Terrible experience…read more I normally do not leave reviews, and I am usually willing to let a bad experience go without saying anything. However, this experience was significant enough that I feel it is important to share what happened. This was my first visit to Fort Worth Dental. No dental treatment was provided. I left the appointment without receiving the care I came in for, yet the practice still submitted a claim to my insurance. During the appointment, I was accused by the dentist Dr. Pham three separate times of drug use based on the condition of my teeth. I do not use drugs. I also do not believe the condition of my teeth was severe enough to warrant such an accusation, particularly from someone who had no knowledge of my dental history. What I found especially unprofessional and ignorant was that, after I corrected the accusation, it was repeated rather than acknowledged and moved past. As a patient, you have to trust your dental provider to listen to you, respect you, and approach your care professionally. I felt that trust was violated during my very first visit. Patients should be able to seek dental care without being subjected to unsupported accusations, particularly when those accusations are repeated after being corrected. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this practice to anyone who values being treated with basic respect, professionalism, and trust. The dentist was confidently incorrect and made the entire situation extremely unprofessional.

I decided I was being stupid and needed to get this back on track, so I started researching online. I have heard many, many, many commercials for Mint Dentistry and other "Dentist in a Box" spots, but was skeptical. They tout the thousands of positive reviews online, which is valid to a point, but I've never found positive reviews that helpful. Look at the negative ones. There, I saw mention of the cattle-call/sheep-herd approach that happens at the new chain places - very little personalized service and a quick, surface level check. No thank you. In contrast, the reviews for Arts District were almost universally positive and touted the amount of time and attention spect with patients. I can now attest this is absolute reality. My initial appointment went for approximately two hours. In that time, totally covered and zero cost to me via my Metlife insurance, I received x-rays, multiple photographic reviews of all teeth, a thorough two-pass cleaning with the scraper thing, a brushing with the nasty dental pumice paste, gum assessment and finally an assessment by the dentist. Despite my long absence from the dental game, there was no judgement at all. I had a couple of fillings (30 years old) which need replacement. I have a spot on my tongue (probably because I bit it myself) which they want to keep an eye on. No push for extra services, no pressure at all. Just a happy staff glad you are taking responsibility for your teeth.

For any new patient please see warning below!!…read more I wanted to report the dentist office below for fraudulent insurance activity for new patients. The front office confirmed with me in person twice before my visit that the appointment would be covered by my insurance (dental X-rays and cleaning). They tried to charge me for my visit after the fact since they found out it actually was not covered. They wiped the charges from my account as they were in the wrong and this was documented on their end. Now they are withholding my X-rays from me for my new dentist who uses my insurance as they want me to pay to release these. I can't charge two X-rays on insurance.. All in all I have reported them to the Texas Dental State Board and I would advise you to seek a more reliable and honest dental professional.

I called today for an appointment to have a tooth extracted, because of having an abscess. The person that answered the telephone, was very professional, and courteous. Took all the information, and told me come at 1.30pm, and Dr. Luk will check and inform you if we can do the extraction. I arrived at 1.30 PM, the front desk representative, was very pleasant, and helpful. Informed me she was going to help me with the registeration. She did all the completion of the detailed personal and medical informations. I was surprised with all the help I received from this kind lady. I was called inside to meet Dr. Luk. He appeared very caring, professional, respectful, and very informative about my dental problem. Explained in detail what possibilities and choices I had. I decided to have it extracted. Dr. Luk informed me he will do the extraction Monday at 4pm, after checking, my INR result, and contacting my cardiologist. I was very impressed with his caring and checking all the details of the blood works. Only the best Doctors would probe the detailed medical issues. Thank you Dr. Luk for your detailed investigation of the medical records. My experience was excellent. Everybody that I have come across, at your clinic, have been the best, excellent. I had such a great experience! My appointment was at 8:00 AM, and I arrived around 7:55. They took me back right at 8:00, which I really appreciated. My cleaning was quick, easy, and completely painless. I was honestly surprised by how fast everything went without feeling rushed. I also had some shifting in my teeth, so they walked me through Invisalign's four-round retainer plan. They explained everything clearly--the total cost, what my insurance would cover, and the payment breakdown. I expected it to be much more expensive, so I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was. I actually came here about two years ago but had to switch dentists because of a job change and different insurance. I really didn't enjoy the experience with my new dentist, so when my insurance changed again, I called Dennis Office to see if they accepted it. Thankfully they did, and I'm so happy to be back. The team is friendly, efficient, and makes the entire visit stress-free. I have been going to Fort Dental for several years now. I've had a lot of work done on my teeth thru the years so have a lot of $$ invested in my mouth! I am very particular about my dentist because I've spent so much money and because I do take care of my teeth. I can't say enough nice things about this entire office! Everyone is so nice, and professional. From Dawn, my Hygenist to the girls at the front desk- everyone is great and easy to work with. Dr Thorburn is my dentist and he is up on all the latest things but also has practical common sense. I have been a client of this office for well over 30 years. They have taken me from broken crowns to crowns, cavities and abscesses to root canals and several dental implants, even a veneer-not to mention countless tooth cleanings! (Yay dental hygienists!) Long ago I came to trust them for pain management, dental education and excellent care, even with the succession of dentists that inevitably occurs with an office in operation as long as this has been. Even if you need work done that they cannot provide (oral surgery, etc.), they have a cadre of high quality sources to refer you to. I wouldn't trade them for the world! read more

Took my son for a dental cleaning and checkup, and just want to say how outstanding Dr.Luk was! We went pretty late in the day and all the dental hygienists were gone, but Dr. Luk did the cleaning and also pulled the extra baby tooth that didn't want to come out on it's own so we did not have to come back for an additional visit. He even found an extra adult tooth that was hidden under my sons bottom adult teeth, and referred us to an oral surgeon for this. He was very nice, put my son at ease, and now we are in the process of switching our daughter over to Dr.Luk as well. read more

I'm nervous about dentists so I called many in my area, hung up based on front desk attitude over the phone. this location is almost an hour away from me but I don't regret my decision. those wonderful ladies at the front desk are so kind and amazing, never rushed me over phone. everyone that looks at you has a huge smile. the offices are beautiful I got to watch squirrels running around on the balcony while I was nervous. and when I arrived to the clinic I realized everyone there had impeccable kindness. Dr. Luk has great bedside manner! Not only is it clear he knows what he's talking about, but also he knows how to explain things in a way that doesn't use dental jargon. Not to mention, he's pretty motivating in how and why you should care for your teeth. I got my problem (toothache) identified and they followed up with a straight forward treatment plan -- no fluff, no unnecessary charges. Very prompt receptionist staff as well. Always a pleasant experience. Dawn is great to talk with during the cleaning, and Dr. Thorburn always makes a point to check in each visit. Excited they're moving even closer to my house. Highly recommended. PS- Had switched from a big box dental chain that was recommending a root canal for me in my mid 20's. Went to Fort Dental for a second opinion and they fixed the issue in mere minutes with no surgery. They won me over that day 10 years ago. read more

Dr Thorburn did an amazing job with placing my implant. He was very thorough and made sure that I was comfortable with proceeding to each step. After a year long process of needing a graft for the implant, I am finally done and have my smile back. Then I saw Dr. Lambourbe, he concluded that I would need to use their third party dentist to remove my wisdom teeth. The problems came with the "outside" dentist and his assistant that come into the office every other week for the removal. The assistants name was Olivia and she had an attitude. I wasn't sure if it was because I decline the additional services, or customer service just wasn't a priority. It was an unpleasant interaction from beginning to end. Before leaving I asked if there was ice I could use and she said I don't know this isn't my office. So when I went to the front to pay, I asked the staff and Olivia said I was just about to get it. Well, I wouldn't know because of your previous response. The paperwork I was given didn't have any signatures for the prescriptions. Then Olivia said I was just about to do that. So then that should have been done before handing me my paperwork. Then the trouble came with filling prescription. I let them know there was issue and if they could let the dentist know. 3 hours go by, no one calls, so I call back. Whoever answered the call was rude, asks me if " I'm in pain?". It was a mess. Then as time goes by I realized I was never given a follow up appointment. So I call to inquiry and the receptionist was like okay well do you notice any pain or discomfort. I said no but I wanted to make sure I was looked at and she says " Well everything is good on our end". I was so turned off. It felt like I was just a transaction, no concern for care. Would never be back or recommend a person to experience what I did.
