    Also beer maybe a pils?
    Sean W.

Best beer in Santa Cruz County and that's saying a lot given the competition, but the variety, inventiveness and quality is unsurpassed. The team is friendly and helpful. This is my kind of microbrewery location, smells like wort and hops when the are brewing, outdoor and indoor seating and a variety of food pop-ups and trucks. Dog friendly, kid friendly and people friendly.

Sante has really great beer. The space is cool and their patio is great. Groups welcome and patio is kid and dog friendly. No food here, so plan ahead. Sometimes they bring in food trucks! The bartender gave some great recommendations. I had an IPA, a pale ale, and one of their barrel aged beers which they somewhat specialize in. I also bought a bottle of Cellarman to go which is their staple oak barrel aged saison sour beer. Loved it here and looking forward to visiting again!

I've been hearing about Sante Adairius for years, and finally got to check it out recently. I didn't know much about them other than the high praise it received from my family's resident beer lover. Was super excited to see that they had quite a few fermented barrel aged beers, one even made with a gin barrel from Venus Spirits - love seeing that localized biz love! They had 10 beers on draft as well as in-house vintage bottles and cans and bottles to go. They didn't do flights but you could opt for half-pours and make your own. The half pours were pretty large though, so might not want to go overboard if ordering multiple halves. It was a quiet and chilly day in SC when we went in and we ended up having the whole inside to ourselves for most of our visit. There was also a nice outdoor patio they created with plenty of picnic table and heaters. The interior design was really cool, table and bars were all either barrels or repurposed wood that created a classic and rustic vibe. Pretty hard spot to find unless you're looking for it! Located at the dead-end of a road with a bunch of businesses that parallel highway 1, this spot can be easy to miss. Parking lot has turned into outdoor seating so be sure to grab one of the spots on the street before the parking lot.

Sausage pizza. It's own food group!

Holy smokes! Wow and so many other adjectives. What a great beer no pizza selection with an absolutely wonderful staff. Even though I'm not a beer drinker, they did have some good selection of wine to go with their pizzas. Pizza is a short coming description of the focaccia style pizzas. Chef Todd, formally from Manressa...yes Manress has some serious game going on! Many different deep dish style pizzas. The pizza dough is fermented for 48 hours and is crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. We had the sausage pizza which was rich with white sauce and delicious sausage. I dare two people to finish one of these. It's a food group unto it self. Dani and the staff are welcoming as is the vibe. We can hardly wait to come back and try come of there other offerings. Gosh, I wish I was a beer drinker. What wonderful choices.

One of the best brewery tasting rooms in the country, SARA produces some extremely high-quality beer of all styles. Though famous for their sours and saisons, they knock it out of the park with their IPAs, pale lagers, and stouts as well. The main drawbacks to this tasting room are the poor location and lack of food. There wasn't even a food truck or food vendor during both of my visits. With the poor location, you pretty much have to drive (or better) Uber here. And because of the food situation, you have to bring your own food, too. They allow in outside food, which is alright if you know where to go. As a tourist, it's not very welcoming in this respect. But just based on quality of beer alone, this is an easy 5-star venue. You can sample some of the most coveted beers in the world and enjoy them out on their patio that's expanded into the parking lot thanks to COVID/social distancing. SARA makes my current all-time favorite IPA right now, and having it on tap at the source was otherworldly. If Michelin Guide did breweries, this would be Michelin 3-star: worthy of a special trip just to visit.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder" -- Kinky Friedman As I was standing there staring directly at the lovable blonde I was gently caressing, I wondered which flavor I should try next! All the beer choices on the board looked good. The blonde retriever lost interest in me and walked away to his owner. I took another sip of the beer I was holding, sat in one of the chairs and leaned back comfortably. The board listed the ten beers that were available on tap. A bartender wearing bluejeans came out of the back door holding a couple of bottles of beer and handed it to a customer. These were beers one could only but in large bottles and were listed on a smaller board on the wall. I had to drive back home so the only way I could try any of them was to buy a bottle to go. Sante Adairius Rustic Ales was recommended by a colleague of mine and I must say it was worth the effort that it took to get there. The three beers that I tried were delicious. The place is small, but very nice and comfortable. Founders Tim Clifford and Adair Paterno have done a great job with this tap room. There is no food served on the location, but there were menus from a nearby BBQ restaurant which you could call for delivery. The pizza is bomb, perfect for beer. I need to give the beer a second chance because I smashed way too much pizza.

On one lovely Sunday afternoon,,, 831 (West Coast IPA) Rabbit Warren (IPA w/Simcoe&Mosaic) Reverence (English-style Barleywine aged in Bourbon barrel for 24 months) All so tasty!! Must come again I wished they had a beer flight though.

    Solid IPA, beautiful space.

In a landscape dominated by overly hopped ales, Sante Andarius reminds us how complex and beautiful beer can be. A dog friendly establishment tucked away between the freeway and an industrial park there's not nearly enough parking for this popular place. Only in Santa Cruz would a brewery by half crowded at 4pm on a Tuesday, but, I guess the word was out, avoid traffic, drink here first!! I had two pours of two different ales. Both were bursting with flavor and beautiful complexity that ligured. Plenty of plugs for phones, so if you are by yourself, make a friend or surf the web but def take a beer break here!!

I went to quite a few breweries on my California coast roadtrip and SA had my single most enjoyable beer. It was the Fruitful Forecast Guava sour beer that was mind blowing. The IPA I tried was very good as well. The beertender was nice and the outside picnic benches weren't too full.
