup was also only about half full, which made me wonder whether some had spilled during transit or if that was the intended portion size. Overall, the beef with broccoli was merely okay, the chow mein was very disappointing, and the packaging raised concerns. Based on this experience, I do not plan to order from or visit this restaurant again.

All dishes came out as we hoped/expected with both the chicken and fish providing the nummy sensation that is unique to Szechuan cuisine. We threw in the eggplant order because we wanted some veggies and something that didn't overtly threaten to numb our palettes and were very happy with that as well. Chicken was fried well and not dry at all which was a lovely experience. Fish was also flavorful and enjoyable to eat, although perhaps the least memorable of the dishes. I wouldn't NOT get any of the dishes again and might elevate the chicken as a must get if you're there for the a Szechuan experience. Well probably come back the next time we get a craving for that nummy feeling.
