I've always been hesitant to go to a medspa because of what I've read and heard about how pushy some businesses can be with new clients. I also felt intimidated that I would be talked down to because I have only researched treatments and have had no prior experience. I'm really thankful to say that my experience at Skin Refine Medspa has been extremely positive. I felt seen, heard and understood. Most of all I felt safe! I've been going to Skin Refine since January of last year and I absolutely loved my experience so much, I've been returning since and recommending them to my friends! In fact, I just went in today and felt confident to schedule a new treatment for myself. Thank you to the Skin Refine staff for making me feel safe and secure in my own skin. I am grateful for the ability to ask questions without committing to anything until I'm ready. I feel beautiful and so happy with my results!

Maryam has been incredible as my provider for fraxel laser, microneedling, and RHA redensity treatments. I've also received diamondglows here. It's a great refresher for your face. Maryam also provided tips on maximizing results and always takes your opinion in her recommendations. Altogether, my face has vastly improved. You can argue the treatments are pricy, but buying packages will get you a discount. I just think that's how the industry works so always get packages if you can. This place has a variety of treatment options, though they don't offer something like subcision, which is a more-involved procedure. But I'll just get that somewhere else and continue to come here for other treatments. Of course, they've recommended fillers and such for me. Rha redensity is like one. But they've been respectful that I prefer treatments like fraxel laser and such. There is a reason why they recommend filler though, because it does show faster results than others. The rha redensity provided the most improvement in a shorter time. They also have the skincare you need to purchase with ease. You're going to say those are expensive but they're not selling you products like La mer cream for $400. There is a parking lot, and there's always been space when I went, but the traffic getting there can be a bit much. All in all, I recommend doing at least one treatment here to see how you like it. You can also visit their instagram to see other's results. You might even see mine!

I originally scheduled a Clear and Brilliant treatment and decided to explore additional options during my visit. Janeen made the entire experience exceptional. She greeted me warmly and even recognized me from visits years ago at the Mountain view location.. That level of attention made me feel valued as a long term client. Her professionalism, knowledge, and customer service stand out. She explained the new treatments clearly, including Potenza and Rejuran Pro, and answered all of my questions with confidence and care. Because of her, I purchased a new treatment package and look forward to getting started. I now live in San Mateo, and that location is less than ten minutes from my home. Even so, I am willing to drive to Mountain View for the level of service Janeen provides. LaserAway Mountain View is fortunate to have her on the team. Overall, I've had mostly positive experiences here, but I hope they can improve on being more gentle and attentive with clients.

However, for this time, the Botox effect on me was very little, and then it was completely gone after less than 3 weeks! I feel bad because I recommended the clinic to a friend who came with me, and her application never had any effect on her facial marks whatsoever, and it looks as if she never did the treatment. I think either they are diluting their Botox to make it cheaper, or they are using extremely low quality product. I'm never coming back here again, it was a huge waste of money.

However, there is no LED treatment at all 2) they have a student to perform the procedure and they just showed this student on how to use the machine. It is not performed by a licensed esthetician. When I asked the student who performed the Silkpeel on me about the LED treatment, she even said she didn't know about it. When I showed her what LED light treatment is supposed to be, she said they don't have the equipment. I've actually done Silkpeel many times and also LED, so I know what to expect, however, this place completely take advantage of folks who have no experience about the services before. Clearly this place false advertises and do not have qualified esthetician to perform the procedure. For the price I paid on Groupon, it's not worth it. There are many other med spas who performs qualify work with qualified estheticians.

That is honestly ridiculous to be charged an extra $100 on top of the outrageously expensive appointment and laughably not even get to keep the papers. It was not made clear beforehand at all that I would be charged for it. Edit: To be clear, my "outrageous" comment is in regards to the original appointment, NOT the consultation I seemingly received AFTERWARDS. I feel that the services are overpriced, but that is not the reason I am making this review. Nor am I arguing whether or not it was a consultation, or what is the correct term to use for the regimen handout. I am stating that it was NOT made clear that that was what was happening or that I would be charged for it. The whole point is that I was unaware it was a "full consultation." I highly recommend improving communication at this establishment. In summary, I never booked a consultation, nor did I ask for one, and there was most certainly miscommunication on the part of the employees. I did not make the realization until I was charged for it, and at the time did not know how to advocate for myself, so I simply paid and left, but that was not fair to myself. Hence, this review.

My skin is healthy, glowing, and better than it's ever been. The treatments are super effective, and I've been using their skincare products for years now--they really work and feel great on the skin. I also want to give a big shoutout to the team for helping my teenage daughter. She had a pretty serious acne problem when we first came in, and now her skin looks clear and healthy. It made such a difference for her confidence, and I'm really grateful for that. I definitely recommend this place to anyone--whether you're an adult looking to take care of your skin or a teen struggling with acne. I was scheduled for double eyelid surgery on October 18th and traveled from Sacramento to San Jose for the procedure. Right before my appointment, Dr. Lay called to say he was "sick" and needed to reschedule. I was frustrated, but I tried to be understanding. He then booked me for November 15th at noon. I arrived early at 11:00 AM, only for him to cancel on me at 11:30 AM--thirty minutes before my surgery. He admitted he was still in bed, claiming he was "sick" again. There was no genuine apology, no urgency, no professionalism whatsoever. At that point, it was clear this doctor cannot be trusted with anyone's time, money, or medical care. I demanded a full refund and will never deal with him again. If you value your time and sanity, go elsewhere. The text message from Dr. Lay was sloppy. At this point it looked less like he was "sick" and more like he was hungover and couldn't even send a proper text.
