I was a little skeptical at first since they use an older system where you select songs using a large tablet style remote instead of a modern digital interface. Also, don't expect the music videos to match your song choices. Many aren't the official versions and sometimes random clips, often K-pop, will play instead. A big plus is that our room had a fan, so it didn't feel stuffy and the temperature was comfortable the whole time. We were also able to get a room right away on a Friday at 7 pm, which was great. Some songs I wanted weren't available, like "Pocketful of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield, "Stop and Stare" by OneRepublic, and "E.T." by Katy Perry, along with a few others I expected to find. Medium Sized Room: Plenty of space, cozy plush seating, two music catalogs, microphones with covers, a large table, air conditioning, sound was awesome, there were tambourines, a large screen on the wall & a smaller screen on the other side of the room! Lighting: The lighting was fun and colorful! Catalog: There were a variety of fun songs listed! I would love to see the catalog expanded with more songs; even more fun! The large room we reserved had a max cap of 15 people and there was a good amount of space and seating. The front reception person even brought in an extra small table for us as we opted to bring in our own food and beverages (w/ an extra fee). Had great song selections, music was loud so no one felt self-conscious and we could here it over each other's scream-singing, mics were amp'd, lights added to the fun ambience, and the tambourines were the perfect pairing to keep the mood and rhythm pumped up. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend. There's also delicious eateries within the same plaza. What better way to end the night than with some delicious Korean late night eats after burning off all those calories singing and dancing? Recommend this place for a fun time. read more

Randomly decided to have a karaoke night with my friend and found this place near by and decided to check this place out. Pretty cute spot, had a great time for a party of two! It is Korean owned so their remote and writing on the screen is all in Korean characters so definitely keep that in mind. The owner does explain how to use the remote and the buttons you should know so it does help a bit. He doesn't speak much English so bare with him, he's a very sweet man! I do recommend downloading the photo translator app before going to help translate the remote/tv screen. They have cute lights and a disco ball to set the vibes! They don't serve food or drinks there nor allow them inside the rooms so be sure to eat and get your drinks on before heading in! We grabbed some pho at Pho Daily within the same plaza that's open 24/7 so it's a great spot if you're feeling hungry before or after your song battles! read more

I went with my cousin today. Keep in mind, we are all under 21 so we have no issue with the no alcohol. The owner was very nice. Majority of the instructions are in Korean but there is an translation page to understand the controller. HUGE section for korean songs and a good amount for english songs. even has japanese! They were up to date on the song selections as they had songs that were about a month old. We were there for about 2 hours and paid $50. I came here with friends a couple times. It probably is like the oldest and crappiest looking karaoke in Gardena/Torrance. Since this one was the closest, we had no choice but to come here because it was already 1:30 AM. They close at 2:00 AM but the owner was nice enough for us to stay for an hour. That was nice but my experience here was not satisfying. One of the microphone wasnt working well. My friends and I were irritated later because it kept going on and off and it was just annoying. And the rooms are so humid and hot. Yes, he turns on the fan for you but it really doesnt do crap because it doesnt move. So if you're sitting away from the fan or right next to the fan all the wind is going towards the front so theres no coolness whatsoever. So stuffy and it was like sauna! He gives you a bottle of water for free, I guess that's nice I dont know. I will not come here unless I really have to. I rather drive 12 more miles and go to Koreatown in LA. read more

Came here on a Friday night at around 8 pm, so I was very surprised no other party was here. Maybe it was still too early? The man (owner?) was very nice and gave us free water bottles and cups to pour them in. We even went over time by about 5 minutes and he didn't rush us or charge us. The room had everything: two tvs, one on each end so you can actually sing to the audience hahaha, a disco ball, blacklights, mic/volume controls, and a remote. I went with my sister just to bond and ended up having a blast. The selection isn't huge, but it is quite up to date with the most popular artists and even has other languages available as well. That said it's a typical Korean karaoke. The remote is fully in Korean, but the owner does explain how to use it which I appreciated. He also gave us a cold water bottle and two disposable cups as well as two covers for both microphones. Overall the price wasn't bad, I ended up paying $35 for an almost two hour session in a small room (it was pretty spacey) and even had little disco lights. Granted it was happy hour. We were super excited about going to NRB, and we chose to this place since it was right next to the restaurant. The room was clean and spacious and we had so much fun singing and laughing. When one of the two mikes had trouble, he changed the mike and everything worked fine. we ended up ordering for beers since we were super excited, so I don't know the price for the room, but the total price wasn't that bad. we paid the total price and tips and it ended up near $90- 100 for two. It's not the most lavish looking place in the world but you can tell the owner invested all he could into this little studio. Don't get me wrong this place looks great! PROS: the owner is super nice and helpful. He brings in a bottle of cool water with some cups for you as a service when you first enter the room. The karaoke machine is the standard TJ entertainment machine, and although the controls can be difficult to work at first they are easy even if you can't read Korean once you get used to it. CONS: the rooms do not have AC. On a rather cool (~75 degrees outside) night, the room temperature can go up high, especially if you have multiple people in the same room. Yes, there is a fan inside the room (just one) but that doesn't really help to get rid of the muggy, heavy air trapped inside unless you open the room which doesn't really make sense because it's a karaoke room. Room prices: Small: $20/hr Med: $25? $30? Large: $30? $40? Definitely not bad. If you're the type to get hot really quickly I advise you to go somewhere else. If you don't mind, then you're good and it's a cheap fun way to spend an hour or two with your friends/family :D read more

Went there yesterday for a birthday party. It was awesome! The room itself is just the bare karaoke essentials (pretty much all you need), nothing too special. They did have some cool lighting though. We took the $30/hour room, it seemed to fit the 15 of us just fine. The owner was very nice and "lenient" with us. He allowed us to bring food and drinks to the place without any problem. He also provided us with a few water bottles and cups at the start. After singing a couple songs, a few of us went to hang out on the couch in the lobby area and we were a bit loud, and he didn't seem to mind at all. I love that guy! The only downside to this place is the song book is a bit disorganized. They have the bulk of it organized, but the new songs that they add monthly are in the back. You have to flip through the pages for what new songs they added month by month, wasn't too bad but still. They add probably about 6-8 new English songs a month. The rest were in other languages. Though there is a search option on the remote some where, too bad I couldn't figure it out since it's in Korean. So probably a good tip would be to bring someone who can read Korean to this place. Regarding song selection, it was okay. Anyways, I love this place and will suggest this place anyone wants to chill and just sing! Being able to bring your own food and drinks, too good. I had such a positive experience at Fantasia Karaoke. We had fairly seasoned karaokers visiting from out of town and we all had an awesome time. The owner was sweet and accommodating. The room we were in was clean and we were fortunate enough to have no issues with the sound system or the microphones. Most of the rooms looked fairly empty for a Saturday night ... but I guess that's for the better when we want to stroll in and karaoke - our wait in a K-Town spot in NY would have been an hour at a peak time like that! We paid $75 for 3 hours for the six of us ... a pretty good deal (especially compared to the NYC prices that we're used to). Not to mention, the sound system was on point and the rating system was generous ... we all sounded like frickin Celine Dion! hahaha. There was no alcohol available for purchase, which may be the only reason I'd take away a star - although, our group managed without it. So we get there and the man is outside and we wave to him and he wasn't approachable at all he didn't wave back seemed like he wanted to just continue to sit outside. Me and my 3 friends walk he and he walks behind us and I open a book on the counter that I thought was a songbook but it was so I immediately closed it and he yelled and said not to open it. Which I had already closed quickly when I noticed it was a planner. We left after that and as we need he shooed us away saying yes go very rude. Horrible, first time I write a review due to disappointment. This place is overpriced, yesterday my boyfriend and I went there for fifteen minutes and had to leave early for some emergency, after trying we still have to pay the full price $20, the next day I visited again with my other friend for two hours and asked for a discount since it was kind of unfair the day before. After he said yes to my request he still made me pay $35 when we leave 10 minutes early from 2 hours, which is no discount at all. Since it was kinda early, it seemed sort of slow but later on started picking up more. When we requested a room, the person at the front desk took us to our spot and give us instructions (most stuff was in Korean- but its was pretty easy to figure out, plus they got a guide in English). He was very kind in general and also give us some water and cups to share. The place/room itself its nicely decorated, has some flashing lights, confy seating, looked clean, and they even give you other music instruments for use while you sing! :) I believe we paid $20 for small room that fits something like 6 people. Love this karaoke place! Their sound systems were great and I love how you receive a "rating" at the end of the songs whether or not it's accurate. It was just my boyfriend and I when we went. Simple place but I thought the rooms were decorated very fun and it was clean. They even had directions for the controller translated into English- which was a huge help to me! Tried this place for the first time last Friday, and I was really impressed! The guy really is very nice - he gave us a bottle of water and some cups to share, and he said we could bring in outside food & drinks too if we wanted. His prices are VERY fair compared to the places in West LA or Little Tokyo that we've been to. It's a little hard to find songs in the song book because of the way it's arranged, but we managed. If anything, it made us sing some oldies and 80s songs while we looked for the newer stuff, which I loved. :) The one downside is that the place smelled kinda smoky, but I doubt there's anything the owner could do about it since the smell might have been coming from any number of places (people in the back alley or the KBBQ place a few doors down). This is located next to an AYCE KBBQ place I love (Hwang's restaurant). I didn't know this even existed until my cousin took us here. We came here under the recommendation of his friend. A man greeted us at the door (well, more so nodded at us, haha) and started leading us to a room. I don't know if he miscounted my group or underestimated how big my group was, but he took us to a room too small for my party. I think we found out at the same time because before I had a chance to say something, he led us back to the front of his showroom to a much bigger room :) It had all the shebang--disco lights, air conditioner and electric fans (extremely helpful during the summer night we came), galaxy glow in the dark wallpaper, and surround sound :) I was in a different world! The room also included tambourines and 2 TVs (a small one at the back of the room for some other viewing pleasure and a bigger one at the front for everyone to read off of). He brought us 2 free bottles and cups without us asking. If you ask me, he gave 2 bottles too much. No karaoke bar has ever given me free water that's for sure. The room got stuffy really quickly, but the AC allowed the air to circulate better. They have recent songs like Karmin's Broken Hearted, Jason Mraz's I Won't Give Up, and Maroon 5's Pay Phone.
