Everything went well! Amazing food from such a humble and honestly unexpected source. The wine was superb! The service was friendly and almost like one was at a friends or family's house. The ambience was relaxed, and comfortable. Great hang out spot! Can't wait to go back.

Came to Orlando to spend a couple days with my son and his fiancé. While doing some research on local events, I saw a mention of an event called Saturday Sips where this establishment offers some complimentary wine and cheese tasting on Saturday between 1-3. After reviewing the menu we decided that we were going to allocate our lunch time to checking out the place. We are so glad we did. From the moment you walk in you get greeted warmly by one of the owners Chris. His warm and friendly demeanor instantly lets you know you are going to receive superb service. The venue is the right size to hold a nice selection of different wines while still having a cozy relaxing environment. We decided to go with a small Charcuterie board that had 4 different cheeses as well as a couple different meats as well as some fruits nuts crackers etc. and a couple different sandwiches. To pair, Chris helped us with our wine selection. I'm a huge Pinot Noir fan and originally thought I was going to go with a Pinot Noir but my mood was to have something lighter and a bit sweeter. Chris let me sample a nice Riesling and was sold right away on having a glass. My son asked Chris to just bring out a glass of something that Chris enjoys and he brought out a lovely Red that very good. Chris also brought out a few complimentary different wines to taste as well as a few cheeses. Everything was delicious. If you are looking for a spot to spend some time relaxing while enjoying a nice glass or bottle of wine, you should definitely visit this spot. If you are looking to have a great culinary and wine pairing experience you should visit this spot. If you have a couple of hours and are looking for something different to do that involves wine and cheese you should visit this spot. You should just visit this spot! You won't regret it. Cheers to Formaggio and Friends

Ok ya'll...so let me tell you what I love about this place... literally EVERYTHING. So we recently stopped by for a late night cap before we headed home for the evening ...and we wanted to go to a place that was dog friendly since we had the pup with us. We decided to stop by Formaggio & Friends because they allowed dogs on the patio and this place has been on our radar for a while now. Located in a strip plaza on Orange Ave this spot can be located right next to Gatlin Hall Brewing. The plaza had a huge parking lot so it made it very easy to find parking compared to the other restaurants around the area. Upon walking in the restaurant/ wine shop... it felt very quaint and homey like I was actually walking into someone's home. The decor and furniture was very colorful and quirky. We were greeted almost immediately by the owner. He was very kind and welcoming... seating us right away in the patio and taking the time to tell us about how this business came about. He gave us very truthful and honest recommendations of different wines and bites to eat... which we truly appreciated. For the wines, there were options that fit everyone's flavor profile and price point. We opted for two bottles of dry reds which were both very good. For food we opted for a cheese board, crab cakes, anchovy sandwich and pesto pasta w/ shrimp. Every single item was made to order and they really took their time to meticulously prepare these dishes. The star dish of the night for me definitely had to be the crab cake which was jammed packed with crab and was oh so delicious. The portions are smaller but I think that it was a perfect size to pair with the wine ...as we really were not looking for a huge meal. Overall, I truly enjoyed Formaggio & Friends. I really think that this place has so much character and the owners are so lovely. I am definitely going to come back again in the near future to try the other wines they have to offer....maybe even stopping by on the weekend to do a wine tasting. Definitely come check this place out the next time you are in the SODO area... and are in need of a quick cheese and wine fix!

Stopped by only to get a gift card for a friend but the owners were so nice and the ambiance looked so cozy and relaxing. Will definitely be back to have a glass of wine and hang out.

We have been to Formaggio and Friends 3 different times now and it has been superb every visit. The owners are fantastic people with tons of knowledge on both their wine options and cheese varieties, and they make one heck of a charcuterie board designed specifically for your individual tastes! On our second and third visit, the owners even remembered the types of wine we preferred and offered great advice on new options to try. The chairs and couches are very comfortable and provide a casual and relaxing atmosphere not found anywhere else. As a local, Formaggio and Friends is a terrific addition to our area and we couldn't be happier to continue to support small, local businesses like this!

Was asked to join friends here for dinner. I had no idea they served food. I had Coq au vin and escargot. Food was awesome!! It was Friday night and the place was packed. The owner was the only server and kept up considering the crowd. This would be a great date place. The owner, Chris is well versed in wines and it was fun pairing different wines with each course. I will be back again. This place is a hidden gem.

Tried out the new cheese and wine place in the neighborhood and I was not disappointed! The atmosphere was great with multiple seating areas to hang out with friends. The wine options were plentiful and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into what they have to offer. We tried the charcuterie board and were not disappointed! The owners are the only two employees and they were very attentive and kind! This is definitely the new place to hang out and spend time with friends! We will be going back for sure!

Kelly's Mexican chocolate ice cream, beer from large selection and a port wine! The perfect after dinner dessert!

We love this hidden gem! The owners are amazing and so knowledgeable. They will let you try different wines and the food options are perfect! Can't say enough great things about this wine spot! They also have no corkage fee if you buy a bottle there, so there are a ton of options!

We were meeting a friend next door at the brewery so I decided to get a charcuterie board which was outstanding.

You can tell the owners put love into every detail including picking their wines locally and internationally. You can stop by any day of the week, load money on a card and taste 16 different wines from a self serving tap. My personal favorites were Rioja, Sangue Di Giuda and the Chardonnay. The Rioja is similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, but it also has a fruity character. If you love Cabernet but are also looking for the dominant cherry flavor, this is the perfect wine for you. The Sangue Di Giuda, which means "Blood of Judas", is more of a deep, slightly sparkling and delectably sweet red wine. Chardonnay is my go to when I want a nice glass of wine after work. Although it typically has fruit flavors, it's a dry white wine. It pairs perfectly with seafood or baked chicken. We purchased a bottle of Lumbrusco and we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere and great conversation with the owner. They were right, they made us feel at home. We brought our wine glasses out back, sat on Adirondack chairs, & watched the sunset. It could either be romantic or a great party spot. The site also had multiple event spaces, including a speakeasy! You open a mirror & a beautifully decorated large room with sunlight pouring in was there. They had events such a karaoke there regularly. The main wine bar is eco conscious. Many wines were on tap to save on glass bottles. Their bottled wine also consciously use less glass, but still have enough to preserve the flavors of the wines. I personally loved the violet delight red blend. It has a grape in it that was previously thought to be extinct! The winery is picky about how their grapes are sourced as well to fit into their eco views. They had another red based off a doggo, but I forgot the name. It was my second favorite. I highly recommend starting with a flight. The staff is very confidently knowledgeable & an overall blast to be around. They also have charcuterie boards & PeterBrooke chocolates available for purchase. The owner stopped by to say a friendly hi. It felt like anyone who entered instantly became a friend. Their wines will still be sold in other locations, & the processing location is still there.

The bar manager was so bubbly and fun. She gave us our wine and kicked us out saying we had to go to the back yard before the sun set, so we ran around to the back. The back is a big space with market lighting overlooking the lake. There are wine barrels and chairs around where you can sit and watch the sunset and listen to music. We had a great time watching the sunset and sipping a good Pinot. I honestly wish I would have found Quantum Leap sooner. I'm very sad it's going away. God speed, QL!
