John & his crew recently completed a big job in our yard, turning 1000 square feet of weeds, huge tree roots, buried concrete, rocks, and yards and yards of heavy excess clay soil into a simple but beautiful grass backyard.
My wife and I bought our house in part for the eclectic yard it had - large trees, a fairly new deck, a broken down but seemingly-repairable koi pond with 2 fountains, and two large groves of bamboo. Unfortunately it wasn't long before we realized the bamboo was taking over, the pond was irreparable and would be a hazard to our soon-to-be-born son. Instead of character what we needed was a usable backyard.
We're the types that enjoy doing things ourselves, and over the next two years we took out the trees, dug out the bamboo, removed the koi pond and fountains, and the deck that turned out to be poorly constructed after all. However, we reached a point where we needed someone to come in and finish the job.
We got several estimates. Despite being clear on what it was we wanted - a simple irrigated grass backyard - the estimates we received seemed to combine what we wanted with other things we didn't. John's estimate was for exactly what we wanted, nothing more, and he was able to give it to us on-the-spot (I'm not sure if that's common or not though).
There were hiccups, but I'm giving a 5 star review because in the end, the result is outstanding, and John or someone from Force would always let me know what would happen next. It's clear that John is very concerned with doing quality work, and aware that his company's reputation is to be made or broken on the work he does.
John was always courteous, helpful, communicative, and committed to getting the job done. I highly recommend him and Force. read more
