Greatly enjoyed our stay at Four Points by Sheraton Anchorage Downtown and would stay again if we return to Anchorage: great location (walkable to the water, the Anchorage Museum, and a lovely park) and free parking. We found the staff to be welcoming and helpful (e.g., after a particularly muddy hiking trip, we were able to pre-rinse pants in the commercial laundry sink before using the guest laundry machines, and when craving an ice-cream sundae, we were directed to a few spots, both local and chain). Loved the 2-room king-sized suite, which included a couch and second television in the lounge portion of the suite, which was away from the window (particularly helpful for acclimating the body to nights where the sun barely sets in July). The lounge portion also had a larger-than-mini fridge in the TV cabinet. Speaking of the window in the bedroom: good light-blocking shades. Appreciated the fan setting on the HVAC unit for some white noise. One of the best fitness facilities/gyms I've encountered in a hotel, never mind a relatively affordable hotel: space to do floor work, ample cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, cycling), a couple weight benches, a variety of free weights/kettle bells and weight-lifting machines. And after a good workout, there's nothing better than a shower with great water pressure and steaming hot water: check and check! Otherwise, the room felt clean, there were electrical outlets and bedside tables on both sides of the bed, acceptable counter space on the bathroom vanity (which was located in between the bedroom and the lounge, outside the shower/toilet room), a working hair dryer, free basic wifi, a desk/desk chair with electrical outlet and desk lamp, complimentary basic coffee/tea machine, ice machine on the floor, etc. The few cons we encountered were easily solved: we were missing a bath towel, so I poked my head out when I heard the service roll by and was immediately provided with another; the duvet had clumpy filling, so we called the front desk for a blanket, which arrived promptly and did the trick.

Very comfortable stay! This hotel advertises itself as "all suites" and give you a huge room with a separate living room and door between the living room and bedroom. Two televisions (one on each side) with a mini fridge, separated shower and toilet with the vanity and sink inside the bedroom. Fitness center is huge and has lots of equipment for a hotel. Bed was soft and they had lots of pillow options to your liking. I would definitely come again!

After my Alaskan cruise was cancelled, I had to find last minute arrangements for my week in Anchorage. I came upon this hotel on booking.com and it looked great. Based on the pictures online, it never looked worthy of $300 a night, however, we were desperate. Upon arrival at the hotel, it appeared to only be ran by one very nice worker. When we entered the room, we were left in shock. The room looked like they took the lazy upgrade way. They painted the walls a dark blue, the toilet seat had no cover, and was just sad. The lights did not work and the ones that did did not provide enough lightning. This was a very depressing room and not up to par with the Marriott quality. The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because the worker was very nice and understood our issues. Needless to say, we did not stay the full 4 days. We didn't even stay 1 day. We checked out immediately. P.S. I've stayed in many hotels and never saw this warning about the locking system. It was definitely an awkward message to give guest.

This hotel was one of the nicest ones I have stayed in while on my entire two week trip in Alaska! I wish I had known it was so nice so I could've stayed here my entire time I was in Anchorage. I booked it the day before on kayak.com and it was around $250 which was pretty cheap for the short notice in comparison of all the other hotels in the area. They have free parking and there are plenty of restaurants and bars and shops within walking distance. The room I booked was the suite which was really spacious and updated. There was a living room area with a couch, fridge, tv, coffee table, and then walking into the bedroom there was a door in case you wanted to shut that off from the living room. The bathroom was huge with body wash and soap dispensers already in the shower! I don't usually use any soaps or hair products besides my own but when I arrived I was too tired to unpack and just had to take a shower. The products they have worked out great! The shower was perfect and large enough for you to shave your legs! Haha but if you have kids there is no tub in this type of room so be aware of that for the little ones. The king bed in the bedroom was super comfortable with fluffy feather pillows! The window has an awesome black out curtain that you pull down and makes the room completely black...which in Alaska summers is essential! The room is also decorated very modern and has great lighting and an awesome 65" tv! (Same size as the other tv in the "living room" space) If you need a place to stay or are having a night out with the family this place is great! I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in town!

No stir stick. So close and yet...

The pictures speak for themselves. Also the duvet's filling had melted up and so instead of filling there's just clumps where there should be softness and warmth. The note on the bed explaining that rooms don't get serviced except by request blah blah because 'employee shortage earned an eye roll from me. Plenty of people willing to work for living wages and great working conditions. Better learn to compete for good labor so you don't have toilets covered in urine. Gross. HAVE to stay here? I guess it's not the worst, but if you have any other option, go there

The living room was comfortable with a TV and fridge.

Horribly tasting food. Most of it was burnt, even the soup was bad. Would definetely never go there again.

We spent an entire week here from March 22-28, 2026, and honestly, we can't say enough good things…read moreabout our stay! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were absolutely wonderful--comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding--delicious, fresh, and consistently impressive throughout our stay. And the valet service? Exceptional!! Seamless, efficient, and always delivered with a smile. This has officially become our NEW favorite place to stay when we're in Anchorage. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly, highly recommend! Rooms We had a room on the 16th floor... the views were mindblowing.. the room so comfortable absolute perfection. Nearby activities Centrally located, we were there for medical reasons and just 5 min. from the Drs. offices. Safety We felt perfectly safe the entire time and went for several walks to explore the city. Walkability Convenient to EVERYTHING! Perfect location! Food & drinks We ate at the Crow's Nest, Fletchers and grabbed coffee at the Cubby all were delightful and delicious! Noteworthy details Valet staff was outstanding in every way, always pleasant, remembered our faces, so professional, we didn't have to lift a finger, if we didn't want to. Next time we will make sure to hit the Spa! Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value

As I walked through the lobby and in the elevators I was taken aback by how outdated this place was. This was especially apparent in the elevator with the gaudy faux gold hand rails and the smelly outdated carpet. It felt 1980's for sure! The room was average at best. I did have lunch and dinner at their restaurants and was very disappointed except for one (I will drop reviews on those restaurants). I love the history. But it's not enough for me to pay top dollar for an average hotel room. I will not be coming back.

What a nice place to stay for a few days! We were very impressed with the location around the float…read moreplane lake. All the employees here are super friendly! We had a really long drive on 5/15/2026, and checked in around 6 pm and Eurina L, was pleasant and friendly, and made us feel welcome! While I had booked my room through a third- party company, she found our reservation and was able to change us from a king bed to two double beds. That's great customer service. She even asked us what floor we would like to be on. I think she could see how tired we were from driving, so she gave us a nice room on the1st floor which was very convenient - since we knew we would be coming and going from our truck to our room. She made a great choice.. we were close to our vehicle so we didn't have to walk far to unpack our vehicle. Our room was cozy with a heater and an air conditioner. The beds were comfortable and there was great water pressure for the shower. Thank you to Eurina for making our evening welcoming and enjoyable. A second shout out to Boyd, at breakfast. Boyd was busy giving all the patrons their requests. I only saw him at breakfast and he was working hard but he was still friendly and helpful. He actually cared you could tell, that we got exactly what we needed for breakfast. The fruit was great and the hot meal was tasty. Thank you to both Eurina and Boyd for the hospitality. We appreciate you!!

2026.01.19 UPDATED 1-star to a 2-star: So after staying…read morethere it got a little better. The woman on the night shift was apologetic for the phone issues (though it's a Millennium issue, as she doesn't have control over getting them fixed). She offered us 2-vouchers for breakfast and waived the resort fee (whatever that is for...this is not a resort even if you squint), so glad to not have to pay that. Hotel: it's a bit worn, hallway carpet is pretty worn; the hallway walls, it's obvious if you know where to look (hint the loose wallpaper bubbles) that there was originally wallpaper that was then painted over w/a high gloss paint to give it a face lift and a bit more life. There was a shuttle...it was just parked at the hotel. I would think they'd watch the incoming flights and try to bet at the airport particularity when they have late check-ins on the books. Oddly the rooms are numbered in the 1000's...for the 1st floor, it was confusing b/c we went into the elevator then realized there were only 3-floors; oh and if you have a room in the 1050-1060's...it'll be a walk...it's a loooong hotel, though there is a 2nd entrance that you can use to shorten the walk from the parking lot. Room: big and spacious, and on a positive note the bed is comfortable (not stiff like many hotels, even upper brands) and the pillows were soft, so we had a decent nights sleep. The bed 'could' use a heavier comforter being in Alaska (cold!), the one they had was move of an early autumn thickness. The rooms is kinda cold so keep the heat on 68-70 b/c there's a window A/C w/ no insulation or even a cover one it, and the only thing between the cold 10deg Alaskan air leaking is is a heavy curtain...fortunately the bed is a good 5' from the window. The sink faucet was very loose, like is this gonna leak loose. There also was a broken reading light on the headboard w/ wires somewhat exposed that could become an electrical hazard. The door had an undercut that allowed the hallway light in like it was a small spotlight b/c it's directly in line of the bed (for the sleeper on the left). Safety-wise that undercut is not good, if there was a fire in the room the smoke would get pulled into that hallway, and if a fire in the hallway then it'd get pulled into the room...not good, the doors should seal. Breakfast buffet: food was fine and fresh (the maple bacon was awesome)...it's a basic offering: scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, toast/muffins, juice and coffee is served in 16oz cups so plenty to drink; staff is friendly. 2026.01.11 Well...we booked a couple nights through Chase Travel Portal using points. We chose this as it is very close to the airport, rooms looked good and and a place to eat on-site, *AND* b/c we were coming in with on a red-eye and they state they have a 14hr airport shuttle. Yeaaaaa that's not true...and on top of that when calling to find out how/where to get it you just go to voicemail or the line is busy. So we got a Lyft instead. Son't stay here if you need a shuttle at 1am or need to call them in the wee hours for any reason.
