Indoor shuffleboard courts

Lots of fun! I have never played shuffleboard before so when my company had our group Christmas party here I was very excited to try something new. Before going to the venue I went to their website. They have a great visual of the rules and how to play shuffleboard. Really all the heads up we needed to get started. The venue does have a small parking lot behind the business but it was filled. There is street parking that is easily accessible. The place has a long bar and the drinks were great. Great menu of fun cocktails to choose from. They have small and large tables for your group. There are 5 shuffleboard courts to play on. Since we had an afternoon event we had the place to ourselves which was awesome. We had a buffet with slider sandwiches, salad, charcuterie tray, and cookies. The staff was great in keeping our drinks filled and cleaning up after us. Shuffleboard itself was a lot of fun to play. Even with no experience we all had a great time.

Husband was skeptical but the day ended with these words "it was really fun". This was a fun spot and the drinks and beer selection were great! We went on a Saturday at 12pm. It wasn't too busy but I can see it might get really loud. I think it would be a great place for anyone who might be physically challenged too. Conclusion is we had fun and we will be back.

I've been here a couple times so I decided it was finally time to do a review! Very cool and spacious place. If you are a beer drinker, they have many different beers to choose from so you are bound to find something you like. I ordered the Herniated Disk. It's was very good and packed full of flavor. The bread was very light and all the flavors of the green fried tomato, avocado, and slaw paired very well with one another. The sandwich which a little messy but not the end of the world. The tatter tots for the side were extremely salty and I couldn't finish them. We ordered the corn dogs which were good, nothing extraordinary. We also ordered Shuffles Puffs but was served, the Kerfuffle Shuffle. It was busy so wasn't worth asking for them to switch. It was good but had a lot of avocado so if you're a fan of avocado I recommend getting it. In my opinion it didn't pair well with tater tots.

Came here as our Stop #3 during CLE Burger Week, and it was a great place end our week-long run! Given the Covid-19 life we are currently leading, we felt very safe and comfortable on their outdoor patio picnic table style seating. Beers were flowing (especially the $2 cream ale...what not help them finish off that keg?!?!?) as we ordered both our burgers as well as an "upgraded" order of tots. Everything we ate was top notch! The shuffle puff tots were some of the best loaded tots I've ever had, perfectly crispy and topped with a white cheese sauce, crumbled bacon, green onions and served with a house-made ranch dressing for dipping..it easily serves 2-3 people. The Mighty Puck burgers were served smashburger style with two thinly grilled meat patties, gooey white American cheese, special sauce, pickle slices and shredded lettuce all served atop a perfectly grilled bun. Between the great weather, eating on the patio and sharing this meal with some close friends it was a perfect way to cap off a gluttonous week of burger indulgences.

If you are looking for a fun and unique day/afternoon/night out, then head on over to Forest City Shuffleboard, young, old, athlete, competitor or not, you are in for a great time! This is real shuffleboard mind you, they also have tabletop, but we played the real thing. I certainly hope that places like this aren't unique for long, someone in Buffalo please get this started! My brother lives in Cleveland and him and his wife are part of a league here, so when in town visiting him for the Bills game he rented a court for 2 hours on Saturday. We had a group of 6 and the 2 hour timeframe worked out great. He mentioned that when he has come in the past with a group of 4 that a 1 hour time slot worked out nice. Everything you need is provided for you. They offered to have one of the workers help get us started and explain the rules etc, but my brother and his wife know the drill so they explained and helped instead. The waitresses come around though with menus and drinks and refills. They do have food, although on this occasion we just ordered drinks. The atmosphere is really cool, there is a "jumbotron" with info in the middle, photos of famous coaches real and fictional on the walls, stadium seats from some big known sports stadiums, cool sports quotes, tabletop shuffleboard also, and a nice large bar area and a variety of tables. When visiting the greater Cleveland area I highly recommend a visit to Forest City Shuffleboard, a great time awaits!

My wife and I have been coming to Forest City shuffleboard for 2 years now during the Christmas holiday season. I have every intention of coming back every year. The draft menu is rotating, the servers are quick and the fun is unending. I wish more cities would get their own shuffleboard place with a bar. I recommend booking a reservation in advance to guarantee yourself a spot.

What a great time we had for my husband's birthday party! It was a surprise gathering and I coordinated everything with Stacy, who was WONDERFUL to work with - responsive, answered all my questions. We were able to find street parking right across. Our friends had a great time playing shuffleboard (they have traditional and tabletop) and also had great food! They have a full bar with lots of draft choices and we ordered some sliders which were great. They also have a couple pinball/ arcade games. This was a great opportunity and location to try something new and I'm so glad that we came here. I would definitely recommend for your next gathering or night out!

My parents have been trying to take us here when we're in town visiting for a while now, but it's really hard to get a reservation. Most recently, we were visiting for over 2 weeks and were able to get a reservation a couple of days before we left. Other than the lack of availability, this place is pretty cool. They have a bar area with a few table top shuffleboards. These are easier to get reservations on, but we weren't really interested since plenty of bars have them. Then in the back they have 5 or 6 shuffleboard courts. I now realize why it's so hard to get in -- they would be better off with way more courts. When we got there, we had to give them our credit card to hold at the bar and then wait 5-10 minutes after our reservation time to start. They don't start your hour until you start playing so that wasn't a big deal. They explain the rules to you and then you're free to play. We got in two games in an hour, but our first game took way longer than the second, so you might be able to do more. The one downside is that it's very loud in there. With the size of a shuffleboard court, you can only talk to the person next to you and even that was hard with the noise level. I would have given this five stars, but the experience paying at the end was awful. Instead of charging you up front or having a separate way to pay, they make you go to the bar to pay. The bar was packed and we waited at least 15 minutes to pay. I now understand why they take your card at the beginning because I'm sure people would just leave without paying rather than dealing with that. I'm sure they're trying to get you to drink while you're there, but this experience should really be improved so that you can leave in a timely manner when you're done playing. They charge $14 per person per hour, which isn't cheap, but I think it's reasonable compared to other similar activities. Overall, we had a lot of fun and I would recommend it!

My friend Mike later joined me to hangout. Vibrant and lively sports bar showing women's and men's sport games on several TV's. I gave a 3-star rating because I was disappointed that upon my arrival, the only TV in the main area playing the women's tennis final match at the U.S. Open did not have the volume playing. The volume was on full blast over a speaker for a men's football match. Showing men's sports was fine with me but as a women's sports bar, they could have at least tried to get sound for the women's tennis final match. I asked a waiter about putting the tennis match volume on the main speaker so that we can hear the match but she said that the other TV's are the only ones that play sound. FOOD -- There is lots to choose from appetizers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and flatbreads. I ordered the pepperoni flatbread which tasted delicious. It was small and cost $15 which is a bit high. TV's -- There are about 8 TV's stationed throughout the bar. I sat at a small table at the entrance and watched the Women's U.S. Open tennis match from the 1 TV that was showing the match. I was excited to watch the match but there was no sound. The only sound playing was for a football game going on. This was surprising because the bar is a women's sports bar so one would expect women's sports to be highlighted on the sound system. LOCATION -- On Detroit Ave. next to the Welleon apartments. SERVICE -- Good and standard. I was greeted upon walking into the bar and then a waiter came to my table to hand me a menu. If you don't drink alcohol like myself, you can still have fun here by watching sports and ordering some food. I may be back if I know that I can watch a women's sports game here and actually hear the game. Hopefully they have fixed their TV sound issue. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 22/250 total reviews in 2026 - 863 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 13 April 2026

This place is a one stop shop for many Cleveland classics both original and vegan versions…read more My pre-trip research brought this place to my attention. I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. Friendly neighborhood watering hole literally on the corner and basically across the street from the a Christmas story house allowing you to eat within eye sight of the leg lamp. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.

A place called Characters Bar & Grill kept coming up. So here's how things went! Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is like... at the EDGE of Cleveland's city limits. Lol. Brookpark Road or something. Once I pulled up it just felt like a nice, neighborhood spot! It does have a private parking lot, big outdoor section (where we sat) and plenty of space on the inside. It's a traditional setup. TVs everywhere, random swag and decor all throughout, plenty of high-top tables for seating and a big bar rail. The energy was lively and the music was so random. Lol. If you've been, you know what I mean. Service: I can't remember the name of who took care of us, but she was funny, sweet and just made sure we had everything that we needed. Food: While here I was able to try a few wings, so let's begin. First up were the Mike's Sweet Island Heat. For the record, if you order 10 wings, you can split them into 2-5s for an extra $1.00 if you want separate flavors. Also, on the menu there are 3 "types" of sauces that they offer. The first kind are Buffalo based sauces, the 2nd are barbecue based sauces and the last is "other". Lol. Anyway, these looked amazing, were super saucy and were a decent, seemingly normal size. I got lots of good fruity notes and aromatics as I put the wing to my nose. After tasting the flavors carried through with a bold, fruity, rich flavor. There was good spice and it felt like a chipotle based spice. It was a unique flavor for sure that I hadn't tasted before. Next up was Lenny's Honey Sriracha Teriyaki which is a mouthful of a name, but the flavors showed up! It was a good teriyaki base with citrusy lemon flavors that actually made my lips pucker just a bit. These weren't spicy at all, but it was missing something, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Next up was Chipotle which I was lead to believe would be the hottest sauce on the menu based on it's placement on the menu, but I was wrong. This one did have some GOOD heat to it. The ingredients were balanced very well that created very bold, rich, hearty, chipotle flavors. I really liked this one. Next up were the Mild Buffalo. These were super saucy, juicy and had a very straightforward traditional Buffalo flavor that had some excellent flavor. The bleu cheese to go with these was a creamy, mild sauce that would cool your mouth down if you can't handle the spice. Next up was the XXX Buffalo which is actually the hottest sauce on the menu. The sauce was a bit watery which is a dead giveaway that it wouldn't be as spicy as it claims to be. It was still delicious, but the spice took a while to kick in, but it's nothing to write home about. It was like a kicked up Buffalo. Value: It's a sports bar, so the food won't be terrible expensive. I was there on Wednesday and wings were $1.00 each. Not bad at all considering how expensive I've see some. They even had $5.00 steaks this night, but I can only imagine them being a Salisbury steak or something. Lol. In conclusion, I had a blast here. The food was great, the people are awesome, I felt welcomed and it just felt like a good place to hang out! I look forward to returning and trying some more flavors!
