I had a leg ulcer that wouldn't heal and went to my vascular surgeon--he referred me to a wound clinic. I spent 6 months ($100/month) at the wound clinic but was concerned the wound was healing with excessive pain and hard tissue. I returned to my dermatologist and asked her to look at my leg--she refused and told me to return to the wound clinic. Consequently, I sought the opinion of another dermatologist and ended up at Forefront Dermatology. Dr Kasteler is amazing and extremely competent. He looked at my leg and said I think you have morphea--a biopsy proved he was correct! I have complete faith in Dr. Kasteler and totally recommend him to anyone seeking a competent and experienced dermatologist! read more

My procedure went fine, but a simple mole removal and biopsy ended up costing me $800+ even after insurance. These scumbags then sent a debt collector after me even though I was on a payment plan and making the payments. I would never have come here had I known what I know now. read more

I would stay away from this place. I went to see this doctor in the end of the year. I told him I been diagnosed with this specific condition 18 years ago and just need a refill on my medicine. He told me he would not write me that medicine but write me another one. The new medicine just put me in the hospital and did not work which I told the doctor it wouldn't. He charged my insurance for 45 minutes when he wasn't with me for 10 minutes. Charged me 178 dollars on top of what he charged my insurance just to put me in urgent care. The doctor refused to work with me on the charges as I had to pay for the emergency visit and blamed me for being sensitive to medicine when the urgent care doctors stayed this is a very common response to this medicine. I paid it full then they send me a bill that I already paid for and saying I owe the remaining balance that I already paid. When I call them to get it fixed they are rude on the phone. The level of incompetence that I'm seeing from "medical professionals" in this day and age is absolutely astounding. I don't know what's going on, but do people just not have any sort of intelligence anymore? I had an Rx sent in...it wasn't working and we needed to increase the dosage. We put in for that increase to my insurance...it was denied and said we needed a prior authorization. Very typical. So then I was told that we were denied and the next step is an appeal. So, I said go ahead and appeal it. I waited some days and called back to see if the appeal has been filed because the woman I was speaking to initially did NOT give me any sort of confidence that she was competent at all. She said she'd called the pharmacy and see what's going on and call be back that day. 2 days go by and she did not call me back (once again, TYPICAL!!) So doing my due diligence and calling back to check what's going on, I called on a Friday. Of course the office is closed on Friday. So now it's Monday and it's been 5 or 6 days since I was told I'd get a call back about this appeal. This morning I get a call back...and the woman only called to ask what my pharmacy was. Which I TOLD THEM THE FIRST TIME. So now I'm coming up on needing my meds, and this lack of professionalism and intelligence is starting to really worry me. I've been in TERRIBLE shape for weeks now, and THIS is how my situation is being handled. By incompetence. Now, the woman that called this morning said she's going to put in for a PA. I told her we did all this already. We need to escalate this to an appeal. She seemed absolutely clueless and still wants to call my pharmacy, who has NOTHING TO DO with approving this new dosage!!! It's my INSURANCE!! Appeal to the INSURANCE company!!! Why are so many people that work in medical facilities complete idiots? This is unacceptable. I have an extremely debilitating disease and I've been couch ridden for the last 2 weeks unable to move unless I want extreme pain...and my care is in the hands of total idiots. This is just unacceptable. I'm so tired of professional companies having absolute idiots handling their business. This has been going on for too long. Hire SMART people. And don't tell people you're going to do something, then have us have to chase you down a week later to find out what's going on!!! Unacceptable!! read more

I'm not sure about the other reviews. I've been in at least four times (my choice) and each experience has been good! I am so tired of the dermatology practices that want to push their skin care and multi level providers. I want to see a doctor and be treated. That's what I got! Went in for a skin check, wanted to have some moles/tags removed. It was painless and quick. It was so seamless I went back for some more and had this mole I thought a plastic needed to treat and the result was great - wow I wish I had done it years ago! They were very clear about what insurance would and would not cover. read more

I was treated for squamous cell carcinoma on my hand and basil cell carcinoma on my leg. After a week the doctor took out the stitches on my hand and within a day it opened up. Ultimately, it was necessary to go to the ER and obtain a prescription for an antibiotic. Hand had become infected, swollen and painful. The leg remains sutured. After 10 days it still is oozing fluid. Today I was scheduled for removal its of stitches. read more

I will not go back here. The doctor did a biopsy of a rash on my back. They called me with the results and were adamant that I have lupus. The "doctor" did not review that it could also be due to a medication. I was on an osteoporosis medication that is a parathyroid hormone and I told him I think the med. was causing it. Oh he did not listen and was adamant I go on a lupus type med. Long story short I hightailed to my rheumatologist and he did lots of blood tests, which this dermatologist did NO blood tests. I definitively do NOT have lupus and my endocrinologist took me off the med., the rash went away. There were other things I did not like about this doctor, I could go on,.... I went here because of all of the amazing five star reviews. I took my son in for a wart removal. They charged me $223.46 for my visit. All they did for the wart was put a tiny dab (seriously TINY!!) of a product they called "beetle juice" on it. They said in a few days the wart would start to blister. It never blistered or even changed at all. It didn't even get red. Then, a few weeks after our visit, I got a surprise bill in the mail asking for an additional $419.00. $642.46 in on this wart so far and it remains unchanged. I feel very taken advantage of. This doctor and staff can not get enough recognition. The office felt very calm and the staff was polite. The doctor was a delight. He was very knowledgeable with my situation and took precaution to make sure his assessment was accurate. Forefront dermatology and the entire team was fantastic. I had used Forefront where I moved from, but hadn't realized it was the same office here. They had all of my medical records and all check in and record filling out was done online in no time. They were quick, friendly and were able to catch a questionable mole I hadn't even noticed, biopsy, got the results and had it removed in two weeks.Check them out!! read more

Burned some spot off my face so he could charge me more money during a routine skin check. It was just a dry patch of skin that flaked off when I touched it. But he insisted on burning it off. I asked how much it would cost and they said insurance would cover it. Of course I didn't. read more
