Sadly, simple customer communication goes a long way. We received one email about the matter, in which no information was provided. When confirming information was requested via email and multiple voice messages, i.e., date, check number, amount, we were ignored. We were forced to pay the installments for two loans to avoid damaging our credit. Furthermore, to personally attack a customer, who is protecting their credit and making payments for a product which they no longer possess is reprehensible. As a matter of courtesy and respect, customers deserve to know the status of any aspect of a transaction, especially in this technologically advanced era. read more

UPDATE: Hitch Rv strikes again Purchased an RV last year and was having an issue with the heat. Took it back to them for repair and were told they couldn't find anything wrong with it, it worked fine for them for 2 days with no problems. They suggested a space heater for backup in my brand new camper, because it's not meant to be lived in. Not living in it just trying to make it through a trip without freezing to death. I worked the better part of a day to reach an agreement on a unit with a sales rep. We agreed on price and I asked until the next morning to review it with my wife. He said that was fine. I followed up with an email saying it was a formality and inquired about hours and payment method. I emailed the next morning to confirm and heard nothing. Finally after calling and leaving a message I received a note that they sold the unit to another customer. He claims there was no contract. I would like to think there should be some credibility, good faith and ethics involved. I would caution anyone from doing business with them. read more

Bought a 2017 Keystone Bullet 272BHS. There were a few hiccups in the deal, but ultimately we were taken care of. The day of delivery went well. A very nice and knowledgeable young man (his name escapes me) went through the RV with us thoroughly. The finance guy (Mike) was very nice, and paperwork was fast and easy. Our salesman (Bill) got us an insurance quote while we were in finance, which was a few bucks cheaper than our carrier (Geico), but we stayed with Geico because they just added it to our monthly bill with no deposit necessary. The service department handled the motor vehicle temp tag quickly, and the girls were very nice (and funny). The hitch work is being completed now....Will update. read more

I bought my Travel Trailer from Hitch at the Hershey RV show in September, I picked it up in mid October and had an issue with the unit being properly winterized. I had not used the camper until April and ended up needing a lot of plumbing repair work done. I was able to work with the management team for a resolution and they completed all of the work for me within my time frame at no charge to me. They made a crummy situation better and I am happy with the outcome. read more

I purchased a brand new RV, was told delivery was included in price. A separate delivery company tried to charge me 500$ extra ( they got 250$) and my trailer had a non working fridge and multiple outlets without power. I now have to pay 125$ for someone to come out and assess what's wrong with my brand new trailer. I tried to speak with manager I received no call back. I was not offered any solution, nor a free service call when the trailer never worked. It was extremely unprofessional. I will never purchase or recommend this place to anyone. I purchased a double wide skyline shore park model. When it was delivered it was severely damaged. Flooring was all cut. Door frames didn't line up. Ceilings weren't finished. Insulation was wet. Plumbing leaked. Underbelly covering was torn. Front door wouldn't close properly. Framing was wrong preventing trailers from lining up properly. Valances were missing from some of the windows. When I bought this to their attention they said they would look into it with the manufacturer. I bought the trailers four months ago and still have no resolution and can't use the trailers. Been camping for years .. I know the value of a good used camper . I also know the value of a good warranty for a used camper . Bought a 2017 camper trailer from HITCH RV in berlin NJ ... took a hit by paying 2 additional points on my finance charge in exchange for a 5 year warranty that supposedly covered everything ... Got the camper home and found the slide-out remote did not work. Figured it was a minor repair so we took it camping for the first time . Discovered leaks under the galley sink and a major leak under the bathroom sink . When I returned home we brought it in to hitch for repairs under the amazing warranty we bought . The Warranty covered just about nothing . Told me I should have been performing maintenance ...EXCEPT THIS WAS THE FIRST TRIP. I expect a few things to go wrong when buying a used camper even though I was told they checked it from top to bottom ... What I don't expect is to get ripped off on my financing when I pay extra to have the peace of mind of a warranty ... This isn't baseball ... they only get 1 strike in my book ..... This is the first (and last) RV that I purchased from Hitch. I would recommend not going to Hitch, especially if you are planning on going camping within the same season that you bought the camper. There have been no issues with the camper, however they do not care about do not do anything in a timely manner, keep their customers informed, and managers do not care about customer satisfaction. It took over 3 months since purchasing my camper to finally get my tags and title. Upon buying the camper, they gave us temp tags and told us if we needed any more to let them know and they would send them to me. We bought the camper on 9/6/17. During the first week of October, I contacted Doris (title clerk) and told her that we were going on vacation on 10/26 and was requesting temp tags. We didn't actually receive the tags until the second week of November and when they eventually did arrive, the temp tags were already expired. Then Doris continues to call for more documentation that she needed me to sign and return to her. Once she finally shipped everything out to the titling company, they had everything ready within the week. However, when we got the actual title (the second week in December), the VIN number didn't match the camper. I called Hitch to let them know what was going on and to let them know that I have had my camper for 3 months and still do not have my title. I talked to 2 managers who both assured me that they would figure out what was going on. 2 days later the finance manager called me back and told me he was going to have Doris call the MVA and figure out what was going on. I told him I have not had the best experience with her and asked if they could just get back to me. He brushed it off and said that she would take care of it. Less than a week ago, I received a letter in the mail from Doris telling me to send her the incorrect title so that she could send it to the title company and have it fixed. She also made sure to mention that this was the MVA's fault. There were no other follow-up calls, and nothing back from the managers. I purchased my 2014 Bullet 285RLS new in Nov of 2014 from Hitch RV. I had an insurance claim from a tree limb penetrating my slideout roof in Oct 2015. I brought it to them and it took 6 WEEKS to fix it! I have enjoyed the trailer since then and it has been trouble free, and I did not have a service request until Oct 2018 when I called and left 2 messages for CRISTA in service to request pricing for my right wheelwell skirt that fell off in travel, and a side marker light that had also fallen off on my last trip. NEVER received a call back after leaving 2 messages so I called Indian River RV , another Keystone dealer in Pa and they immediately called me back, ordered the parts and were extremely cordial and efficient. The will get my future business, NOT Hitch RV. Based all these negative reviews I see on line , Hitch RV will soon cease to exist and deservedly so! read more

When I finally was able to pick up my trailer, they had used my toilet repeatedly (it was winterized prior to my dropping it off), smeared it on the toilet seat, and my battery is missing. The battery compartment had been closed, wires inserted and the strap tightened to make it look like the battery was still in there. When I called Hitch, they denied responsibility and refused to even look around to see if it was there somewhere. I asked them to look around their warehouse for my battery and I was told, "we have a lot of dead batteries in our warehouse". My battery was 1.5 years old. read more

I've had to retain an attorney as well as involve the attorney generals office of consumers affairs who told me there had been numerous of complaints against them. From a botched bank loan to not having a tv as promised to being supplied after complaints with a used one, to damages noted upon delivery that took constant calling ) with no phone calls back, and they even fired their service manager for incompetence! Still made no difference. Took 4 mos of me constantly hounding them, obtaining an attorney,and contacting attorney generals office ( The bureau of consumer affairs). I purchased a new 2019 motorhome over a month ago and have made my 1st payment however I have yet to take ownership of it due to multiple repairs that were required. I've not been told an estimated time of completion for the repairs. Very disapointed in the over commitment of promisses from the sales and finance team to earn my bussiness not to mention Thor and BB&T bank and their lack of response to my issues. I beleive all problems are fixable however it requires 2 way communication, somthing that stopped after Hitch RV in Berlin NJ recieved my $82,000 check.*******UPDATE****** Dec 23 2019, On Dec 3rd I stopped by the store in Berlin to find out why nobody could give me any info about my repairs or when I could take ownership of my brand new unit. I requested to speak with the owner however was only allowed to speak with the manager and the service manager, I was told they would contact me in two days with answers. While I did get a call from the service manager, he did not have any information about the pregress of my repairs. In the interum while waiting for Hitch RV to return my calls or answer any of my questions, I was contacted by my previous RV lender wondering why I was late on my payment. I explained I no longer ownened the RV and that it was traded into Hitch RV who was supoosed to pay it off. I again contacted the manager of Hitch RV who stated he would look into it and get back to me. I never heard from him again. In summary, I purchased a new unit on Oct 25th and still have not taken ownership of it yet due to incomplete repairs. Additionally, even though I was never late on a payment with my old unit, I have since been turned into collections for non payment. I have just made my 2nd ontime payment to BB&T for new unit. I wouldn't even give 1 star to be honest. When it came to purchasing the camper they were amazing. Now that I need a repair they are dragging their feet. My husband called they never answered so he went up there to make an appointment to get the camper looked at. The day before the appointment he called there because there was no phone call. Here they never put him on the schedule. They were quick to call the day of appointment for the fee to come out and look at camper. Have had nothing but issues. Its now almost 2 weeks later and they needed to come back out to look at camper to see what size black tank they needed to order. I have called alot of times trying to talk to a manager and still no return phone call. I think the customer service sucks as well as the service department in itself. The most unreal business I have ever have dealt with in my life , first the Sales person David Conard told my wife and I that the 5th wheel that was going for $61,000.00 was on sale for $43,000.00 , he would need a $500.00 deposit to hold the camper so he could run a credit check after a week of waiting on that we called him back and it had slipped his mind , he then called back with a $435.00 a month for 144 months which we could not afford, he forgot we were trading our pull behind camper for the down payment which is a 2018 but after adding what we would pay for the 5th wheel which ended up to $78,000.00 , so we decided not to go with the deal so we asked to get the $500.00 back on our card , this was tried 2 more times , Mr Conard said they were going to have to let the office in New Jersey to handle the refund , during this time the owner Les called and wanted to see what happened to the deal, so after 3 weeks a employee from the financial department named Norma Jean called and said the money was back on my card and sent me a receipt, after contacting my bank every day for 5 days I called Norma back and she said it must be on my bank side where the problem is , I contacted my bank and check my computer for my account and it was never received, so I called back and spoke to the General manager and I was told there is nothing they could do for 3 more days because their controller wouldn't be back , I explained to Scott the General Manager that I was going to put a fraud claim in with my bank and his response was that works for him , this is the most unprofessional business I've dealt with in my life , I don't know what's worse not receiving my money back as fast they took it off or the working crew just not caring, read more

This review is only related to the Milford, DE location. Let the buyer beware. On two occasions the manager told me, "you bought a used camper, you get what you get." This dealership is basically run by a father and son team. The salesmen promise warranties and service to make the sale then the sales manager, the father, denies the promises. "That's not how our dealership works" is his response when pushed for service. I've been flat out lied to by the sales team and received no satisfaction from the manager. Terrible sales experience with Dave C , Traded in a 8 sleep 39 foot camper to get a 8 sleeper 41 foot Puma. The Puma bought in December 2018 on sales agreement stated a small couch with no adult sleeper would be changed with a bed to sleep two adults since camper was only 6 sleeper. Dave promised this would occur, today is May 21st 2019, 5 months later he still breaches this sales contract, so I say baited to buy with no satisfaction and is not an 8 sleeper camper. I reached out to Forrest River weeks ago, whom is PUMA owner, to a Todd Martin who forwarded my message to Scott G. I traveled around Dave up to corporate and circle talk of each others fault, but had to go around Dave since won't resolve. Today my wife and family suffer with this and I begin legal review in the county as I have been instructed by lawyers. How can a company continue for 5 months give a customer answers of can't order or figure out a couch.. WOW. Please stay away from changing any camper on lot---to your need or listen to this salesman whom did not stand by his promise, word, or contract. Good luck if you bought one if takes months still going on a couch. Bought a 2018 Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen Lite at the RV Show in Atlantic City on February 19th. Trailer was suppose to be ready for delivery in 4 to 5 weeks. April 14th we go to get trailer and its not the one we looked at. Their answer was "Oh well that was in early 2017- these are the changes for this year." Changes were a rectangle island not oval - one sink not a split sink, recess lighting not hanging down lamps, different pattern on the wall behind the stove and the sofa in bunk house is brown - sofa in living area tan. The answer was that's how it comes now if you do not want it that is ok. I asked why would you show a trailer that is not available? We had a conversation about is this the one at the show we are getting, the manager Tom (who is no longer working there) said no but it will be the same thing. Not one word about any changes or this is last years model. We did not know it was a 2018 until we were getting insurance for it before we picked it up. The attitude of everyone there was we are selling 100 RV's a month, we can sell this one too. They DID NOT CARE AT ALL that anything was different or that we were not happy with the changes. If it was only my decision - I would not have left with a trailer from this place. That takes me to the service HORRIBLE! Not because of the guys working there but due to the fact they are so overbooked! There were customers waiting all over for 5-6 hours one guy waited all day the week before then was there when they opened the gates at 8 am and was still there when we left at 6pm for our 1pm appt. Another couple had their hitch mailed to Hitch RV - when they got there to install it parts were missing out of the box - they had opened it and took parts out for someone else, they went out and got new parts and tried to charge them for the hours of labor including going out and replacing their parts! We will not be returning for any service or warranty work and we could NEVER RECOMMEND HITCH RV to anyone. read more

We had intended to purchase a camper at the Blue Hen RV show TWO weekends ago. We were told our camper would be prepped and ready that week. Since then, we have been told LIE after LIE after LIE. We were originally dealing with Milford location, but I have called at least twice a day for some kind of update (both locations) and STILL have YET to get a phone call back. I have even left messages for Donna, who I was told was the owner. Read through their reviews here and also on Facebook.. I'm certainly not the only one!! It made me sick reading how horrible their service is and the many, many customers who have the same problem with not getting return phone calls and plenty of other complaints. I don't know how this place is still in business. We will be reporting to the manufacturer and the BBB. Memorial Day we purchased a destination trailer fromJohn Black. The process was quick, easy, and we really felt great after leaving. Two days later we hear from their service person about delivery and set which we scheduled for June 29th in order to get our seasonal site ready. The week of expected delivery we hear nothing so we call to confirm and are reassured everything's good to go. Day of delivery we wait, and wait, and wait some more. After several phone calls and messages we finally find out from the subcontractor they use for deliveries that Hitch never sent them the information. The subcontractor was really doing their best to squeeze us in when a Salesman from Hitch says they will deliver it and meet a crew at our campground. The crew happened to be one other person who came with nothing to set, level, hard pipe our sewer line or any of materials needed as part of the contract for delivery. After talking to service, they get us set for the weekend with the promise that a crew will be sent on Monday to take care of the setting of the camper as well as fixing the minor repairs needed (broken glass fallen inside and the outside shower door was missing). Monday comes and again it's one person who my husband helped to get the work done (he was great but it was not a one person job). That person was unable to complete the other repairs or go through the camper as needed. Tuesday they were supposed to send another person for the repairs, but yet again they did not come because he did not have the materials, at least that person called. We were told Thursday we would get a call to schedule a time for Friday. Guess what? No call. Friday (one week after we received the trailer) we call to see what is going on and still get the run around from their service person. We asked to speak to the Manager and he says the manager is off. Finally we ask who is in charge today and he says oh the general manager. Now we sit and wait for the general manager to "look into it" and get back to us. Moral of the story... sales are great but their service sucks. read more

BEAWARE - HITCHRV does not listen to customer's requests, they harass and threaten you. My wife and I were in the market for a new travel trailer and where already approved through a bank. We began talks with HitchRv who advised us to fill out there credit applications since it is there policy and that they may get us a better rate. We explained to the salesman Bill that we were already approved through Bank of the West and if you can get us a better rate through Bank of the West that would be great. This was verbally explained and put in writing. That weekend we went to the RV show in Oak PA and met Bill and the owner you explained that they will seek a better rate through Bank of the West. 8 days later after trying to get answers from HitchRv if they were able to get a better rate they finally contacted us and offered a higher rate including 10% down. Of course my wife and I passed and went with White Horse RV. HitchRV's Salesman, Bill continued to call and text stating they work so hard to get us a deal. We explained multiple times that we were not interested and to please stop calling. Over the past few weeks we started receiving letters from banks, Bank of America, M&T and Ally stating we were turned down for finance through HitchRv. Today April 4th we contacted HitchRv and spoke to the finance manager Mike who stated that we did not indicate on the credit application that we only wanted Bank of the West. I explained to Mike that we advised Bill and the owner multiple times verbally and in writing and at the RV show we wanted Bank of the West. Mike stated verbally does not hold up and what do you want me to do about it. He further stated if I want to call my lawyer and waste my money to go ahead as HitchRv keeps lawyers on retainage. I explained to Mike that you unauthorized ran our credit. I stated, this is why your customer services is horrible. Mike then proceeds to state not to talk to him like a piece of shit and that I should do whatever makes me happy. I explained to Mike that I am not the one cursing and please do not threaten me. Mike proceeded to hang-up. This is the worse experience we have had buying anything. Extremely unprofessional and they continue to pressure you into buying. There is a reason why HitchRv is receiving horrible reviews. Never again. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and have contacted each of the Banks they submitted my application. read more

THIS IS IN REGARDS TO THE MILFORD, Delaware Location of HITCH RV..2152 Bay Rd, Milford, DE 19963..............................I am not sure why it posted under their other location which is in New Jersey..... ... I am not sure HORRIBLE beyond words!!!!! I bought a travel trailer in August of 2015. I paid in cash installments for a used trailer. It was a dream of mine to buy a trailer (15 years in the making and I was SO excited to finally be able to do this...it was to be my home while I travelled and started my own business). The staff was initially nice... however they seemed annoyed that I was paying in increments over several different stops their in person. The treatment I received as a paying customer was HORRENDOUS and that is being nice! When the manager, Ron Lusby, came back from being gone for a while, all of the staff became very rude. I paid my final payment, received a "paid in full" bill of sale and the keys to my trailer.. a wonderful day .. it SHOULD have been but was HORRIBLE. I was told I was NOT ALLOWED to take my own paid for trailer off the parking lot... WHY? I had no idea but I did some digging around the area and found out a possible reason why....(which I did not know until after the fact). All I knew was that I was forbid to take my own property (the recently purchased Trail Lite travel trailer which I purchased for approximately $2,400 off their property! I was there alone as a women so I felt very intimated by these men who were actually hostile towards me. I brought back with me another person (a male) thinking that if I had a male with me they would treat me with more respect but they STILL refused to allow me to take my trailer instead they MADE up some lies and had my male companion ARRESTED and I STILL LEFT WITHOUT MY PROPERTY!!!!. I then had to have an acquaintance who I recently met pull the trailer himself with their permission. They NEVER sent me the TITLE to this trailer.. although they CLAIMED TO but it was never received when they claimed to have mailed it. I found out from other local resources that the reason that I had such problems was possibly because they (Hitch RV) had not paid the bank for this trailer that they had on their lot and therefore if I took it off their property that they (Hitch RV) would be charged legally.... (I HAD NO IDEA OF THIS AT THE TIME). Needless to say.. the treatment their as a customer.. I felt very intimidated and they even called the police on me when I simply stopped by to ask for the title... which I still have not received from them and it is NOVEMBER 2015!!!! read more

The sales staff as well as the service dept. is the worst we have ever dealt with. We bought a new Crossroads Elevation in June 2014. We have had nothing but issues with it. We have had it back to them several times and each time we have had to stay on them to get something fixed. They kept it for weeks at a time. Each time we got it back, they had damaged something else on it. They lied and said our generator was fixed, when in fact it wasn't. This last time they had it for 3 weeks and didn't fix a thing on it. They told us it was in the best interest of both parties if we took it somewhere else. So far we cannot find anyone local to fix under warranty. The camper itself is poorly made. We are finding more and more things wrong with it. They are the most incompetent RV dealer we have dealt with. The NJ office is no better. We will never go back and we will never purchase a Crossroads product again. read more

It all started in Oct.of 2016, started my shopping for the ideal trailer. Did 3 months of research. Narrowed my choices down to 7 campers. Then to the one I thought was the best. Dealt with Lakeshore RV in Michigan and they gave me a deal I couldn't refuse until HITCH RV got a call from my wife who said they would match any price and also have the best service. Well LMFAO how untrue that came to pass. They went as low as $500 over Lakeshore price and a 3 day camping trip free in Cape May NJ which I said well ok ill keep my cash in NJ, plus yes good service HAHA. Well its all been a nite mare since, they promised me the trailer by end of March then they didn't call and call and call. Finally I go get my camper in April, oh by the way 2017 Outback 325BH, and it took over 2 hours after my appointment to get things rolling I was there over 4 hours oh and I paid cash by the way. Well long story short had 13 things wrong with camper, took it to them in July, and never heard from them I had to call to see what's going on and never got thru and no return calls. Finally I got keystone involved and they helped a bit. I found out camper sat there untouched. Took over 5 weeks to get back and missed out on most of use. Oh by the way camper still not fixed, and received no trip to Cape May. Its now Dec. I still have gotten no call from Hitch RV or from Keystone. From the main manger down to the service dept. all they did to me was pass the blame on down the line. If anyone out there thinks Im just looking to get one over well there dead wrong I bought a trailer and I want it fixed and working properly. Unfortunately We had the same problems as others with Hitch RV in Turnersville NJ. I bought a travel trailer at the RV show in Atlantic city. They promise a lot of things but don't produce. We had problems with the trailer on our First trip to Florida. This is after the service department did a walk thru and said trailer was good to go! The air condition wouldn't shut off and neither did the heat. Bathroom sink was leaking, door to bathroom wouldn't close, screen door wouldn't close, window on slide out was leaking. Black tank valve wouldn't close all the way and a few other things so I brought it back to hitch in Turnersville which is 2 hrs away from our home and spoke to Bill who I was led to believe was the service manager and he wrote all the complaints down. I was told I would be contacted when the repairs were complete. I waited aprox 10 days we called and asked where the trailer was as we wanted to go camping again and Kathleen was told that when I dropped it off they couldn't get to it for at least 10 days of course that never happened! A few days later they called us and said the trailer was done. The women who called was very nasty and told us we used the wrong toiler paper, I informed her in a nice way that we bought the toilet paper from them, ?? They also charged us for this service and she said we needed lessons on using the thermostat. Brian in service did our walk thru and give us instructions, so were we misinformed?How could she say this. After getting no satisfaction from Hitch we contacted Forest River, they said they would send us a check for the amount we paid hitch and gave us a dealer from Forest River in NJ we could take the trailer to if we are not satisfied. We have not received our refund yet hoping it will be in the mail soon. We are going to address other issues we have with FR and hopefully we will be successful with a decent resolution!!! read more
