Truly unbelievable! I was fooled by the old Google ratings, clearly things have since then changed. It took 4 months to get an appointment booked after paying over $2700 on a deposit. They told us we needed temporary support posts installed before the beam replacement so we paid them. They came out multiple times at no charge but not once did they mention it was to check if brick work on the basement columns had been completed. We thought they did masonry if provided materials but they don't offer this service, no problem. As advised we got an engineers report, calculations, diagrams, and a masonry worker to contact Jason so he could be specific on the details to the masonry workers. After the completed brickwork, Jason gave excuses on it being bigger than they anticipated and weren't confident in safely and successfully completing the job with the crew they have. This should have been disclosed PRIOR to collecting any money from us and having us pay companies on things deemed vital for them to begin their part of the contract. Evidently, our contract was terminated. So here's the kicker. We had to call from different phone numbers because they screened our calls and ignored emails when we wanted to speak with Gayle, the manager, about our refund. Just overtly unprofessional. I've never experienced such a disservice from any company quite like this. It took over a week to get an itemized breakdown. When we finally got a partial refund we noticed we were charged for materials that were never used. We were charged $534 for 6 black temporary posts and $300 for 6 concrete pads. We noticed they only installed 5 black posts and 4 concrete pads and they placed 1 post on a piece of wood. Multiple times I contacted Gayle, but again, was blatantly ignored when I found their mistake of $189. We documented and informed them via photos on their mistakes but they continued to screen our calls, voicemail, and emails. They refused to make any corrections. All of this and to our elderly neighbor who we were financially helping bring this basement beam replacement to complete. They literally took her initial half of the deposit and made us split our remaining half and called it a partial refund. Terrible service and communication all around. As a business owner myself, I would never approve of this treatment towards anyone of any kind. Do yourself a favor and find a more reputable company that won't treat you as if you're less than, take your money and leave you high and dry. Ironically, The Foundation Doctor is not built on a good foundation. read more
