A unique experience. Hearing from Phyllis and getting to take a different perspective on seeing/ connecting with nature was such a joy. Truly recommended. Got to practice great ways of being present. It was a short and easy walk in such a beautiful environment. In COVID times, stayed safe with masking and even with others in the group you are outside predominantly. Be sure to use the restroom before going on the walk. Should last about 2 hours but we'll worth the time and cost! Highly recommended! Big tip: bring mosquito repellant, wear long sleeved items and prepare for a little rain. read more

I attended a Forest Bath with Phyllis on Arbor Day and I came away feeling refreshed, renewed and feeling very much at peace. My partner found this experience via Airbnb. It was the first time we ever heard about Forest Bathing. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Phyllis. It was a small group - us 2 and a guy from Colombia, whom we now call friend! We spent our time indulging within forest with one another. We meditated, worked on being so present that not one picture was taken with our phones. I highly recommend this tour if you are from the city (or lead a busy lifestyle), and want to get in touch with your inner self in nature. Although we have no pictures to take home with us, we are taking much more - lessons to visit, calming experience to always remember and even a new friend. I am a healthcare worker currently treating patients throughout the global pandemic. In normal times, I am usually at peace with my work and life balance, self-care, meditation and reflection however over the last few months, this has been more difficult. I have found myself more stressed and anxious than I ever have been. The last few weeks in particular have been very difficult, and I wanted to try something new to gain more peace and relaxation. During the session led by Phyllis, I felt at peace and calm. The walk was beautiful, lush and green. We met virtually, but I still felt present. The Forest Bathing with Phyllis is excellent. I recently had knee surgery and am unable to get out of the house. So, this was exactly what I needed. It allowed me a sense of being among nature while sitting on my couch. The virtual experience was fulfilling, I could only imagine what it would be like in person. She guided us through a series of gentle invitations that helped us tune into our senses and experience not only the beauty of what she was showing us in Hawaii, but of our own surroundings. For one of the invitations, Phyllis asked us to turn our attention to things in our surroundings that were moving. I thought she asked us to imagine that we were those moving things and so that is how I interpreted her invitation. It was a very powerful moving meditation as so many things in my landscape were moving - a trembling leaf, the gently swaying bamboo, the wind making ripples across the pond. It was very calm and centering. Afterward, Phyllis brewed tea with fresh Hawaiian herbs she had gathered. Although I could not be there in person to drink the tea she brewed, it inspired me to pick some of my own herbs (lemon balm and rosemary) and make a small pot of tea to enjoy in my garden.
