We switched to virtual visits during the pandemic and I am amazed by what she is able to assess over the camera. Plus, it is a great opportunity to get feedback on posture and movement "in real life" like bending over the baby crib or carrying baby. What a difference it has made! The other thing that I really appreciate is she is so understanding of motherhood and life and there is no judgement when I can't do my exercises between sessions. It is so nice to feel supported.

I think sending me to this location was one of THE BEST things the VA could've done!! Hands down the best and most relaxing experience I've ever had with a massage therapist. Mr. Conner Overstreet went ABOVE & BEYOND!! He was very professional, patient...hit trigger points and massaged muscles I never knew I had..lol. Usually for me massages are very painful in certain areas....not this time! Mr. Conner used a combination techniques that made it well worth the trip! He also worked my neck and head area to assist with my chronic migraines. I SWEAR Mr. Overstreet has hands and massage techniques from Heaven!! I HIGHLY recommend checking Mr. Overstreet out if your wanting a worthwhile massage. I've booked up the next few Saturdays with him in hopes of being able to LIVE & socialize again! My neck was in absolute shambles, I could barely turn my head at all to the right and I left feeling almost all better! He even gave me follow up exercises to do to continue to help. Throughout the massage, I could literally feel him breaking apart knots I had and it wasn't even painful. I hadn't mentioned that my hip was feeling tight and he found it anyway and worked it out. I barely felt sore the days after. I am very COVID cautious and I felt totally clean and safe as well as calm and zen. They give you the option to ask for the masseuse to use gloves, which I thought was considerate. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience.

On or about October 30th, she walked in on her cell phone and said, "Oh good God," which was unprofessional and offensive. My mom has swallowing issues from her stroke, yet Joann tried to give her multiple pills at once and moved the cup toward her too fast. When I told her to stop, she snapped, "I've been a nurse over 20 years and I know what I'm doing," and then pushed my hand away as I tried to protect my mom. No nurse should ever push or touch a family member--completely unacceptable behavior. Overall, Sheltering Arms Rehab Center is very good, and the therapy team is excellent. Jonathan was outstanding with my mom's care. I truly hope Joann has been reprimanded and disciplined appropriately so this never happens to another family. Giving a one star only because of the incident with Joann.

My PTs and OT were amazing, patient, kind, supportive. sympathetic and driven! I appreciate their dedication and encouragement. They "worked me hard" and I'm doing very well because of them and all of the good care I received at Sheltering Arms. The gym equipment is state of the art.
