This review is for an estimate at Pittsburgh Collision Butler St 15201…read more Took for an estimate on drivers side door. Slightly pushed forward while opened & wouldnt open/close properly. Was told cost would be at a minimum $3,000 and if not done may not pass inspection. Took to another local family owned, reputable garage for 2nd estimate (38th & Penn Ave 15201). The elderly owner looked at the door, went back into the garage, came out with a wooden block, placed it in door hinge, opened/closed door several times, removed block, pulled down in door with his body weight, closed door & it WAS FIXED!!!!!!! He told me "no charge" Lol. I gave him some cash and told him to buy himself a dinner up the Little Italy Days. Needless to say, Ill never go to Pittsburgh Collision for any service.

Dropped his car off and they call to say he needs new back brakes and rotors. My son being in college, decided he would put them on with his dad to save some money. When he picked up the car, he asked when he could bring it back to be re-inspected and the guy said he was booked for the next 3 weeks. In other words, because he wasn't making money, he would not re-do the inspection. Charged my son $50 for nothing, didn't even put an emission sticker on. The car is only 2 years old. I prefer going to a mechanic who doesn't want to take advantage of a college kid.

They rushed the work the second week, and scratched my roof in a few places and told me it was like that. Angie stated they Did the scratch, she saw it somehow in a picture they took?? They fixed it. The one in the middle of the roof was not repaired. I found paint smudge prints and dust on my back door panel, and dust in the interior door panels as well. They Armor All the tires, and had it all over the freshly painted wheel wells! They did a nice job on the rust, but that was it! Absolutely no communication the first week they had my car. I had to call to get a update on Friday... I asked for them to buff my car, $225, they did not even do the whole car, so I feel I should have been reimbursed some, but they did not. So this is why I am giving a 2 star review. For spending $2075 for work they provided, I think they should have treated me and my car more professional than they did!
