My apartment often has "Food Truck Thursdays", and this time, they had Foreign Policy. I almost forgot about it, but we get email reminders. They usually include the menu, but I didn't see one, so I went on their website and Yelp for menu/food photos. I need to see what I'm eating. Very much a visual eater. I also like to prep what I'm ordering. I like the Asian, American, and Mediterranean options. Oh and a Latin dessert. I was torn between the gyro and Korean fries. I love fries and Korean bbq, so I went with the Korean fries. I love that they used crinkle fries. It was a little drenched too much with queso that pooled at the bottom of the container. With all the queso, sauces, and Korean bbq flavors, I wanted the fries to balance out the saltiness. When I got home, I moved the fries to a different container to preserve some of the fries. Don't get me wrong, I love queso, and theirs is really good, but it was a little too much. Maybe if it had been spread onto a larger container to even out, it would've been better. My apartment gives discount vouchers, first come, first serve. They were giving out a $10 voucher which pretty much covers a meal. I got there earlier before they handed it out, so I paid for the fries. I thought they already passed out the 10. The assistant manager saw me and handed me one when I walked back in the building. So, I came back later for the churros and caramel sauce for dessert. The portions are a good size. I saved half my fries to save room for dessert. The churros were nice and warm and filled with dulce de leche, I believe. The caramel sauce was delicious to dip the churros in. The wait for the Korean fries and churros separately was about 5-7 minutes. Not bad. There was one person cooking and one taking orders. I enjoyed their food. The pricing is average for a food truck. I had known about this truck for a while, and I finally got the opportunity to try it. The concept is neat in that it offers fusion of a variety of cuisines like Korean, TexMex, Mediterranean, American, etc The staff were friendly and efficient. I was actually really impressed by the speed in which I received my Korean Fries The truck is clean and organized from the outside. The menu has pictures instead of just descriptions, so, you can see what you you're ordering. Menu can be found on the side of the truck or online Some tips: I would definitely recommend the Korean fries. They pack a punch of so many flavors. Unprosfessional. The last taking orders had a horrible attitude. I asked how the burger patty is cooked (medium, well, etc.), and her very curt and rude response was "I don't know. I don't cook the patties." Nevermind the fact that the cook was right there behind her (who she could've asked). She then proceeded to disregard my question by asking me if I wanted anything else. I got the American Policy Texas Burger and it was one of the best burgers I've eaten. Food truck or brick & mortar included. So this food truck came to my apartments last night for Food truck night. I was t extremely hungry but I wanted to try it. So I called downstairs and ordered the Korean Fries. The guy asked if I wanted jalapeño and egg. Of course I said yes. I'll try anything once. When I got downstairs my food was ready. Now the price was a little pricey it was around 18 bucks. Decided to try this place parked outside my complex and was really excited for the French fries, especially since they were loaded with so much stuff. First, I want to say the staff was unbelievably nice. I decided to go for the Mexican French Fries and they were so hard to enjoy because of how spicy they were. I am not one ever to complain about food being too spicy and can handle a lot of spicy, but my lips were literally burning after eating these French fries. Super cool food! They were at an event in a near by park and got to try out the food. It's a good truck and it had a nice decal wrap on it. The menu was presented in a good way and easy to understand. They take credit cards. After we ordered our food they gave us a buzzer just like the ones they use at restaurants when your table is ready. When it buzzed a short time later I came and got the food. The guys in the truck were great. Right when we walked up to the truck someone was there ready to take our order and answer any questions we have.
