I had my first appointment at Rubal Dentistry after a good friend recommended them to me. Can't miss their building, as it has a big tooth in front! My hygienist, Jane, was extremely kind and made sure I was not in any pain while she was working on me. I used to be a patient at Ballard in Boyd. After comparing pricing on a deep clean I found Dr.Rubals office to be much more economical. Being on disability my funds are limited so every penny counts! I've never heard a person talk to a patient/customer like this. The dental assistant was rough and rude. I've had a ton of dentistry elsewhere and never had someone cut my mouth like she did. I told her she was hurting my mouth and she snapped and started screaming at me. She kept yelling, "don't tell me how to do my job." Good crew. They try to help you as best they can. They squeeze you in when they can. Most places will not do that. They call you back when they say they will Customer service is great. They go the extra mile. The crew is what makes the dentist look professional. I can't say that I've seen the Dentist as often as I can say I've seen the crew who work under him or her. My appointment was for a Thursday, but they had openings for Tuesday and that worked out for me. I went in for a general cleaning and found that I had decay between my crown and gum which required attention. I also had two cavities. Dr Rubal looked at all the info and checked my teeth. He relayed all the info to the dental assistant Jane as if I were not in the room. He must be a very busy guy. Jane was very nice and provided details of issues with my teeth and gums. She pointed out that my gum lines had receded to past a 3. I never heard of deep cleaning before and decided to go with the procedure. She provided me with the cost details before she proceeded. It's a little expensive and I guess insurance does not cover that expense. She showed me pictures of all the area that needed attention. I really liked that. She also provided cost details for a new crown and fillings. Compared to my previous dentist, the costs for the procedures are very good They had an appointment opening a week out, but I had a conflict that week and the following week. I made my appointment for three weeks out since I was unable to make the appointment, but requested if there were any openings this week, I could make it. Went in for filling, the office staff is wonderful, friendly and accommodating but the DDS was quite rough, for a petite woman, and seemed rushed and struggled with her equipment and supplies. Her assistant, though nice, wasn't great either. If I wasn't left to choke, I was getting a facial. That last comment is a little harsh and unnecessary but I left pretty upset about the treatment. I asked the front desk to not schedule me with either lady in the future which she received well; not offended or rude about it so that was appreciated. The work done feels good but it included a disclaimer so that didn't make me feel too confident, and chewing gum gets snagged somewhere. I hope my next appointment is better. Maybe it was just a bad day. read more

I took my daughter to them and when I was told she had a cavity in one of her baby teeth they told me they were going to fix it with a filling. I had wanted a second opinion because my feeling was if she loses this tooth within six months to a year I would rather wait or at least see what another dentist felt about it. Not long after my visit I'll was dismissed as a patient. Wow. I guess don't second guess their opinion. read more

I'm surprised to see negative reviews, as a new patient all of my visits have been wonderful. My mom has been a patient for years and has only good things to say. The staff is very warm and welcoming, and the doctor made sure I was comfortable and calm for the crown I had put on this morning. I was really disappointed in the level of care that I received at Today's Dental in Azle. I went in for a root canal and was very nervous. The doctor was so impatient with me while administering the numbing agent that he walked out of the room in the middle of numbing my mouth. The dental assistant told me that "they didn't have time to wait on me" and that "they couldn't help me." I was so frustrated, angry, and upset that I walked out of the exam room, with a numb mouth and no root canal. They treated me like a child instead of a nervous patient. read more

Been going to Today's dental in Azle TX for 15 years, they were very good in the beginning when small office, now they are over priced and office staff screws up insurance claims and are basically incompetent and rude! Scale of 1 to 10 I rate them a two. read more

I don't really write reviews, but the service that I was provided by Today's Dental inclined me to write one. I originally went in for a regular cleaning, and they were very thorough. Then I had a few more visits after the cleaning to get my cavities filled in, and they got the job done quick. The staff are also very professional and friendly. Dr Frank Rubal- Unprofessional Conduct. Lying to patients, office refuses to bill secondary insurance and he defrauds the public. My daughter was told that due to her pregnancy and lack of calcium, the baby had taken all her calcium, her teeth were decaying rapidly and that she would need to have all her teeth extracted and have either Dentures or Veneers. Can you imagine being 21 years old and being told this. We had been going to him for over 15 years-no reason not to believe him, right? Obviously wrong. After a year of being told there was nothing that could be done, he accepted an appointment, took her insurance money for "Xrays" and told her her would not see her any more so, for the last year her teeth have been getting worse and worse and now severe pain and infection and he refuses to treat her. What a guy. See what a 15 year loyalty gets ya......Not a thing. read more
