The store is staged as a two-level parlor aka boutique with mini departments of all things fur & then some. Although I'm not wearing my fur coats anymore (I did treat myself to a Camouflage & Fox beanie for my hopeful trip to NYC), York is definitely the place to shop all things jackets, coats, hats, scarves, gloves & more. Of course, in addition to offering cold storage, the cleaning & minor repairs keep them busy year-round. Alexander has such an inviting spirit that he gives you all sorts of items to try on. I contacted them, but they have not returned my call and I have done so again to the young man who worked there, but either he changed his number or has blocked me. Essentially, I feel that they have stolen my coat because they are intentionally avoiding a discussion about either returning the full length fur that's worth several thousand dollars to me or paying me for it. To say that I am beyond disappointed at the service I received is a complete understatement. When I…read moredropped my 2 furs off at Helen Frushtick in October 27, 2022. When I dropped my furs off I was excited by the conversation with gentlemen who runs the shop. He explained to me the difference between the 2 firs I had. He explained that one for just needed to de deglazed and he would repair the hole and have my name monogrammed into the coat. He informed me that would take about a week and the price would be $50. My other coat needed to be completely rebuilt and would take a while and the cost was $450. I was fine with that because I did not need both coats right away. On December 6th (more than a week) I called with regards to the picking up my coat. The man I spoke with said he would call me back. On December 7th I called and left a message about picking the coat up and I never received a call. On Friday December 8th I finally just came up to the location to pick it up. He asked me to come back in an hour so he could pull it. I explained I needed the coat today. I came back and he said it wasn't ready they would have it delivered to the house by 5. I trusted his word. When 5 came around and my husband said it wasn't delivered. I called again and was once again told I would get a call back. At 5:45pm I called again and finally said I would just come get the coat. I picked one of furs up and at first glance it looked fine. Once I got home I looked inside and saw that the monogram was not done. I called on Saturday December and left a message about the monogram not being done and requested a return call. I never got a call. At this point I do not trust this business with my belongings. I go to retrieve my coat on December 20th (10 days after I left the message) and the same man I originally spoke with hot very belligerent with me. He began telling me I needed to come back in an hour and how he was stopping his work to get it. I said that my husband no longer wanted the coat to stay here and he got even more rude. To the point where he's yelling and acknowledged the fact that he was being rude. I proceed to walk off and state that I will just come back with my husband because I was not going to be disrespected by a man. He proceeds to tell what is my husband going to do. Not only did this man get paid ahead of time and did not complete what he was paid for, he did not even do it in the time he allowed. His statement that a celebrity drops their coats off at that shop as of its a reason for me as a customer to be disrespected. I would never my belongs to this place.

I stored my fur last Spring here. But I felt so uncomfortable for two reasons. One, it is so dusty…read morein there, it was hard to believe that my coat would be in decent condition when I picked it up (I'll admit, it was). Two, the owner was so prickly and unkind when I met him. He told me that I was lucky he was there because he takes appointments only because of covid (this was Spring 2024) and his overall demeanor was unpleasant and unwelcoming. He sneered at me the entire time (this includes both drop off and pick up). So even though my fur was fine, in the end, I will not patronize that establishment again unless it goes through a major rehaul.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy. They do not take the time to do a proper job. I normally take my deer elsewhere but was on this side of town and could not get it back to my usual processor. Big mistake on my part. Zero stars from me. Please do not ruin your deer by letting them process it. Take an extra 5, 10 or even 50 miles farther to have a proper job done. I have yet to open a package of meat I am happy with, they are all terribly done. Steaks, roasts or even the ground was terrible. I will never go back.

I know we were told problems such as this were fixable but when I didn't see them until the ceremony I'm not sure how fixable that issue really was. Maybe if measurements were taken correctly it would not have been an issue? Great customer service besides that-- I felt as if they really took the time to listen to what we wanted and guide us through choosing our rentals.
