My wife Dr. Yang online as he is one of two people in Texas that can fix cavities between teeth with resin infiltration. We got to his office and he took xrays and couldn't find any cavities, the other dentist lied to my to make money. He then checked my teeth and said I don't need a deep cleaning as my teeth and gums are fine, and gave me a cleaning. He is honest and very nice. He listens to the patient. They also dispute almost all the 1-star reviews as you must have the wrong office, never a patient there, even though they have receipts. The reason you see so many 5-star reviews is on your first visit they are overly nice and then begging you for a 5-star review before you leave the building (don't believe me look for yourself). That is the trap then on following visits is when they start to show their authentic selves screwing you over at every turn. Charm Dental is a perfect name, they charm you, then try to charm all the money out of your bank account. His fake smile is a character, when I was there, he was having a staff meeting and I walked around the corner and he was speaking to them like dogs, which you can see in their faces walking around on eggshells not to set off his rage. We paid 3,600 dollars for 3 hours of anesthesia and were told it was from when my son went under until he woke up. That was a lie they added 2.5 hours to his time by including when the vendor they used showed up and then left. We were not even in the office for 5.5 hours so how could my child be under that long? His work was awful, and we had to keep going back to fix it, so we went to another dentist and paid them $500 dollars to fix Dr. Mehtas' mistakes. We had disputed the amount billed and my wife and I were invited by Dr. Mehta to finalize the bill and come to an agreement (see photo below). Little did we know we were walking into an ambush by a very evil man. I came in good faith to get to the bottom of this, he shuts the door and then begins attacking my wife and I out of nowhere. His fake smile turned into rage as he accused me of being a horrible human, and my wife as an awful mother, which is very bizarre because he does not even know us. He then gets mad that we have great dental insurance which is great for us but not as good for him. He prefers cash pay so he can take advantage of the poor people coming in that have no idea he is about to rob them. Many of the reviews state his dad that was a dentist and treated his patients the same way. One of the most bizarre things in his office is he pulls out his phone and shows us a video of his son with a busted forehead that needed stitches. One it is strange he showed us and filmed it but tells us he made his son do it without pain medication. What type of monster does that to his child and films it, then shows it to people he is yelling at to prove he is some kind of tough guy. This is the same monster that wants to torture his patients and staff. Do yourself a HUGE favor read this and do your own research going over real reviews. I have also made a formal complaint to the Texas Medical Review Board for their investigation. This corruption must be exposed, before he is allowed to keep hurting more people under the guise as a doctor.

UPDATE: I went and sought out a 2nd opinion...since Fort bend Dental Aliana didn't want to help me…read morethe same day...This new dentist evaluated Dr. Barrata's work...it wasn't the adhesive that was the issue....Barrata didn't cut real tooth enough for crown to sit on with good grip...so crown has a wabble effect and caused the crown to fall off.....it wasn't the adhesive...it's that the tooth that the crown sits on wasn't cut small enough for the. -- Initially I thought it was a good place, I only got tooth cleaning done. So, I provided a good review. It takes time to get to know how this organization operates. I had to go back in for a tooth issue where I needed a crown. This is when I started realizing they are not doing something correct. Vinny Barrata is assigned to me as my dentist, he seemed like he knows what he is doing. Anyways, he worked on a tooth of mine..he shaved off the cracks and sized it to set a crown on. Initially had a temporary crown for a couple of weeks while I waited to get my new crown. The problems began after getting my new crown. Note: I have experience with 4 other crowns now been set in my mouth for over 5 years. But the crown that Dr. Barrata did, first try the crown that Barrata set, it popped out in two weeks. I had to go back. Second time, Barratta put a new crown in popped out in 11 months, so I went back recently, Barrata again worked on it...I told him I thought it was the adhesive. But he chose to go the route of using a backup crown that he ordered, and put it on...he still chose to use old adhesive and new crown.. Personally, i told him if he's using the same adhesive, I don't think it will fix it...later the same day in the evening I was having dinner, just eating rice and it popped out again...that's 3 times a crown popped out worked on my tooth by Dr. Barrata. I called the Aliana dental folks asking for help today and they rejected to help me stating Barratta is at another office and the dentist Lana on site cannot assist...so basically saying to me that you need to wait for Dr. Barrata...while I suffer with a jagged tooth. This company operates like a ma and pop shop. The help who was assigned to my case, I found that Dr. Barratta was letting her shave the new crown. I asked the help are you dentist...cuz I was like why is she shaving my tooth...shouldn't a licensed professional be shaving my tooth....she was not a licensed profession...she was Barrata's help basically...when I accused her of not being a dentist...that's immediatly when Barrata stepped it. What I discovered is these dentists that work here 100% empower help/unlicesend folks to pick up some of the work dentists should ideally be doing. Immidiatly Barrata started working on my tooth after I accused the non licensed person of not being a dentist and why she was working on my crown saving and shaping....so messed up. Anyways, same day after Barrata put in a new crow FOR THE 2nd time, he cannot get it right the first time apparantly...same evening a 3rd time my crown fell out while eating rice. I called next morning to get appointment...they were forcing me to wait another day to work with Dr. Barrata...and they kept saying they want to use the same adhesive...but here I am struggling with the back of my toungue cutting up against a shaved tooth since there is no crown....they make me suffer until Barrata gets back to the Richmond location from the Rosenburg location...they asked me to go to the Rosenberg location...but the office manager asked me...I said I cannot, I work from home and they seem to not understand that I have work...going back for fallen crown repeatedly is unaccepted...3 times worked on my by Barrata..I had to go back...they do care I'm sufferring..would not let me see the other dentist on site named Lana. Anyways, I am never going back to this location.....they are kind of getto...and will be advising folks to stay clear of this dental organization going forth. Barrata doesn't know how to keep a crown glued on past 11 months in my experience. Buyer be aware is all.

I probably wouldnt go back to this ortho. To start with, note that they have two office locations…read more Jones Rd and Sugarland. They alternate days between the two. So, if you have problems that cant wait, hopefully you'll have a problem on the day they are closer to you. (Note that they dont share records b/w the locations either so if you call the other office they wont know anything.) They dont use email. There are a lot of people moving through his office. Sometimes I get the feeling im a number rather a patient. I rarely see the Doc, its mostly his assistants doing the work and the assistants catching problems / making comments. The offices are nice, clean, the assistants are great and he did finance. Doc is a nice guy but I think he should spend more time with his patients. Finance was helpful, he didnt require it all up front like other locations tried with me.

Despite the treatment being left unfinished, I was charged for the fillings and expected to return for another appointment to have them completed. On top of that, she was rude and dismissive throughout the experience. I immediately switched dentists afterward. I would strongly recommend avoiding this dental office.

However, during my visit, one of the dental assistants taking my X-rays put what appeared to be a used bite block in my mouth. It had visible bite marks all over it. As soon as I noticed, I immediately jumped up and asked, "Why would you put that in my mouth when someone else has already used it?" Instead of taking the situation seriously, she laughed it off and said, "Oh, we can give you a new one." I was completely mortified. There should never be a situation where a used item is placed in a patient's mouth, and the response made the experience even worse. I haven't been back since that visit. Based on my experience, I would give zero stars if that were an option.
