A group of girlfriends and myself decided to support Breast Cancer Awareness month by cutting and donating our hair to an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients. Taylor and Sabrina from Forte Salon helped us organize this event and were our stylists for the event. First of all, they did a fantastic job with our cuts and styles. They went out of their way to make us look fantastic and gave us lots of great tips on how to style our new short locks. We've all gotten so many great compliments on our new hair styles. Additionally, they were incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the planning of the event. I love that I can show her a picture of hair color and cut I like on Pinterest and she is able to recreate the look. I discovered Julissa at Forte salon about 10 years ago and LOVE her!! I found the Forte salon because I was looking for a clean place that threads eyebrows and Julissa delivered. A few years later, she started cutting my hair as well and she always gave me a great look at a great price! She is a major perfectionist, which is all you can ask for in an eyebrow/hair stylist, and she will not let you walk out of there looking like anything less then perfect. I had Taylor cut my hair and she did a really great job. I told her only a trim because I wanted to keep some length and she totally listened! I told her to cut less than what I wanted because I'm so use to hair stylist that cut above and beyond what you asked them to. I actually had to tell her to cut more off in the end because I didn't expect her to really listen to me! LOL! It costed me $45 + tip for wash, cut, and style! This salon is so clean and classy. I had an appointment and they took me right away and offered me water, coffee or a glass of wine. Amelia did my hair. I got highlights and a re-touch of color. She definately knows her stuff! My hair is blonde and never looks brassy and she fla-irons it straight and it is NEVER frizzy. The other stylists are also welcoming and friendly :)Amelia is the BEST! I am definitely a fan of Sabrina's, although the overall organization at Forte might need a little work. For a wedding I was recently in, I was tasked with arranging a makeup artist, while the bride handled our hair. I figured life would be easiest if we had them done in the same place, so I called Forte and talked to a very nice woman (apparently the owner?) who confirmed that yes, they had a makeup artist, her name was Sabrina, and she was excellent. I mentioned that we would be coming in on Saturday the ___ to have our hair done, and would we be able to get makeup done then, too? Absolutely, Sabrina will be here! It wasn't until I spoke with the bride that I found out Sabrina was actually the stylist doing our hair! I don't know whether the owner wasn't looking in the appointment book to see that Sabrina was booked, or what, but making plans and finding out that the artist you were told could do the work couldn't is kind of harrowing when dealing with wedding stress. I called Sabrina, who was just sweet as could be. She explained that there was another stylist who could do makeup, but that she had come (4 months ago!) from a salon that provided the kit, so she didn't have a kid of her own. If we wanted this other stylist to do our makeup, we would have to provide the makeup! I said no thank you (honestly, if it's my makeup, I can apply it just fine, thanks! If it's been 4 months, you'd figure she'd have gotten a kit together by now!) and booked appointments at nearby Escape. As for the hair, though, Sabrina was fantastic. I brought in reference photos from my sister's wedding, and she was able to very nearly replicate the style I wanted. She spent a ton of time with us, particularly the bride, to make sure we looked just how we wanted for the wedding. She even brought in orange juice and champagne so we could have mimosas as we got our hair done! I would definitely go back to Sabrina, although scheduling anything else at Forte would probably involve some pretty specific questions on my part from here on out. read more

I've been here a few times to various people and been very happy every time. Most recently I saw Amanda, who was great and fun to talk to. She was happy to work with my requests which were pretty vague and made sure to check in along the way about making adjustments. She also asked permission before using hairspray, which was nice because I hate it when stylists go crazy with hairspray! Very satisfied with the results and the price for college students ($35) is very reasonable! And my blow dry stayed gorgeous all week. read more

I was completely satisfied with my haircut by Sabrina and thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Forte. I highly recommend this salon; it was a delight to have my hair cut! Sabrina listened to me and understood what Iwanted --even more than I did. She had her own great suggestions, which I expected as she is the expert, but she told me about her ideas before doing anything and asked what I thought. I gave her conflicting direction as I didn't want to loose too much length, but wanted my hair to look healthy and most of the dead ends to go. Sabrina made it work and talked me through how she could achieve that. Most importantly, she wasn't afraid to really thin out and texturize my hair and it now feels so light and falls nicely. I LOVE this salon. I've been here twice now and I really can't say enough good things about it. The girls are friendly and the stylists really know what they're doing. My stylist makes me feel completely at ease and managed to cut my hair in a way that still looked good as it grew out. Because of how fast my hair grows (close to an inch a month) and how straight my hair is, my hair usually starts to look really raggedy and gross about a month after it's been cut. Surprisingly, after I cut it here my hair still looked really good even though everything she cut off had grown back. You definitely won't regret coming here. read more

I have been going to Taylor for a few years now and she never fails me! I had a hair emergency after hours and BOOM she fixed it and made my hair look awesome! She listens to me and does exactly what I want and is always more cautious than any other stylist i had ever been too. Taylor is my go to girl and when i said i wanted sunset ombre colored hair, she provided and it looked damn hot! I chose Forte based on all of the positive comments on Yelp and I'm so pleased I did. The first time I made an appointment was after a couple of mediocre experiences at two other salons in an attempt to get a pixie cut. I ended up making an appointment and the receptionist set me up with Sabrina. It has now been over a year and I have been seeing Sabrina for my hair needs ever since. She listens and offers suggestions for how to proceed with whatever idea I have. If I am unsure about something, she does not attempt to talk me into it and doesn't just stare at me while I talk out my ideas. I also appreciate that she does not attempt to sell me products that I cannot afford, like some salons do. I feel that the prices are reasonable and the staff is quite personable (though, Sabrina is still my go-to stylist). I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

I walked in and Amanda at the front desk gave me a warm smile. I instantly knew this was the place for me. I did not know she was the hairstylist and said she could take me now. I got my hair done by the owner "Julissa" she took her time to really understand how i wanted my hair which is really coool! then she did exactly what i invisioned! The best part was how she shampooed and conditioned my hair and suggested some great products that would really work great! She is a great hairstylist and matter of fact im going back again this week just for a shampoo and blow dry!
