Watermelon salad with chicken
Irina G.

Fork 'n Pint offers a tantalizing combination of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a lakeside view that could calm the most stressed-out soul. Well, that's the idea, anyway. We arrived with high hopes of soaking in the serene lakeside vista while enjoying a leisurely meal. However, our visit took a quirky turn when the manager informed us that one of the waitresses had to leave unexpectedly. To make things easier for the lone server left, we were all seated on one side of the patio. This might have been fine, except for one small detail: our view of the lake was expertly blocked. We could have been staring at a postcard for all we knew. Despite begging to sit on the side with the view, the manager insisted on our lake-less location. Ironically, she started seating other customers, who arrived after us, on the very side we were denied. The food was good, and the drinks were exactly what we needed to keep our spirits high. The poor waitress, bless her, hustled like a caffeinated squirrel, juggling more tables than a circus performer. I'll definitely be back, but next time, I'm staking my claim to a lakeside seat. If I wanted to look at walls, I'd stay home!

Very good food, fast service and extremely nice server! The tunage is on point, really good selection. Not to busy when we went (3-4:00) so it was not too loud. The portions were very big and filling so I recommend not getting too much. Other than that very good

This was our first time at fork and pint and we were pleasantly surprised! We really loved the atmosphere! It's huge inside and there are plenty of televisions making this a great spot to watch a sporting event. We were here for a fundraiser. There is a large private room that we were able to use. We ate buffet style and everything was delicious! Definitely recommend the fried chicken. We had a waitress, bur mostly got our beers from the bar. They had a great beer selection to choose from. I am sure we will back to watch a game!

Lake side bar with a big menu for both food and drink. On the food side that can be good and bad. Most of the food ordered by our table of 6 was average at best. My steak was tougher than than I have had recently. The brussel sprouts were good but had a little kick to them. Service was spotted but the place was crowded for this pandemic time so they could be short handed. I will tell you that once the live music starts, your table conversation will end. If you enjoy this type of place, you should try. I will only be back if a Meetup group comes back.

Peanut Butter Burger and Root Salad

If you are looking for gourmet food..keep looking. If you are looking for a clean, fun, local bar with good food...this is the place. Our waitress was super attentive, made great recommendations and made our experience so much more enjoyable. My husband decided to try the peanut butter burger, it was not on the menu but I am glad we trusted our waitress and gave it a try. Very surprising combination of flavors, topped with crispy brussel sprouts. Super yummy and crispy fries! I ordered the root salad and it was also delicious. Very fresh ingredients, great goat cheese and generous helping of shrimp. I particularly enjoyed the homemade ranch dressing ( with my husband's fries). Would order again without garbonzo beans. Great night out.

Everyone loves a great patio & music .. this week I experienced it twice here! I decided to try the root salad.. it was absolutely delicious. Very generous amounts of delicious root vegetables. Parsnips love them!! A beautiful bibb lettuce one day/ the nxt time mixed greens. It was so (good) with the generous amounts of veggies & goat cheese.. it didn't even need salad dressing. Rather have my calories in a cocktail! Twice I experienced the walleye it's one of the (best) I've ever had!!! Generous pieces of this excellent prepared fish! Served with/Creamy coleslaw! A fav now! The waitress was kind & attentive! Saturday eve they had a great band playing!

Chocolate Flourless Torte

This is a 2.5 star rather then a strict 2 star review. I came here for dinner at the end of April with a large group. It was. Meet-up group and we were sitting partly inside and partly outside. Our service was okay not great but not bad. I ate inside and we were at a table that was not designed for the 6 people that were sitting there. I got a local Cider (I can't actually remember what one but it was decent). I also had water and towards the end of the meal, it was hard to keep the water full because our waitress seemed to be over worked. I don't think she even checked that I needed another Cider. I started with Deviled Eggs because I hadn't eaten lunch. They were decent but it was definitely unique to eat deviled eggs off of pickle chips. There was nothing special about the deviled eggs. The bacon that was on top could've been more crispy. I went with the Sausage Plate and 2 sides. The sausage had some more burnt parts then I was expecting. The smashed potatoes could have had some additional seasoning. They were very bland. The Brussel sprouts had more of a burned and Balsamic vinegar flavor then anything else. It was hard to taste anything else. For dessert, I went with the flourless chocolate torte. It was quite good. The downgrade in stars have to do with the fact that even with picking all items as gluten free, I managed to get glutened. Based on the timing of my reaction, I would say it was dessert. Which is quite sad, because the dessert was stated that it was flourless. If I were to come back, I would not order anything that I ordered beyond the Cider. The Cider was the one redeeming thing.

We always have such great food and service here. Our burgers were cooked to perfection! And very generous portions.. I left stuffed and even took some home. Cute atmosphere with a hometown feel.

The parking situation is a little weird, the lot is basically to the left of the restaurant, and if you try to park in the plaza to the right of it, there are signs up saying they will tow you. My friend and I started out with the baked feta, which was delicious. I don't really like olives so I asked for those on the side. It came with tomatoes on top and naan bread for dipping. For our entrees, I got the chicken limone - chicken piccata is one of my favorite dishes and this is very similar. It's $29 which I thought was a bit expensive but you do get a gigantic portion, I brought half of it home. My friend got what she thought was a salad but it was more of like a Mediterranean small chicken dish, and she got a side of the beef tallow fries, which we both thought were expensive at $7, but it was very tasty and she said it was worth it. Everything on the dessert menu looked great but we ended up splitting the campfire funnel fries, and it came out in the shape of a campfire! Very nice presentation. Waitservice was a bit slow, we had a separate person coming to refill our water and overall that was consistent until the end though. That being said, the food and the atmosphere was great so I would return another time.

Aside from the main entree's they also offer a selection of Tapas and salad selections For my first meal here I got their custom blend cheese burger that had caramelized onions, house made pickles, lettuce, tomato and a house sauce with fries. The burger was very tasty cooked to perfection with a medium doneness (no over cooking here unless you ask for it) where the sauce and pickles gave it a unique flavor profile that I liked. Fries were crunchy and nicely done as well. For my drink I ordered a house Margarita from their tequila inspired craft cocktail menu. The Margarita was very smooth and quite tasty and very reasonably priced at $10. MY only gripe with the drink is it was made with Reposadao tequila where my personal tastes trend towards a brighter Margarita and Blanco tequila. Having said that I could drink this Margarita all day long! Relative to staff and facility, the restaurant is definately on the rustic side where it could probably use an update on the ceramic floors and tables/chairs. It's not bad but it would add greater appeal if they invested a little more money on the interior in my opinion. Staff was super friendly and I enjoyed my conversation with my waitress who also served as the bartender. Overall the uniqueness of this menu and how good the taco menu looked will definately bring me back in the near future as I need to give those guys a try as well. The…read moremenu for this restaurant falls along the lines of an expanded bar/Bistro menu with a heavy emphasis on sandwiches, wraps and burgers. Having heard good things about their Burgers I opted to go with their Classic Cheeseburger and fries for $15 and two of their house margarita's which were the drink of the day on Tuesdays for $5 apiece. Realtive to the burger, it was quite large at 1/2 lb and definately a two hander. It was well made, quite juicy, with fresh veggies and very very tasty. The fries were well made as well with a nice crunchy texture and quite tasty in their own right. Lastly my two Margarita's very well made and oh so good where I had only planned on getting one but opted for two after the first sip. NICE! At $5 a piece this was an absolute steal! Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is visually very appealing with vibrant Irish accents, neon sign's everywhere and TV's scattered to allow you to watch the big game of the day while enjoying your meal. The decor defiantely adds a lot to the dining experience. Staff was very friendly with great follow up throughout. Overall this is a great bar/restaurant whose reputation is well deserved. Waze was instrumental in finding this hidden gem as it's tucked behind a fairly blah stretch of Orchard Lake Road. Turn down what is basically a residential street and Sylvan Table appears like a rustic Phoenix! TS saw my eyes light up as I soaked it all in. The owners have moved an antique Maine barn to Sylvan Lake Michigan and created a beautiful (if a bit barren and cold in December) oasis. The inside is as inviting as the outside with a beautiful space buzzing with activity on a cold December night. A Roaring fireplace and beautiful Christmas decor set the stage for a wonderful evening. We were seated upstairs at a nice corner table and the super friendly server was there in a flash to take our drink order. I had my usual, Grey Goose Martini on the rocks with bco's, TS opted for a house Pinot Grigio. Both hit the spot taking the chill off and were delicious. Our server went over some specials, and the menu had a varied selection of great sounding entrees. We started with a charcuterie board with their own house made crackers, cheeses and meats including a decadent pate'. And as an added bonus we were brought a few roasted brussel sprouts with cranberry chutney, fantastic! For our main course TS opted for the pork chop with root vegetables and I had the roasted chicken with the same sides. Both were delicious and juicy being cooked over a wood fire! Now Sylvan Table is a farm to table restaurant which could be daunting on a long cold Michigan winter. And part of the farm must be on their 5 acres. I bet those root vegetables were picked and stored on site for use all winter just like an old timey farm. Ee ate like we hadca tip on a famine and washed it down with a big bold red. But there was still room for more. For dessert we split a slice of Buche Noel and some coffee. The dessert was a work of art. As we made our way out we realized we were the last ones there. So after a picture in front of the Christmas tree we were gone. All in a magical experience with food, service and ambiance that can't be beat. And the company, well that goes without saying! So try out ST before everyone finds out about it! Sylvan by name..sylvan by nature. Sylvan Table...Go!
