I am rehabbing a goose to sell and have been eating frozen pizza.. well, too much. After walking in the Polly Ann Trail, I called Ignite and placed a Caesar salad order to go. Wow! First time visiting Ignite Tavern and I went because they were hosting a trivia night. Food was excellent and when I asked our waiter, Dave, what he'd recommend he gave me plenty of options to choose from. Then when I asked about the soup he provided me a sample taste and it was so good I ordered a bowl. We were there for about 2 hours and Dave kept coming by to check on us and top off our waters. I will definitely be back again for both trivia and the good food and service. read more

So we have drove by this place a lot, seems to be busy but is it good? So we asked around and one of coworkers just raced about the food. Well, we drove by it a lot more, almost for two years we stalled on going in. Why, due to the corner intersection just didn't seem user friendly. Well, we made it in. The host didn't do much to impress me and initially wanted us to sit right next to the bathrooms, the place was half empty, so I spoke up and got a better seat for us both. Our waitress, Katia J was super prompt, courteous and upon hearing it was our first time, was superlative in helping us decide starting with the acorn squash that was phenomenal and also the meat dips in pasta, delicious. Prices were very fair, place was very clean and friendly. A definite trip in the near future is in store for us. read more

Tried three different items and the poor quality was obvious. The mussels were probably the best of the three, and I'm not even that big of a fan of them. Some of the beef tips were pasty, think liver texture and the traditional chicken wings were obviously old and freezer burnt. The service was fine and friendly. But due to the quality of the food (and the pricing was similar to better establishments) we won't be returning. read more

Easy ordering & paying by phone. Employees were wearing face masks and gloves when they brought the food to the car. 100000% would recommend the Philly cheesesteak! The downfall of it being so good is now I'm scared to try anything else on the menu, in fear it'll disappoint. Stretchy cheese really sealed the deal for me. Fries would good. The Fish and chips was delicious as was the lake pearch. The sweet potato tots are fantastic. The calamari went so fast I forgot to take a picture and the fried pickles were delicious as well. Went on a chill Tuesday night. Pretty empty and service was nice and quick. Got the Saganaki which was good and the chicken fajita wrap and chicken Caesar wrap. Both were delicious. This was our first visit to Ignite. We enjoyed the ambiance, a sports bar with a massive amount of TVs and cool lighting to boot. The server was very attentive, but didn't tell me until after I ordered chips and salsa that apps were 1/2 off during happy hour. I had the Hangover burger with waffle fries for dinner. I ordered it medium, it came medium rare. Otherwise, the burger was fairly tasty, but could've used some spices... there were bland bites. My husband ordered the Jack Daniel's burger. He ordered it cooked medium and it came medium well to well. The toppings overwhelmed the burger, but the overall taste was OK. The waffle fries were good. We will give it another try in a few months when they've worked out the kinks. read more

I'll start with the pros because it's a short list: Chicken wings and fries were good Burger had good flavor Staff was friendly The avocado I ordered on the side was very fresh Cons: My dad ordered decaf coffee, she brought regular, I'm glad I double checked with our waitress before he drank it. We ordered four waters, she brought three. When we brought it to her attention that we needed another water our waitress laughed and said we can blame it on her hang over. Very unprofessional. My brother ordered his burger medium, it came well done. He ordered a side of Mayo. She brought ranch. When he told her it was ranch and asked for Mayo she never brought it. The tavern nachos were nothing special. I can make better nachos at home. The knife cuts on the peppers were extremely inconsistent. There are so many restaurants in the area, I think I'll visit one that doesn't have such forgetful, hungover waitstaff. read more

Ignite is our go to neighborhood bar. Is it the most delicious food on the planet? No, but what do you expect? The food is always solid and beer is cold. Everything we've had, from the wings, burgers to the spaghetti has been good and would order everything again. Servers are always friendly- we've never had bad service here. The only complaint is the prices for what it is. For the two of us for dinner it's hard to walk out without paying $60+, which I know is unfortunately common these days. read more

Atmosphere is good. Food is only ok (frozen Gordon's burger and half quesadilla had no meat) but overpriced. Watch your bill. I was just overcharged $20. Go to Hamlin or JB. Better food, better drinks and they don't try to hit you with a $20 overcharge and blame it in a credit card fee. read more

I debated sending this in but decided that it might prove to be helpful for some folks. Last week on Wednesday afternoon, Michigan recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Recognizing the need to protect ourselves while still supporting local business, we decided that the best of both worlds would be a take out order for dinner. Unfortunately our efforts were rewarded with significant risk of infection. It is very clear to me that this restaurant is NOT taking public health guidance seriously. Not only was this restaurant densely populated with unmasked, and scarcely separated drinkers and diners, there was no effort to minimize exposure to protect those patrons attempting to safely support the restaurant through the purchase of carry out. Why would they tell someone who is there just for a carry out that they had to go through the restaurant to the packed bar to request their pickup and pay? This is a terrible practice, especially given the location of the hostess station at the front door which is exactly where we assumed they would have the site of our transaction. Until they offer more respect for the health of their guests, Ignite will not have us as customers. No matter how good the food is, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We will not be back. read more

This place does a nice job. We ordered "bar" food and it was good. The chicken sandwich was a NICE size piece of chicken. The waiter was really friendly and knowledgeable. The service was quick, which is hard to come by these days! They have a large menu and a large specials menu. I would definitely return when in the area. read more

I ordered a dirty martini and the Ignite Combo appetizer for the table. The server was extremely friendly. We received our entrees before the appetizer. Our server apologized and said she would take it off the bill that the kitchen just forgot to make it. My parents ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Michigan Cherry Salad and I had the Lemon Chicken Piccata. The entrees were delicious and we never had to wait for refills. Food was nothing special. Pricey and small serving sizes. Went opening weekend and gave them another chance after months of being opened. The owner sits at a table and complains about his staff but doesn't help. Both times we went our orders were wrong and took over 45 minutes to arrive. No offer to even correct the order, only a free drink to make it right. Only thing it has going for it is the location for those on the outskirts of Lake Orion. read more

Very tasty ribs at a reasonable price. We did carry out. The fries were soggy and cold but it's 15 minutes home before we could eat so I'm not sure that's a fair knock on them. Went to Ignite this past weekend on a Sunday evening, it was pretty busy but we got seated right away. It was just two of us sitting right in the middle of the restaurant no one came to greet us or ask if we wanted a drink. We waited about 10 minutes and finally my husband went to the front and asked if they could send our server over, sure they said. She/He never came, staff looked at us like, that's not my table. After another few minutes we got up and left. Don't think we will return for awhile, we really like to patronize Lake Orion businesses but very disappointed in this one. read more

Very good food and polite, attentive owner and waitress . We enjoyed the pulled pork entree and Baked Pasta. Baked Pasta with the spicy Italian sausage had some good kick. We have been going here since we moved to Clarkston and really like it. I read through these reviews and have never had an experience like that at ignite luckily. I hope more people rate them higher because they really do have great food and atmosphere. My only downfall is that they should charge separately for chicken on their pasta dishes for vegetarians so that we don't have to pay for the chicken! read more

Came in tonight for the wings special as we saw during the week and the owner pulled the specials menu for today last night. Not very good business to advertise something that we made the trip for and not honor it. Asked our waitress about it and she said "not today, that's why they aren't on the tables." Super snotty-like duhh you're so stupid. Walked away with her finger in the air and shaking her head when we said we needed time to read the menu. We left and went to Oxford Tap instead, and their wings blow Ignite out of the water. Well worth the trip. We won't be back. read more

Open for pickup and delivery! I forgot how good the Ignite Chicken Sandwich is. It starts with a large piece of chicken on a jumbo size bun. I get it grilled and the chicken breast is thick and large enough it would be almost impossible to blatantly overcook the juicy center - that already makes it better than 90% of the bar chicken sandwiches I have had. It comes with strips of actual red meaty bacon and cheddar jack cheese. I go with the Cajun spice for another flavor boost, and I have them add a tomato slice because, well why not? I get it with the waffle fries that I also like. The roast beef special is also very good, that would have been my second choice if I wasn't craving the chicken sandwich. I have had the burgers and steak bites and can say they are good too. Looking forward to going back and eating one seated at the bar one day. But for now if you got the craving for a really big, and tasty, sandwich or burger this is how to get it. read more

While the food at Ignite is pretty good, the owner and kitchen staff treat their female minor staff like pieces of meat. My daughter recently had to quit do to comments from the cooks and them getting a little handsy. The owner is no help, only eggs it on. read more

Had a few friends really brag about this place, so we tried it..... not impressed....it's cool and hip and everyone smiles , but the drinks were lame and the bar is full of old wealthy farts that like to listen in on private conversations.....case in point, I was with my wife when this jack ass started ogling her and bragging how well he knew the owner!.... Came to Ignite for the first time for a carry-out. The young lady who delivered the dinners to my car was very friendly and wearing a mask (contrary to reviewers that said they weren't following Covid procedures). My son enjoyed his Black & Blue burger, and my pulled pork sandwich was very good. Portions were generous. However, my wife ordered the baked spaghetti dinner and none of us like it - the sauce had a very weird taste and the meatballs were disappointing also. Despite the the spaghetti, I'm sure we'll be going back to try some other meals. read more

I was at this restaurant yesterday and was disturbed by the lack of attention to the COVID protocols there. The wait staff did not always wear masks, especially the bartender. Only one waiter consistently wore his. Also, there were several patrons who were allowed to enter without any masks at all, and social distance was not maintained in the seating of patrons. I will not be returning to this restaurant, even though the food was good. read more
