I wanted to update my review to reflect my more recent experiences. Initially I thought I found an awesome dentist, but it was unfortunately too good to be true. A few months ago, I found Dr. Tillman from his reputation with patients. They explained to me that they run insurance estimates prior to, and that all payments would be required in advance or upon service. I had prepaid the amount quoted and then had some needed dental work done on top of that. Prepaid both times, and was told on my last visit that I was square. Turns out that wasn't true and now they claim I owed money from my first xray visit. Why wasn't this brought up on the follow up visit? Or the visit after that for corrections to the initial work? They will essentially balance bill you and say it was an estimate. I also had an appointment scheduled this week (for today), but they didn't have me on the schedule. Dr. Tillman personally called me on Jan 3rd to follow up on the remainder of the treatment plan HE recommended. Someone got confused and didn't add me to the schedule and they have no record of it. Funny how I have the voicemail and phone record for it. Dishonest and disorganized is how I'd summarize it. Dr. Tillman clearly cares for his patients, but something is disorganized and it's not me. read more

He has one of the worst doctors and was very disappointed. He seemed so nice at first tell me I needed a root canal went to two other doctors and opinions and said I never even needed one . was going to charge me double the price on my bridge of what other dentist were charging. Be careful it's all about the money there Catherine his manager is also very manipulative and fake. They make you think that they're friendly but they are truly not. They're just out to get your money they ripped me off and I want to seek justice, they want to charge you for things that aren't being done so be careful get second opinions. read more

Paid this man cash $8000,now I have 2 less teeth and the thing that runs the office refused to work with me financially.Stay away. I had had 40% break and lost one because the first crown he put on broke within 2months so then a bridge .. it has failed miserably.it came off then he recemented it and the the opposite tooth broke after all that cash I have the office thing would not work with me financially. 80% failure rate. The first time coming here and I absolutely loved it! It's rare for someone to say they actually lead a good dental experience. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time but most importantly I was so impressed by the technology I really liked how they took x-rays pop on the computer screen automatically. They took the time to answer any and every question I had from what kind of toothbrush to what technique to use while brushing the teeth. A good dentist is hard to come by, and a great, honest, straightforward, and thorough dentist is like a unicorn. Expect to just have an examination your first visit. This allows them to take the time necessary to completely review any areas of concern with you instead of finding a painful spot during a cleaning and gives you time to decide on any recommended procedures. Dr. Tillman's expertise is evident by his explanations and impeccable bedside manner, all the staff is beyond great, and the comfy chairs even provide vibrational massage and heat. After leaving my first appointment I knew exactly what condition my teeth were in and what would be monitored as a regular patient there. Would highly recommend this office for its family feel and professionalism! Update: went back for a routine cleaning. The visit was super efficient and most importantly, Meledy did a superb, pain free, cleaning! Definitely coming back. read more

Dr. TIllman and his staff deceived and misled me into receiving a service that I did not want to have in the first place. I was strongly encouraged to have the service by his staff person Catherine , who told me that I would have to pay $102.20 for the service, regardless of whether or not all or part of it was covered by insurance. I asked on multiple occasions if $102.20 was all I would ever have to pay. I was told that $102.20 was all I would ever have to pay more than once. I was never told, not even once, that my payment was only an estimate, subject to insurance payment. Catherine from his staff even had me sign a document confirming my $102.20 payment for this service. In this document, Catherine crossed out in ink the total charges and put squares around the amounts I would have to pay. When the insurance carrier denied payment, Dr. Tillman then changed his story, and said that I now owe him an additional $408.80. When I tried to tell Dr. Tillman the truth of what happened, he tried to suggest I was lying. When I showed him the altered document, he suggested that it was a fake. Beyond that he was rude, disrespectful, and refused to write off the $408.80. This is the lowest form of "bait and switch" tactics I have ever seen from a so-called professional. Rather than simply apologizing for the mistake made by his staff, and trying the make things right with a patient, Dr. Tillman chose to have a loud argument in front of his staff and his other patients who were in the waiting room. Over $408.80. He values $408.80 over his reputation and goodwill with his staff and patients. ADDENDUM: I sent Dr. Tillman a check for the wrongful amount that his office misled into thinking I would never have to pay. I included a cover letter in which I challenged Dr. Tillman to return the check to me, and if he did, I would donate the monies to a charity that provides free dental care to poor children in Tarrant County. Dr. Tillman never responded to my letter, and simply deposited the check in his bank account. This should tell you all you ever need to know about David Tillman and his dental practice! read more

Catherine, Dr Tillman's office Mgr fit me in today as I had broken a front veneer. I saw Dr Davis & absolutely loved her. Immediately I knew she was a very competent good dentist. Her asst Melody was fabulous to, they both made feel at ease ( I'm actually terrified of the dentist)as did the eNtire staff from the moment you walk into the door until you leave. The practice is extremely high tech very clean and decorated beautifully. The environment is that of peace & ease. Dr Davis took her time & talked to me not @ me & answered all of my questions. I am going back in 2 weeks to start a Full Mouth Restoration wich will involve Inplants etc. I thought they would have to pull all of my teeth & Dr Davis said let's wait until we get a full work up we can talk about your choices then. The staff was pleasant and the office was clean and organized. During my first visit they took X-rays and examined my teeth. No cleaning (even a basic one) was performed. Dr. Tillman recommended I return for dental work for one cavity that would cost me (after insurance) over $2000. I went to another (well-rated) dentist who did perform a complimentary basic cleaning and after an equally thorough examination offered a more conservative approach that cost a lot less money. Overall, I would recommend getting a second opinion before jumping in with expensive and possibly unneeded dental treatments. read more

First, the Dr is fine and seems knowledgeable. However, they are so busy it makes getting an appt difficult unless you're ok with waiting weeks. They have too many patients. You don't even get a full deep cleaning at one visit---they do half the mouth and then the remaining on another day. If you have to get more extensive work done, like a crown, the dr doesn't even do most of the work...another person (that's not a dr) does it. Maybe that's an acceptable practice, but just not for me. I feel there is some sloppiness bc they are so rushed to get to the next appointment. The staff are all very nice and friendly. read more

As a follow up to my last comment...Dr. Tillman refused to do a cleaning and stated that I needed a deep root cleaning without further examining teeth and/or taking measurements. Today I went to a very reputable dentist here in Fort Worth. I was given a thorough examination and received a cleaning with a recommendation that I come in every 4 months. Total cost $105.00. The the lady at the front desk was kind and courteous. In my opinion, this is further evidence that Dr. Tillman is gouging his patience. He also had the audacity to invite me to take a spin in his heated-message chairs. Believe me folks you will be paying for those heated-message chairs. Unless you just have money to throw away I would suggest you find another dentist. read more
