I am so happy my friends and I stumbled upon Irish Tavern! The interior is very dimly lit and relaxing (there's even a countdown to St.Patrick's Day) and there is a large patio space where musicians perform live music! The presentation of the drinks is so cute and the drinks are high quality and taste amazing! I recommend the seasonal ones, especially the purple one! As for what to eat, I HIGHLY recommend trying a "Boxty" if you haven't had one before--they are Irish potato pancakes with fillings. I am super impressed by the food here! I ordered the corned beef boxty, it is like a corned beef sandwich but wrapped in a potatoe pancake instead of bread, and it is amazing and all sandwich fillings should come in potatoe pancakes. They do have a lot of options for the filling here too, like grilled chicken, steak mushroom cheese (my 2nd choice, maybe next time), even grilled vegetable or cod! I am glad I stayed, I was actually in the process of walking out at about 10 pm because, even though the sign says seat yourself, there was no one who acknowledged or approached me at my booth for a good 10 minutes. I finally found the waiter seating a table at the outdoor patio, and I actually went up to him (with an apology for interrupting lol) and asked if he could come find me when he was done because I had been here a while! As my waiter, he was super nice and accomodating, so I don't know why he was not monitoring tables but, that is what I took away a star for. It is a dim sports bar but I like that there are 2 areas, there was live music in the bar area, and a separate quieter area on the other side. Now that the performance is over, the sound for the football game is in the bar area but there is no sound on the giant tv's in this area, which I totally appreciate! Over all I would stop by again if I'm in the area, but ignore the Seat Yourself sign and wander around until you find a server! Love the IT concept! Finally got to try a Brumch, and it did not disappoint! Great value too with where most breakfast spots are price wise these days. Breakfast boxty, and upgraded grand slam slapped! Daughter loved the little burgers. I ordered the burger and the chicken sandwich after fasting for 50 hours and this meal hit the spot I'm talking. It was delicious. I want to eat it over and over again. I'll be back for sure. I don't know if if I ordered the same thing the chicken was all right, but man go cheese, so good for the body and the triple cheeseburger wasn't greasy had three different types of cheese but after I ate it, I second-guess whether it actually had three patties on it was really good. My friend and I came here at her suggestion for my birthday lunch on a very busy warm Father's day 2024. I'm familiar with the area and have heard lots about Fork N' Pint, so I was excited to see what the hoopla was all about. I was able to park in a spot near the restaurant and realized they have a huge patio! Some of the garage doors were open and the patio was very busy. I guess you have to cut through the patio to get to the hostess station for seating. We got seated and reviewed the menu and noticed they have a buffet. I sort of saw it when I walked in, and asked how much it was. They said $20 for fathers day. I passed since it didn't really appeal to me in the moment, but my friend wanted some, so off she went. I ended up getting the classic burger and was surprised at some of the prices on the menu. I found them to be a bit high. Average cost about $20 a person. They do have a lot of wonderful drink selections both alcohol and non alcoholic. Anyway, I can't say I was in love with the experience here. Our server was fabulous, so it's not a staffing issue. But little things went wrong and I couldn't ignore them after a while. I know it's fathers day and it's busy, but you don't have other busy times here? Ever, just today? Some things I noticed throughout our meal. Our table was dirty and had not been wiped down after the last person had left. I happened to snag someone to see if they could please wipe it down as there was obvious drink rings and such at our table. There were several other tables that seemed to stay filled with dirty dishes throughout out meal. There was a fly that was constantly floating around at our table and it wouldn't go away. Our server forgot silverware, and at one point we needed a knife and they were out. No napkins until we flagged down another server to grab us some so we didn't make a bigger mess with our food. The food itself wasn't bad, but nothing good either. Would I return to meet someone here at their request? Sure, but not when it's busy. I assume they must've been short staffed because of father's day so I won't be too harsh but its a good place overall to have a quiet meal and a drink when it's not busy. read more

What a fun spot! I was lured in by the live music and pretty night lights. Walking in it was toasty and we were seated quickly. Lots of alcohol options and a few vegetarian options! I actually loved the sweet and spicy cauliflower bites, they were sauced well and had a good crunch. My son got the cheese pizza which I did feel was overly cheesed and they layer it on top of each other which causes it to kind of stick together - wouldn't recommend those. But my aunt got the vegetable rice dish with tofu and loved it and the mac and cheese was good I loved the booth made of jeans I thought it was super creative . Will definitely be back! read more

They have the garage doors open leaving a wonderful breeze inside. There's a large bar and a lot of seating throughout. There is even a private room that can host a private party with buffet. We got there right in time for happy hour! We love happy hour!! Half off beers? Yes please! We were promptly greeted by the most bubbly, sweet bartender. She seemed to really love her job! They had a fantastic beer selection! We ordered a couple of beers and continued checking out the menu. I have been craving a burger. So I was happy to see their burger selection. We both ordered burgers. I got the Beach Burger and he ordered the Mushroom Swiss. There is a choice between a half pound burger cooked to order or a quarter pound smash burger. We both chose the smash burger. Smash burgers can make me nervous, as they are sometimes overcooked. These were both perfectly cooked. Their toppings complimented the burger. We also both chose the fries. I recommend them. They were delicious! I typically eat a couple of fries and that's about it. I ate a lot of fries. They were so good! A group of 7 went here last week for my dad's birthday. I've been here when it was different businesses, but never to Fork n' Pint and wish I would have come sooner! They have a wide variety of different types of food, but they all looked so delicious and I ended up going for the Coconut Curry with Chicken. I wish it was a bit spicier, but it was a great option as were the Brussels sprout appetizer and the red velvet cheesecake. This location is nothing like the Madison Heights location. Absolutely horrible. Their take on a "Philly" looked and tasted more like chopped hamburger. Absolutely disgusting. Also got the Irish chicken. The veggies had absolutely no seasoning on them and tasted undercooked. The chicken was so dry I thought it was found dead in the desert in the middle of summer and just breaded and flash fried. All that for $50. I was easily able to order and pay over the phone, but I was not asked how I wanted my burgers cooked (so I told them), and I was not given a total, even after tipping. Not being given a total is annoying but I wouldn't have mentioned it except we didn't receive a receipt either. Not cool. My husband didn't like that the yolk was broken on his burger because it made the bottom bun soggy, but other than that the burgers were DELICIOUS! I was excited to try this place out as it was a halfway meeting point between a client and myself. We asked for a quieter place and the hostess placed us at the booths where the speakers were right beneath so not exactly ideal. I ordered the brussel sprout salad and a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese were your standard noodle cooking in a sticky cheese soup from a big pot. The brussel salad was super dry and I'm not sure if the dressing was even mixed with oil because it was simply dressed with balsamic vinegar. My mac and cheese? The SA dropped it. I know he was embarrassed, he apologized and we tried to make him turn a little less red. Poor kid. But that's not why I'm giving a 1 star. The waitress didn't check in on us at all. I don't even know if she was even aware that our food was spilled everywhere (in which we helped to clean up). I had to hunt her down for a bill in which I asked the bartender to help me find her. We went to FNP last night with another couple. First let me say our waitress, who was also the bartender that night, was very nice when she came to our table but that is the nicest thing i can say about this place, we have been there a few times before, but this visit was the worst. We arrived and ordered drinks, I was then told they were out of my order and that the manager was too busy to resolve it, there were about 7 people there at the time. We then ordered our appetizers which were decent, and then I ordered the Turkey Pub Club, this was supposed to have Sliced turkey breast, swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, with garlic aoili. What I received was a char grilled burnt chicken breast with colby jack cheese with bacon and lettuce, NO tomato, NO sliced turkey, NO swiss cheese, NO aioli. I pointed out to the server that I got received chicken instead of turkey, but she insisted it was sliced turkey it just how they prepare the turkey. All four of us at my table looked at it and said it was chicken, also the wait time was well over 45 minutes for our food, we had a table of 3 come and sit next to us, eat their meals, and chat, and left before we even got our food. when I asked where our food was, the grumpy manager glared at me and said angrily 40 seconds, well is was much longer than 40 seconds and it was absolutely incorrect. One of our friends ordered the root and quinoa salad and it didn't have crispy chick peas and it didn't have quinoa. Overall the issues were too large to ever consider going back or recommending this establishment. We happened upon this restaurant via Yelp while looking for a brunch/lunch place while driving through the area. The restaurant is nestled on a corner on a small street with other local businesses. Although we are in the dead of winter this place would be nice to dine at during the warmer months as they have outdoor seating in the front and large garage doors that open up to the front of the restaurant. Inside the decor is cozy and warm. GOOD BRUNCH menu - unique and deliciously prepared dishes like deviled fried eggs with candied bacon and their chicken and biscuit Sammie with country gravy - All of cooked from scratch and served in generous portions. We ordered the Dublin Crash Hash and the Chicken and Biscuit Sammie. Both were delicious and filling. The Dublin Crash Hash is no ordinary corned beef hash - it is fantastic- you have to try it understand how good it is. Chicken and biscuit Sammie was equally delicious - a large battered, deep fried chicken breast is served in between two halves of a made-from-scratch large biscuit accompanied with country gravy on top of the chicken. Chicken batter was seasoned and chicken was juicy and tasty, biscuit was fluffy with a hint of sweet. So good!!! During brunch they also offered a mimosa and Bloody Mary "bar" where they provide you the drink and you can go to the "bar" where they had a buffet of fruits, vegetables, crudités to add to you Bloody Mary or mimosa. Deal on the mimosa was a good one - you pay for the first glass and champagne refills were $1 each! For the bloddy Mary's you have to pay full for each glass. We came on the 4th of July and while it wasn't particularly busy at 5pm, the restaurant was incredibly warm (because all of the doors were open) and our waitress was likely stretched a bit too thin. We ordered two burgers and they were alright but the fries were soggy. I felt mislead because the menu stated the barnyard burger was on Texas Toast (it was on brioche). We also had to ask for both napkins and silverware as they are not kept at the table. Due to the doors being open, we also had a few flies around our table. The table was also sticky. The atmosphere is otherwise pretty but between the underwhelming meal and a few other factors, we probably won't be back. read more

Came to Fork N Pint last night with a group of friends. Didn't have the best experience with our server named Angel. At first she took awhile to get us waters and drinks but we let it slide. She took our orders and when the food was delivered she did not come check us on for 45 minutes until I tracked her down to get us our bill. She didn't come check how the food was, ask for boxes, prebus, or fill waters. Disappointed about this experience, hope it was just an off night. read more

I knew we loved FnP in Waterford, so we were excited to take a lunch break here last week. OMG - the chicken lettuce wraps have ruined me. I will never order them anywhere else again. So. Delicious. For lunch, hubby was looking forward to the chicken and waffles he'd had in Waterford, but they're not at this location. He pushed on and got the Big Reuben (before he noticed there was actually a 'small reuben' just after it on the menu). He loved it, and accidentally ate most of it. That's his problem, not yours ;) I had the Lemon Pepper Shrimp bowl from the lunch menu. The size was perfect, and the shrimp was plentiful. I don't like pepper much and questioned myself for ordering it in the first time. It was a little peppery for me, but that just proves I don't pay enough attention to the info I'm given sometimes. I would recommend this dish to someone who doesn't mind pepper. The flavor was great, if you like that sort of thing. I would totally recommend the new FnP location overall. Making FnP's a unique version were the crumbles of cheese that I guess were curd that had been pulverized in a food processor?! I prefer a traditional curd. Fork n Big Reuben the name is fitting, this sandwich is totally shareable. The corned beef is delicious I particularly enjoyed the fact it spend time on the flat top crisping up some pieces and providing texture. The rye bread is some of the best I've been presented as a vehicle for a reuben. We substituted fries for a side salad since our app was fries. We were immensely pleased to find the side salad wasn't just awful iceberg you find at many other restaurants in the area. The balsamic dressing was tasty, tangy and unusually thick for balsamic dressing so it stuck to the salad contents nicely (no messy dripping, bonus!). The blue cheese dressing was good even if it was missing cheese chunks. Our first experience started out well with a overly engaged and present server that was until they were assigned to a very large party in whole other part of the restaurant and we became immediately inconsequential - quite the bummer. All being said and done we will return especially with the limited selections available in LO/Oxford. And my final thought.... You should bring the Grilled Cesar to the LO menu!!! read more

New to the area and this place was recommended by some of the employees in the local shops. That combined with an ok Yelp! average and we were excited. The decor is nice. Not the greatest, but it works in some odd way. They appear to have a nice selection on tap as well. The waiter took around 5 minutes to greet us and seemed annoyed we didn't know what we want yet. It was our first time and we wanted to check the entire menu.... which was one page, front and back, but they seem to like details which was nice. Finally hubs decided on the Reuben with Creamed Cabbage and I decided on the Bacon & Cheddar with salad. Let me tell you how annoying it was that my only option was a double burger when I wasn't starving. We waited, waited some more, emptied our glasses, waited, the food brought out by another employee, waited some more and the server FINALLY came over asking if we needed refills. The entire food waiting process was at least 35-40 minutes in a restaurant that wasn't full at all. Now, I have never experienced my husband being so disgusted by his food he could barely finish it. He ate maybe 1/2 the sandwich and was done. I personally ate 1/2 my burger, as rough as it was, and there was NO seasoning in the meat. You'd think on a double burger, not with thin patties, you'd put 2 cheese slices so the patties didn't move easily on the bun, but I guess not. That's just McDonald's. We went back to the waiting game. Server finally came. I got a box thinking I could salvage the other 1/2 of my burger at home with an extra slice of cheese. She took his plate clearly noticing he hadn't really touched it and said nothing. That is a huge pet peeve of mine and she never asked how everything was. All in all it was a train wreck for us. We waited again to get our bill. I think we were there for at least an hour and a half for a quick dinner. We will not return. Will not recommend either. The ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars is I liked their ranch and I also tried a bite of the Creamed Cabbage. Though it needed a bit more seasoning, I am not usually a cabbage fan and found it good here.
