Not usually the kind of beer I drink much of but I thought they did a great job. The stout was my favorite. The barleywines were certainly higher in alcohol but surprisingly smooth. This is definitely not the spot for the inexperienced beer drinker - it's a certain type of beer that you need to be into, but they've done that really well. The place is super hip with records and other music related artwork around. Clean. Love the small pours. They did not complain about our children being with us and ultimately spilling water all over the floor, so yay for no snobbery.

Private Press makes the best barrel-aged beers, bar none. Don't believe me? Their Untappd profile has a 4.42 overall average, which is on par with the likes of breweries such as Tree House, Trillium, and Other Half. Imagine slowly sipping a full-bodied beer while relaxing in a well-appointed midcentury lounge as Gap Mangione's soulful keys guide your experience. Magical. The owner, Brad, was so welcoming and even poured us some extra samples to enjoy. We came home with a bottle of Inner Landscape and I'm just waiting for the right occasion to enjoy it.

This location has food trucks for bite options, outdoor seating if you have pets, and a few seats inside if it's too windy out. The service was impeccable. Bryan had close down the growler station but reopened it because he saw my devastation when the QIPA was not for sale. Can't thank Bryan enough for ensuring I got a chance to take home their best beer on tap. Come for the service, the ambiance, and the best beers.

I am more of a Cider person, and I got to try their Mojito Cider, which I had never heard of before. It was SO good, yummy, and dangerous! haha. They have a good amount of beer and cider to choose from. I believe this location doesn't have food options the way Pacifica does, but the Fish and Chip truck right outside pairs perfectly with their drinks. Service was great. The lady who helped was very chill and nice. I also had a difficult time choosing what drink to pick, so I chickened out and said I didn't want anything. However, she asked me again if I'm sure, so I asked her for recommendations! We love a staff member who takes the time to go through options with customers instead of being annoyed!

And therefore better (unless you be chillin in Belgium). That is not a compliment to be taken lightly. First American Saison that I actually want to fill up my growler with and don't care about the cost. That good. Pizza... I'm always sus about detroit style (allot of places precook the bread and therefore you are eating pizza toast). And for 28 bucks for a roni, I'd be a bit pissed. BUT. I actually dont know if they are doing that and franky don't care because I could not detect it (and I can usually tell being that I'm a bread baker). That being said, the bread is bomb as hell quite enjoyable. Even cold. So. It's worth the price. Or go spend the same or considerably more on some GIANT boring pizza somewhere else so you can eat leftovers for the rest of the week (or be in horrible pain from overeating). Your call. But worth it. Must try spot. House Saison. Done son #1.

Just left Discretion Brewing, see other review, and was not satisfied, so we came here. Sampled a few beers to start to confirm what I wanted. So I got my usual Red - Moped Irish Red Ale; so refreshing and with good flavors. Angus Double IPA - Against my better judgement, I finished my night with this. But that made my dinner better when we got to Shadowbrook, as I was so relaxed when I got there; see other reviews. Oh, ending up having the munchies so I also got a $1 bag of chips, lol. If you are following, you KNOW that my favorite breweries are ones where we can bring our own food, where they focus solely on making GREAT beer! Atmosphere - Decent size location, both indoor and outdoor seating. Events and food trucks, see website. Or my photo. Open 7 days a week, hours vary; see website. Wifi. Service - Cal is so professional and passionate about his job and beer! I believe he worked here for over 10 years. We had many different discussions on all the different beers they offer. I even eavesdropped on his beer conversations with the other patrons. Price - $18 + tip. Cost for good beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2023. Our local friends also recommended you, but that was after we already discovered you.

For Sante Adairius the beer that Steve and I had and I can report liked was their IPA known as Spots and Dots. This IPA was a bit more refreshing and fun compared to some IPA'S where it just seems like a blur from one brewery to the next and you wonder if you actually went to a different brewery from the previous one if you have IPA'S back to back. So in this regard I am happy to say that it was distinctive and had it's own signature. Flavor highlights with this IPA are hoppy, juicy and bitter. The beer is also aromatic and smooth. I found out later this brewery makes very good saisons so should the opportunity arise again to get a hold of one I certainly will as I love a good saison!

The fries with the spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce made the dish. It was very savory. My son enjoyed it. The fried calamari was also good. The calamari and jalapeno peppers were crispy and salted well. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied it was added a slight heat to the dish. We enjoyed our meal here and would return the next time we are in Santa Cruz.

My grandma and I visited around dinner on a Saturday and were seated on the (dog-friendly) patio. They did have propane heaters, but not enough of them, so it was quite chilly. For drinks, we both got hot Green Tea to warm up, which was very standard - served in pre-packed tea bags. For food, we ordered the Okonomiyaki Fries and Maitake Mushroom Flatbread to share. The Okonomiyaki Fries were pretty good and I enjoyed all the toppings, especially the spicy pink mayo. I usually prefer thinner fries, but I liked the crispy texture. However, the Maitake Mushroom Flatbread was a bit disappointing. There just wasn't enough bechamel and mozzarella on top and the flavor somewhat bland. Service was friendly, but I miss their old menu offerings, like the Heirloom Tomato Flatbread. Not a huge fan of the rebrand!
