If you don't want to read all of this, Sibi Firewood is superb and totally reliable…read more First time using Sibi Firewood last week (september 2026). They are something very unusual as firewood sellers - honest. If you're going to buy firewood from someone who wants cash only, doesn't provide a numbered invoice and doesn't charge sales tax, (yes, I know it's very tempting) then, at some point, they are 95% of the time, going to lie to you. Whether it's condition of the wood, usually wetter than told, type of species, or amount supplied ( being shorted is quite normal). You will also probably get wood that is of a size difficult to use. Sibi Firewood did none of this. Jacqueline and Papi, owners and wife and husband both came from near Marblemount to Edmonds, about 70 miles, to deliver 2 cords of kiln dried maple. The fee was a more than reasonable $175. In fact, I'm pretty sure they're losing money on that item. The product and service was exemplary. They offered to split down any logs I thought were too big, I'm older and handling large pieces of wood is difficult. I told them the wood was exactly as I'd ordered both in length and size. They then tidied up and made sure I could get my car out of the garage. After it was finished, they spent so much time chatting I started to feel guilty. It turned out that Jacqueline is also an end-of-life doulah which rather explained the empathetic attitude, but not entirely. Papi was also extremely pleasant and chatty. Wonderful people and I was delighted with their visit. You may think that their prices are high. If you research firewood suppliers that are legitimate and reliable, you will realize their prices are not. I consider them a bargain. I've been buying firewood for over 30 years and this is the best experience I've ever had. I can tell you some real horror stories. I haven't had all the wood stacked yet, but it looks way more than I paid for. In case you're wondering, this is not a "fixed" review. I met them for the first time last week. Hopefully you read all this, Paul Harrison

He loaded up the wood, then offered to go to a nearby store to get a tarp for me as it was raining and I did not bring one large enough to cover the whole trailer. I paid him, and was on my way, all just a few hours after I called. The wood is burning great. I likely will only purchase from Sibi if I need to buy wood again.

I've ordered firewood several times from Craigslist, and my experiences have been very expensive…read moreand good or less expensive and crap (and definitely not a cord). Seattle Firewood Co hit the sweet spot. Friendly people, on the phone and at delivery. The driver showed up on time (huge) with a tilt truck. We live in a townhouse, and his care not to hit plants, cars, and wires was appreciated. Delivery measured just over a cord and nearly all the pieces are ready to go, so the ax will be tucked away most of winter. The wood did come with a fair amount of loose bark, but I used it for mulch around the racks. Only downside is the wood is seasoned but not bone dry (we've had a lot of rain), leaving it in the house two days before use dries it up plenty though. I will be ordering from them again.

When I pointed out the fact that it was wet, he said it probably got rained on and to loose stack it and it will dry in no time! I rely on my fireplace to stay warm! The wood wasn't seasoned enough. It's too bad! He lost a potential customer by selling me unseasoned wood.

DO NOT BUY WOOD from them, they would charge you premium price for wood so wet that do not burn. Dean even pointed out during the delivery himself the wood had fir mixed in. Nick and his crew from Avid were with us for five-plus days, chipping, grinding stumps, fishing widow-makers out of the treetops, lightening crowns of the oldest trees to lessen wind resistance, thinning out dead and unhealthy trees, cutting the downed wood into firewood-size chunks for us. And all the while they were cheerful, considerate, a pleasure to have around, showed up when they said they would, did what they said they were going to, and every day made sure before they left that we were happy with what they'd gotten done. As a certified arborist, Eli has been invaluable in helping us identify the trees on our land and understand what they need to stay healthy. He also pointed out several dead or declining trees that needed to be removed for safety--guidance that has kept our property both beautiful and secure. Eli is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. We have never felt rushed during a consultation. He takes the time to explain what he's seeing, answer questions, and make sure we fully understand our options. One example that stands out is when we asked him about two beautiful Japanese cedars at the entrance to our home. These trees tend to grow bulky and require annual pruning. Eli not only explained the proper approach but took the time to show us, step by step, how to prune them ourselves. He even recommended the exact tools we should purchase so we could maintain them safely and efficiently. We truly appreciated how freely he shared his expertise, especially knowing this was work we might handle on our own. His office staff is consistently professional and responsive, and the crew that comes to perform the work is always polite, efficient, and highly skilled. They represent Eli and his company extremely well. We highly recommend Eli Walton and Pioneer Tree Service and Landscaping for any tree-care or landscaping needs.
