VEGAN dishes at this place are delicious. Make sure to scour the menu and see how creative you can be with the traditional foods made vegan.

We were all visitors to the region, but at least one of our number had visited previously and heard about Ambrosia. Good gossip, right? RIGHT! We thoroughly enjoyed our supper at Ambrosia. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. I start dining with my eyes as I survey the location and there is plenty to feast on visually. Artwork is generously applied to the walls that is complimented with statuary that adds its own charm. The appetizers were sumptuous and our herbal teas arrived hot and aromatic. Our entrees showed up in a timely fashion and were quite delicious. They were flavorful in their own way and spiced to perfection. The staff are attentive and easy to provide the little extras that made our meal just right. We highly recommend Ambrosia India Bistro!

I love this place! Their pre-fix (non-vegetarian) option was perfect while dining alone. I definitely had left overs, but all of the dishes were well seasoned and the meat was very tender. The server was attentive and they checked on me often (but not in a "hovering" way). The music was nice, but not too loud, and the lighting leaned towards dim but with lamps above each table it was easy to see. I will definitely be here again!!

I love a good lunch buffet, and Ambrosia doesn't disappoint. The fresh naan is also obviously fresh and a great pairing for the dishes. Everything was flavorful.

Decorative entrance statue draped in red cloth, adding a welcoming and spiritual touch to the front of the restaurant.

Absolutely stunning entrance and such a warm and inviting atmosphere inside. We came for lunch and had a flavorful chicken dish with rice and naan. Everything tasted incredibly authentic. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The service and food were both exceptional. We will definitely be back soon.

Delicious food and fast service, whenever I am craving Indian food this is the only place we go to. Mango lassi and samosas to start are unskippable. We have never gotten sick from their food, and the food is always fresh and yummy.

I've been to more Indian restaurants than I can count, but never had anything like this. Flavorless, tasteless and a total waste of my hard earned money. There wasn't an ounce of spices or flavors in my food including salt. They tried to remake it, added salt (finally) and drumroll - chili paste. Hahahahahaha. The only thing that tasted good here was the roti and the water, water being tastiest! Never appreciated water as much as I did after eating the food. Halfway through my husband commented wishing we were eating frozen Trader Joe's food, and that's when we gave up and packed whatever was left ($23 a dish?!!! I'll go home and add gram masala and garlic and aromatics and fix it) and ran out of there. Never again. Ever.

Have come to rely on Ambrosia Aptos during COVID for our go to Takeout. Good quality, tasty Indian food at reasonable prices. Here are some of our favorites... * Keema Naan -- Naan stuffed with seasoned ground lamb. We usually toast it up for a few minutes just before eating to get that right out of the oven freshness. * Spicy Fish Tikka - So tasty. Basa fish fillet is fresh and has good spice heat. Decent portion. * Trio Chicken - A selection of chicken Tikka kebab, Peshawari chicken and tandoori chicken. Great flavor, and nice variety. * Vegetable korma - It was good, but portion could be a bit bigger for the price. It has cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini (only 1 piece though), peas and carrots. Mild creamy curry. For more traditional Indian preparation that I'm used to, I would have liked to see more zucchini, green beans and carrot. As long as they keep up the quality, we'll keep coming back.

I'm not sad to bench the Pizza Port hat I've kept alive since a San Diego visit in 2022, but it's been in the fight one round too long. I washed it once in the dishwasher, as it claimed it could handle, and the logo is barely legible anymore. I love it, and will keep it, but this Beer Thirty hat is clean. Barely touched. Except by the cat? Some feline fuzz up on that shelf clings to the bill. I don't see a cat anywhere. Nocturnal, perhaps. This lid is bright and optimistic. Gotta don the cap before the sando arrives, lest I prematurely age it with grease spots. For now, it's a pristine, high-contrast, six-color surge atop my ridiculous hair. After lunch, it will probably attract local canines, who love a salted pork perfume with subtle notes of meow. Working backward, the second order of business was to order from the adjacent restaurant, Carpo's. Hard to go wrong with a BLT. Order of business number one, obviously, was to choose my brunch beer. I'm an aging West Coast IPA enthusiast who in recent years has moderated my dwindling prime by embracing West Coast Pilsners as an alternative, and for good reason. After a couple West Coast IPA's I sometimes lose all sense of space, time, propriety. Beers three and four become a forgone conclusion, and then I'll find myself at the Over The Hill Gang Saloon singing Eddie Rabbit to beers number six and seven. The pils, with it's 1.5% reduction in ABV, sets me up for a sustainable buzz and helps reduce the likelihood of my needing bail money later. Today is the first day of vacation, however, so 7% IPA it is! I get most of it down with the appearance of control, without seeming like too much of a day drunk, but I slug back the rest real quick in order to procure the second beer before the BLT arrives. IPA number two and I resettle at the picnic table. And just as I take a fresh swig and exhale the last two weeks of stress, I think to myself. I could sit here all fucking day. Outdoor, shaded patio, about the size of an NBA court. One half allows kids. The other, the one with cornhole, does not. I used to love having a place to take my kids when they were younger, so they could run around and watch me and others drink. Now that the babies are all grown up, I do not want to drink with children. Is that strange? Bully for the owners to consider both approaches. A little after midday on a Monday, there are no kids. Just me, some dude on his phone, and three old hippies, scattered about the place. We, the five of us, are each flying solo. Yet each is more content than the next. No male loneliness epidemic here. Just some dudes zenning out instead of carrying day jobs. "Dennis!?" Carpo's window suddenly is calling my name. Good timing. I was trending toward beers three and four without food in my belly, so this will help slow my roll. Two West coast brews in, it's only 1:30pm. Here, they arm you with a sandwich if you need one and throw you into the ring. One half of the BLT got tabasco, an old fave. The other half got a sriracha I've never seen before. They spar for top masculine condiment. Nobody sticks around to see who wins. Each is its own pre-bout steroidal flex, and like most fights, the interest is in the hype, the build up. When they finally go toes, it fizzles. Indeed by the time I wolfed the first half, I barely tasted the Tabasco. I got some light notes of spice in the sriracha side, but the referee was the story tonight. Mr. Bacon, he ran a steady ship, put a kibosh on all the nonsense, moderated the entire battle with an able, yummy, smoky hand. Casinos and books are usually the real winners in these fights. Their role was today played by toasted sourdough. OMG was the bread good! I have one more swazzle remaining of my beer. Strike that. Two swazzles. Time enough for just a few more words. I will save them for texting my Oakland pals to let them know how much I love this place.

For Sante Adairius the beer that Steve and I had and I can report liked was their IPA known as Spots and Dots. This IPA was a bit more refreshing and fun compared to some IPA'S where it just seems like a blur from one brewery to the next and you wonder if you actually went to a different brewery from the previous one if you have IPA'S back to back. So in this regard I am happy to say that it was distinctive and had it's own signature. Flavor highlights with this IPA are hoppy, juicy and bitter. The beer is also aromatic and smooth. I found out later this brewery makes very good saisons so should the opportunity arise again to get a hold of one I certainly will as I love a good saison!

Great Food, Great Service & a Manager Who Actually Says Hello!…read more Loved this place! My bride and I had a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in. This restaurant has an incredible indoor and outdoor space, a great menu, and an atmosphere that somehow manages to be both chill and professional. You'll find a wonderfully diverse crowd here, and everyone seems to fit right in. Now, let's talk about the food! I highly recommend the meatballs--they were fantastic! And the garlic bread? Fabulous. Honestly, I could have made a meal out of the bread alone, but I exercised some restraint...because I'm an adult. My bride ordered the hamburger, and she loved it. The salads were excellent, the bread was outstanding, and the dessert selection was enough to make someone suddenly forget they were "too full for dessert." Our server was incredible--attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. And then, as if the experience couldn't get any better, the manager actually came out and welcomed us! You don't find that everywhere. That personal touch says a lot about how this place approaches hospitality. Everything was clean, the service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the ambiance made us want to hang around longer than we probably should have. One warning: Parking can be a bit of a challenge. But trust me, this is one of those places where you circle the parking lot a few times and say, "Lord, give me a parking space!" Yelp Elite verdict: Absolutely worth the hassle! Great food. Great people. Great atmosphere. Great service. And apparently, great managers who actually come out to meet their guests. My bride and I will definitely be back! #YelpElite #FoodieFind #DateNight #GreatFood #GreatService #Meatballs #GarlicBread #DessertLovers #RestaurantReview #WorthTheHassle #FoodAndFun #FiveStars

The only suggestion would be to update the patio layout a bit. Our table was directly across from the waiting area, so it felt like we had very little privacy while people waited.
