It's a solid meal if you're by yourself. I'm not sure why it's called Yatai but I understand that word is associated with those shop stands that cook food on the side walks. I'm a big fan of food stalls so this bowl of ramen gave me those kind of vibes. I loved it. It was well balanced and the noodles were delicious! The side of curry was delicious too! My go to is the Tonkotsu since that's what they're known for, and it was delicious. This time I decided to try the Black Devil Ramen, which combines their black garlic oil tonkotsu broth with their spicy tonkotsu broth. I'm really glad I switched it up because the black garlic gave the broth a much deeper, richer flavor, and the little bit of spice balanced everything out perfectly. I love spicy ramen, but not when it's so spicy that you can't taste anything else. Also added the Everything Topping and extra green onions because I'm feeling hungry. The extra veggies make it even better and definitely satisfied my hunger. Definitely one of my favorite ramen spots outside of Little Tokyo. I also had a side of the spicy katsu cutlet, which I also enjoyed very much. They brought me one big piece of chicken katsu and some scissors to cut it up, which I thought was neat. The service was also on point and our server even let us try some of their devil sauce ( I do not remember if this was what it was called but it sure was spicy). A few drops of this in my bowl of ramen and I began to sweat profusely. She said barely anyone ever orders it and I can totally see why haha. The ramen was served piping hot. It was so full of goodies like bean sprouts, onions, carrot slivers, and ground pork. We had come here long ago, but it may have been before my Yelp days. Instead, I was subjected to eating some of the most epic beef and pork skewers ever. Had I known you guys were serving up a variety of delicious grilled meats, I would have been here sooner! Seriously, stop grilling meats so satisfyingly oily, juicy, and smoky. It's too damn addictive!
