However, The Sentimentalist called me on October 8th to let me know it arrived at their shop! I was so excited! Since I was out of town, I booked an appointment for October 15th, requesting to be paired with Lauren again if possible. I parked and headed inside for my 12PM appointment. The associate at the counter got me checked in, asked if I wanted anything to drink, and seated me in my room. Soon, I was met by a smiling and sweet Lauren! She had arranged her schedule to make sure she could be there with me today. She guided me to where my gown was hanging and prepped for me, and stood right outside the curtain in case I needed assistance. When I came out and looked in the mirror, I was so pleased. I had brought my veil and shoes with me for the full effect, and Lauren had even kindly boxed my veil up for me and packed it in a nice tote bag, since I had brought it in all wound up inside the shipping bag it had come in in. It's the little things that really mean so much. Lauren, as well as the other stylists who peered around the corner to see me in my dress and offer kind words, made me feel so beautiful. I am so grateful for all of their help throughout the process of getting me my perfect wedding dress! I am absolutely thrilled with it and can't wait to wear it on the big day! I can't thank Lauren and the team at The Sentimentalist enough! They are truly the best!

I would say overall I was pretty underwhelmed with the customer service I got, which is really important, especially when you're spending as much as you are on a dress. I'm also basing this on the experience I had at other salons to be fair. At no point did I get a phone call prior to my appointment to get to know me better or to try to make sure the time that I spent at the salon is maximized. Also, they wouldn't allow us to take any pictures of our dresses and insisted that they're the only ones that could. They said they would send us the pictures after. I didn't want to rush to make a decision on the spot and wanted to see how I felt after the fact. Even a few days have passed, and I have yet to receive my pictures from the salon. I even called and asked for them. Ironically, they had the dress I wanted, but because they took so long, I found somewhere else I'd be willing to give it to me and actually had great customer service.

Alterations by Amy!!!…read more I've been a client of Pat and her team for nearly twenty years! When my little niece would visit from Virginia, she would insist we go see Pat! She had her very first formal gown altered by Pat at just five years old--and Pat continued to tailor her dresses all the way through her final prom. Fast forward to 2025, my sweet niece was getting married, and this time it was Auntie who needed a gown altered! I knew the day had come for Pat to retire...and I was beyond thrilled when I learned Amy had taken over the business. This review is for Alterations by Amy! Amy is the best - she learned from the best & I am so happy to spend the next 25+ years as her client...when my niece has children...we will bring them to Amy! Amy! Amy! Amy!!! What can't you do!?!?! She totally transformed my very formal evening gown into the most stunning one-shoulder gown, perfect for my niece's outdoor summer wedding. She removed the long train, converted the buttoned halter neckline into an elegant one-shoulder design, and even added cups for shape and support - no separate bra needed! (Ladies!!! IYKYK!) The fit and finish were flawless, and the transformation was beyond my expectations. What amazed me most was that Amy made all these alterations the day before I was scheduled to leave for the wedding. She worked quickly and professionally, completing everything while I waited--and she even hemmed my husband's linen pants at the very last minute! The pricing was so reasonable, especially considering the level of craftsmanship, speed, and care she put into every detail. If you ever need alterations...big or small...Amy is the one to trust. She's a true lifesaver, a perfectionist, and an absolute joy to work with. Highly, highly recommend!

I spoke with Pat about my ideas for alterations and she was very helpful with her recommendations. I then spent some time looking at their consigned items. Though I did not end up getting any alterations here, I am certain that Pat would have done a fabulous job!! 10/10 would recommend going here. It was about an hour and a half drive for me but SO worth it and I could not be happier with the dress I picked out. I'll post photos of the dress once we get pictures taken. Thank you so much for your help ladies!! Xoxo

To be clear, the medical emergency was NEVER the issue. Emergencies happen. The issue was how the situation was handled afterward. We would have been fine with a same-day appointment and would have waited for another stylist to arrive, however we were simply offered Tuesday, as though we could easily rearrange everyone's schedules and make another six-hour round trip. I was also required to put a card on file and could be charged if I canceled, yet when the boutique canceled, there seemed to be little consideration for our time or travel. My phone interaction with Sydney felt dismissive, condescending, and passive-aggressive rather than apologetic or helpful. For a boutique marketed as a luxury experience, I expected professionalism, empathy, and communication. Based on my experience, I received the exact opposite and cannot recommend Magnolia Laine.

Atlanta brides - do yourself a favor and go to Kelly's!!!! As it came time for me to shop for my own dress, Kelly's was at the top of my list.  I ended up working directly with Kelly after my originally assigned stylist was unable to make it in due to surprise snowy weather. Kelly is amazing - she asked questions to get a sense of what styles I liked, how I wanted to feel in my dress, and overall vision for my whole day. She pulled me some beautiful options I would have never chosen for myself, and gave me such individualized care and attention through 9 dresses. She also talked me through alteration possibilities for each of the dresses, and answered any questions me, my sister, mom, and mother-in-law had.  Kelly's is a must - knowledgeable and kind staff, wide range of dress styles and price points, boutique experience, incredible in-house alterations, and a variety of accessories. I cannot recommend this store enough - truly a warm and thoughtful experience. And bonus points for being an independent woman-owned business! Thank you, Kelly and Kelly's!!
