Nor am I arguing whether or not it was a consultation, or what is the correct term to use for the regimen handout. I am stating that it was NOT made clear that that was what was happening or that I would be charged for it. The whole point is that I was unaware it was a "full consultation." I highly recommend improving communication at this establishment. In summary, I never booked a consultation, nor did I ask for one, and there was most certainly miscommunication on the part of the employees. I went to Wonder Medical Spa on August 3, 2026 for Botox. I received 64 units and paid $832 -- $13…read moreper unit. This was the largest amount of Botox I had ever received. I was very unhappy with the result. My forehead was still moving and I still had visible horizontal lines. At the same time, I developed significant bruising on the right side, noticeable hollowness under my eyes, and something I had never experienced with Botox before: "rainbow wrinkles" above the outer sides of my eyebrows. In my view, these unusual wrinkles were the result of improper injection technique. This type of issue can often be corrected with appropriate follow-up treatment. That is exactly why I requested a follow-up appointment. Unfortunately, the follow-up experience was extremely disappointing. I came back to the spa expecting to be properly evaluated by the nurse who performed my treatment. Nurse Jennifer Shi did not come out to see me. Instead, a manager came out with an iPad and showed me my before-and-after photos. I personally pointed out the problems I was experiencing -- including the new wrinkles above my eyebrows and the other changes in my appearance. The manager agreed that she could see the issues I was pointing out. However, instead of offering a complimentary correction or having the nurse evaluate me, I was told that I would have to pay for additional treatment to correct the problems. Another concern is that the spa operates under the supervision of a doctor whom I have never met or seen, despite having undergone the procedure and later raising concerns about the result. I was never given an opportunity to discuss my concerns directly with a physician. I did not come back asking for a new cosmetic treatment. I came back because I had concerns about the result of the treatment I had already paid $832 for. I have had Botox before at other practices, and my experience with follow-up and touch-ups has been completely different. When a patient pays $832 for a cosmetic procedure and develops an unexpected result, I believe the appropriate response is to examine the patient, discuss what happened, and make a genuine effort to correct the problem. I contacted the spa in writing and requested my treatment records and other documentation. I also filed complaints with the appropriate organizations and disputed the charge with the financing company. Despite all of this, Wonder Medical Spa refused to provide a refund. What disappointed me most was not simply the cosmetic result. It was the way my concerns were handled afterward. I expected professionalism, accountability and patient care. Instead, I felt dismissed. I paid $832 for 64 units of Botox and was left with a result I was unhappy with, new wrinkles in areas where I had never had them before, bruising and hollowness -- and then had difficulty getting someone to properly address my concerns. Based on this experience, I would not return to Wonder Medical Spa and I would not recommend it to anyone considering Botox.

Because this information was not disclosed until I arrived--and after I had already taken time off work and traveled through traffic--I felt significant pressure to proceed with the service rather than leave. I consider the circumstances misleading and inconsistent with the promotional offer upon which I relied. I subsequently contacted the business to formally raise my concerns and provide an opportunity for them to address the matter. **My calls ultimately went unanswered and the business stopped responding to me.** Consumers should not have to discover after arriving for an appointment that an advertised product is unavailable and that the substitute being offered costs more. Advertising should accurately represent the product, price, availability, and applicable terms before a consumer commits their time and resources. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage prospective clients to **obtain written confirmation of the exact product, promotional price, and availability before booking or traveling to an appointment**. Clearly this place false advertises and do not have qualified esthetician to perform the procedure. For the price I paid on Groupon, it's not worth it. There are many other med spas who performs qualify work with qualified estheticians.
