It's tragic that this place isn't rated 5 stars. My father…read morepassed away in 2012. He had a leather motorcycle jacket and my uncle Craig's leather motorcycle jacket (Craig passed in 1985). When I took from his closet they were moldy and worn. I put them in my closet and forgot about them for over 10 years. Fast forward to summer 2023 when I'm moving to a new house we bought and I find the jackets. They're even worse now than they were. I had them sitting by the trash when I decided I'd try to get them cleaned before trashing them. This was the only leather repair shop I could find. I brought them in and they said they could clean them up and redye them to look like new for $100 each. My dad's jacket cleaned up and was ready in about a month. My uncles jacket was far worse. The woman there cleaned and dried it half a dozen times. Spent months on it. Today I picked it up and I'm blown away. It looks beautiful. There's nothing I can say to express how grateful I am. This photo doesn't do it justice but I wanted to send it to my brother to show him. I wish I had taken a before and after. You wouldn't believe it was the same jackets. Not sure if the owners realized that they could not make money just selling novelties and lingerie but now they have live lingerie models and body works. Which is code language for strippers and happy endings. Sorry but that is just terrible and disgusting and made me afraid of touching the door knobs. Also the area that they are in is a very crowded area and they hang these obnoxious signs. It not even classy. Everyone knowns what you are going in there for. Since I got there and parked and I still decided to go in. I tried to be inconspicuous. I walked up the steps and as soon as i stepped in there was a really weird smell to the place and the place was totally tacky. I guess what did I expect? In other cities they have high end erotic novelty shops. This was not. I don't know if it was the manager but she just kept looking at me funny the whole time I was in there. The weird manager, tackiness and finally the smell was too much for me. I left. I told my friend about going to Blue Moon Emporium and he told me that this place use to be a funeral home and they use to do all the embalming there. His friend's parents owned the place and they said the placed smells like that because of the chemicals. He said after it was a funeral home it was housing for some addicts and that a couple of people died of overdoses right in the part where the store is now. I guess aside from the thought of what it was before and all of the death - what is worse is just the tackiness and smell. Last note, there is no discreet parking here - it is all street parking in on a crowded street in front of these huge signs advertising "LIVE LINGERIE MODELS"
