I initially was flexible and just accepted that this guy was gonna be late. I TRIED TO BE UNDERSTANDING. HOWEVER, I needed to set boundaries so that IT DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I had told him that it wasn't okay that he didn't commit to the time we agreed on which was 09:00. He apologized then went on to say that he wears many hats on this job, that he does a lot of the roles but that it wasn't an excuse. He also said that he's only been doing this for 6 months. Mind you, my partner and I gave this guy a chance to work for us, even with less experience! So just cos we gave him a chance, that doesn't mean we don't expect professionalism in all aspects! THEN, after I paid him $90 he didn't proceed to remind me of the landscaping measurements that were supposed to be taken LIKE WE AGREED ON OUR PHONE CALL LAST WEEK. He was supposed to measure the area in the backyard where the mulch was going to be exchanged for black rocks. He planned on doing this after finishing the yard maintenance BUT GUESS WHAT? When I called him he says, "You seemed very upset and was walking away so I wanted to give you your space."
