a variety of baked goods on display

I like desserts and snacks, so whenever I come to iFresh (before the bakery closes) I'll usually grab some bakery items. I definitely still miss their buy 5 get 1 deal that they used to have before covid. Prices has gone up a good amount but that's expected. The breads are fresh and still tastes good and the staffs are usually very nice and pleasant. They got decent options to choose from (if you go early enough) but they didn't have any red bean buns the day I went, which made me sad.

(5/24/2022) needed some nosh for a road trip home and while doing mom's Chinese grocery run at iFresh picked up a few cakes and buns, extra fresh, pillowy, still warm, fresh out of the oven and individually wrapped.

Formosa Bakery is located inside the Asian grocery store on the corner of Colonial and Bumby. The bakery is small but the inventory is huge. A large assortment was wrapped in really strong clear plastic and placed in a self service display. Many of their baked goods were new to me and this made it difficult to choose. Everything looked very fresh and begged to be sampled. I settled on the corn and pineapple cake. It was delicious and I will visit again to try some more items. Their custom character cakes are the best that I have seen. The cake decorator is very skilled and deserves to be recognized.

This bakery is located inside the new Asian grocery store, Mia Supermarket. And lemme tell you, WHAT A PLACE! I absolutely love Asian bakeries as the bread buns many of them create become great snacks/meals for an on-the-go person such as myself, and for such a inexpensive price! The selection is vast in flavor profiles from the savory garlic hot dog bun, to the semi-sweet pineapple butter cream bun. All bread buns are $2.00 and under too so it surely is a fantastic deal. I had their cakes for the first time on Father's Day (the first time I found out about them existing to be exact!). If you don't know what a great Asian sponge cake taste like, LOOK NO FURTHER! Cakes start at $20 I believe and go up in terms of what flavors and items(fruits and such) you wish to add. The cake was light, a lot of the sweetness came from the fruits we put on the cake, and it was the perfect finish after eating a hefty Father's Day dinner! The ladies working there are very sweet so I encourage everyone to come try out their goodies!~ ^^

Some of their pastries- went at the end of the day, still good options!

Really awesome stuff. We got a custom birthday cake for our kiddo there too and it got rave reviews. Chinese-born spouse also approves.

Kylie responded IMMEDIATELY, quite literally within 10 minutes of my initial email. She called, and set up a tasting appointment with me. The day of the appointment (yesterday) she called ahead to let me know that the air in the building was acting funky but, she was looking forward to seeing me. The amazing personality that I spoke with over the phone was the same personality that I received in person...I LOVE an infectious spirit and she has just that! The cakes displayed are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and whats even better is that the taste was amazing as well. She/they had my sample box ready and while I was there I decided to purchase additional cupcakes as well. The cakes itself are very moist and flavorful, but not too sweet. My top favorite were the cookie dough and the amaretto raspberry. The raspberry filling has the perfect balance of sweetness, but a slight tart (like a hint of acidity). My boys loved the mudslide as it is a chocolate lovers DREAM and the French toast. My plan was to try 3 different businesses however the Divas have given me exactly what I was looking for. I will add additional pictures later once I finally receive my Harry Potter cake next month.!

The cake baking equipment was in plain sight. We weren't in the market for any cakes that day. However, we found the display of cupcakes irresistible and bought two to take home for dessert later. We had a plain cake and red velvet cupcakes. Both were delicious. We greatly enjoyed the cupcakes.

Our first few experiences were custom order cakes, which were around the initial COVID-19 outbreak. Sandra made sure the orders were still completed and took every precaution possible to ensure things would work out for our birthdays. We would then visit The Naked Cupcake at other locations they appeared until they finally opened their own physical store in Lake Nona, which we visit monthly! Aside from the obvious deliciousness of these cupcakes, they have amazing rewards and deals that make you always want to support. There are BOGO opportunities, discounts, celebrations and more. Each week. There's also a monthly rotation of special cupcakes, that are always phenomenal in flavor. You even have chances to contribute flavor concepts if you follow on Instagram. They truly go out of the way to maintain a relationship with the customers, and to ensure there is value to long-term support. One more thing that I feel is unique and speaks to the ambiance of the shop - they feature local creators and products from small businesses. When you visit in-store, you'll often see something new in the display areas. We LOVE you, Naked Cupcake!
