I passed by a couple times and i could tell by the sign it was a vintage place. That instantly draws my attention as I am into those type of places. There aren't enough left. I got exactly what i expected I entered into a dark, vintage bar that feels like a step back in time. With its smoky ambiance and nostalgic decor, it's as if the place has remained untouched by the years. The vintage vibe was also enhanced with them playing classic 70s tunes. I was very pleased. The atmosphere was pretty warm and welcoming, with friendly patrons and the bartender was pleasant as well. It looked like they also sell small bottles of liquor and cigarette packs right behind the bar....not too many do that anymore. The machines here gave some play and it was actually fun to play instead of just the usual money soak. No food and Cash only are the pitfalls, but this was certainly a very cool experience. read more

This bar is a very friendly place to go to. Michelle is a beautiful and kind knowledgeable cocktail waitress! Chris knows how I have been going thru a rough time scince my boyfriend Randy Saderup died on Dec. 18, 24. He tells me to take care of myself. They also have security cameras for safety. I have been a loyal customer their scince 2017. And never have been harassed. Michelle Eve n came into the bathroom once to check on me because I got my bracelet stuck on my skirt. Laura is also very kind and told me she enjoyed my poem I wrote and recited titled: The Leaf That Fell From The Tree. Danielle is usually down their and quick to give me a well needed hug. I live alone, and called Michelle the other day and she gave me some well needed advice. She told me I can't save the world. Also they have a ATM machine their and it only costs 2.00 bucks to get money out! I live at kings Row and it is an easy walk if I need some socialism. A perfect Vegas dive bar. Simple, lots of gaming, cigarettes, basic drinks. Gamble around $20 and you shouldn't have to pay for at least 1 or 2 (well) drinks. It's that simple. If you are expecting something fancy, you are in the wrong fucking place. If you complain about cigarette smoke, you are absolutely definitely in the wrong fucking place. My co-worker invited me to come and enjoy some drinks and karaoke with her so I made my way down to this place on boulder hwy, it was quite an experience! As I entered in I could hear the jukebox music playing a lively country music tune that came into audio clarity as I stepped in. I felt I was thrown into one of those movies where the main character is the stranger who walks into a local country western bar and *boom*, you're in another world far away from the glitz and hustle of the nearby downtown Las Vegas city life. If there was a remnant of old town Fremont, this would be that place. There's a certain throwback feel and charm to this place. For instance, they do not accept credit cards, its cash only. My friend is not there yet so I step up to order a drink. There's a gentleman next to me who is singing along with a country song from the jukebox, he turns to me and smiles and sing me a verse. I smile and we chit chat about living in Texas. We both had that in common. Turns out the bartender had met me before and while we caught my co-worker shows up and the fun begins. From the many local regulars who know each other and those who are new to this place, there's a friendly vibe here. It also helps that the drinks are cheap here! Karaoke starts at 8pm and the KJ has many selections and there's even a little area of you want to dance! I would definitely come here again and invite more people. So this is a Vegas country dive bar that has karaoke. It is 4 miles down Boulder Highway from downtown - bar names don't get much more on point than that eh? (East Vegas Wasteland Bar was considered too honest) Anyway this place is the most authentic Texas Roadhouse style saloon that I've seen in Vegas, not that I've really been looking. The karaoke is DJ'd by a man with a HANDLEBAR MUSTACHE who looks like a real cowboy. There is a shotgun behind the counter next to the register. I noted three cowboy hats. They have an extensive selection of cheap beers and liquors, and enough whiskey to get a donkey drunk. I went with the $3 (!?) draft pint of Amberbock, a domestic with a darker color and more flavor than most. Highly highly disappointed by this place and surprised by the high ratings. My fiancé and I came in for a drink around 930 on a Friday. As SOON as you walk in the door, a thick cloud of cigarette smoke hits you in the face. We ordered 2 AMFs and they have a special for $1 peppermint schnapps shots, so we got two of those too. Our totally came out to $28... meaning our AMFs were $13 each?!?! This amount is astronomical compared to other bars on Boulder. Not to mention the drinks were mediocre. This is a CASH ONLY BAR - which we were not informed of prior to the bar tender making our drinks. Luckily we had cash on hand. There are homeless people and drug addicts loitering in the parking lot, which isn't abnormal for bars on the highway but still didn't give a welcoming vibe. Not sure where to go after leaving a Dottys location on Sahara . Although regulars and there on a daily basis , myself and daughter we were received and unappreciated by an employee in a disappointing foul way . Our feelings hurt and unsure where to go we decide we would try the 4 Mile Bar for a bite to eat and gaming . From the outside appearance it does not carry the weight that some of the big casino and bars have out here in Vegas . It sit quietly on a corner facing the ongoing busy traffic of Boulder Highway. As you enter the building it's capacity is not over bearing . There are not crowds to shuffle or get in your way. The setting is of a romantic dim lighting . Accompanied by the undertone voices of chatter amongst the customers you get the feel they are regulars and are comfortable . There are available tables and chairs to side away from the games for those who are there for just a drink . The bar seats approx. 15 guest with table games facing upward . This establishment considers their customers wellbeing and having installed clear barriers in between each sitting . They have numerous munchies for those who want a snack and provide hot menu items to choose from if your appetite requires something bigger . Their drinks are cold and placed on ice prepared for the next . The music not overbearing allows you to hear as you communicate with each other. The service is what I found most enjoyable and appealing to want to back. Tammy was the bar tender whom exceeded the expectations of excellent customer service . She has a professional warmth aura about her and towards all that gives you the feeling she's happy your there. Her willingness to provide what you need by checking up regularly is refreshing . She's funny in her joking comments that you can't miss . She's graceful and has the confidence to admit to a mistake. Not overbearing in any of her ways she carries her apology the action to correct the mistake. Tammy has the quality all establishments in this field should want in their employees as good bar tenders and PR representative . Not knowing what took place , Tammy created an experience at the 4 Mile Bar created a good memory . She made up for the mistreatment we got earlier in the evening at Dottys . Thanks Tammy . I've been coming to this place for three years. Love the Karaoke. It is too bad that a lazy, selfish bartender is at work on Friday nights. I watched a number of people get ignored. I don't know about you, but when I spend my cash, I want service. Or I can spend it somewhere else. Slot machines suck. We thought we would start our day off with a short trip from downtown Las Vegas . . . and 4 miles away sits this small dive bar . . . with cheap cold beer . . . that is if they would have CO2. Are you kidding me . . . a bar running out of CO2 . . . you are either a really busy and great dive bar . . . or . . . you have problems. Sorry to say . . . I believe it's the latter. Anyways . . . we stopped in mid morning and there were plenty of locals playing the slots . . . so it is truly hard to judge what this place would be like a night with Karaoke and a DJ . . . but I just can't get pass the fact that they ran out of CO2. Will I ever be back . . . probably not . . . but if I do . . . I would be at night to see if this place is any better at another time of day. read more

4 Mile is one of my favourite dive bars. The drinks are cheap, the atmosphere is great and the bartenders are fun!

The Four Mile Bar is admittedly a bit rough around the edges. It's located right in front of a trailer park in a not so happening section of Boulder Highway. It's a country bar and most of the clientele seem to know each other and many live in the immediate area as well. It's not exactly the kind of crowd that I normally would hang out with but the bartender, Andrew is a cool guy and the drinks are CHEAP! If you're a low roller, there's plenty of penny and nickel video poker to be found as well. But if there's one thing that keeps me coming back, it's the karaoke that takes place on Friday and Saturday nights! I'm not singing but watching this crowd belt out all the old favs definitely makes this worth the trip. It's dirty, it's smoky, but damnit, it's quite the dive bar! read more

I came to this place for the very first time ever on May 5,Cinco de Mayo night with my friend Ally and her husband Scott and her friend Faye.Ally had been telling me about this place for weeks.She usually comes here on Friday nights and likes to participate in their karaoke.It is a so called dive bar but I found it to be extremely laid back with a very pleasant vibe,Their alcohol prices are very reasonable.I had a couple of $6,00 pitchers of Busch beers which I had no complaint about in a world where $10.00 or more for a single drink is rapidly becoming the norm.I found this place to be very unpretentious.I always prefer an unpretentious dive to a snobby,pretentious or expensive so called classy place.The quality of the karaoke varied quite a bit,from some really decent singers to some real horrors but I guess sometimes you have to hear the bad singers to more fully appreciate the good ones,We left fairly early but I wouldn't have minded staying there until later.I definitely plan on returning here with my friends again.I had a GREAT time and would recommend this place.I think you will enjoy it if you are not a real snob. read more

As far as drinks go, this is one of the least expensive bars in the city, with perhaps the greatest service from the pleasant and expedient bartenders. 4Mile Bar is now "The Entertainment Capital Of Boulder Highway", having karaoke Thursdays 7pm to 12am, and Fri./Sat. from 8pm to 1am. People come here for karaoke from all over( in-state/out-of-state ), knowing they will be well taken care of in the "fairest rotation in town", by Kerry Loso, who's been KJ'ing for 22+ years, and has been at the 4MB for 11 1/2 years already! With the low ceiling, the sound is the best you can get, and each person is individually mixed with the music. This is a really cool bar....i frequent it on a regular basis.....cheap drinks it's close by cool bartenders they got kareoke on Thursdays fridays & Saturday nights which is excellent...it's an older country cowboy biker type bar...it's totally different from my test but @ least you don't get treated like shit (like some bars i've been to) it could use some renovating because it's really old..but other than that GREAT bar! read more
