    Biscuit Breakfast menu

Apparently some folks in our society can't follow rules. They have expressed this by posting negative reviews and giving 1 Star reviews to a 5 Star establishment. I know I know you we treated badly or you were hung up on, yada yada yada. You are not savvy enough to read the rules and abide by them. You seem to be above following the rule in general and are put off when you are called out. I stand by my recommendation of "this place is the best pizza in the county" and probably far beyond. So try try try to just read and obey and possibly you will have as good as an experience as i myself have had along with hundreds more. LAUREN's (Winter so far) POP UP BISCUIT BREAKFAST If you are a breakfast person like me, you find and sharing great places. So just as my reviews of Forage Pizza in Forestburgh NY the fine folks there have done it again. Lauren the "Biscuit Queen" has decided to share her love of cooking and her famous Biscuits with the community. Posted below is the menu and I promise you shan't be disappointed. Start with the basic w/butter, homemade jam of the weekend, bacon and cheese, sausage and cheese you get the picture ..... Read the menu! The biscuits are light and fluffy whatever you put between them and the coffee is superb. I highly recommend you stop by on the weekend (check out their schedule) and give it a try. Whatever you have on them you will not be disappointed!

Had the Anchovies. Had the mortadella pizza. Damn good. They play great beats, outdoor area super chill. Will be back for sure

Nona dora, funghi and dido ante pies. Amazing range of flavors between these three...all delicious.

This place has one bad rating from someone who ADMITS they never even tried the food in the review. World doesn't revolve around you Karen, don't be so petty and punitive. Moving on...this is likely the BEST pizza place I have ever eaten. I've been to Prince St, Lombardi's, Patsy's, Joe's, Lee's Tavern, Emmy Squared, Roberta's and on and on and on. DO NOT skip this pie. Wait for it, call a third time, prepare ahead of time. WHATEVER, this is destination worthy food from a punk rock master of the craft. Anthony admits that he doesn't follow the rules for a traditional Neapolitan-style pie, but he understands them enough to break them the right way. The crust has structure, chew, and a little crispiness to it all while being super tender. And as far as the toppings go, his pies are pricey, but I don't understand how he makes a profit with the quality and generosity of his portions. Funghi was insane, LOADED with quality mushrooms without a crimini/button in sight. Finally, SUPER inviting folks. They admittedly don't seem like they are interested in just pandering to people expecting that Domino's customer experience. They are hanging out, enjoying their lives and running the business that they WANT to run, not the one ol' 1-Star Karen up in the reviews THINKS they should run. If you get it, you'll get it. And you'll get it FAST, because these pies cook up, reportedly in just 90 seconds. My family and I were all shocked at how quickly our order came out. Just make sure that you AT THE VERY LEAST try a bite of one slice at the many picnic tables they have set up against the woodsy backdrop before heading out. The pie is at its absolute best right out of the oven. In summation, ignore the Karen and check this place out while you still can. The hype is coming.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best fungi pizza I've ever had. And I'm a native New Yorker pushing 50. And we had it in winter with local organic mushrooms. In spring they will use foraged ones. We ate it so quickly I forgot to take a photo of it. But here are the house rules. And yes, you should eat the pizza THERE and not do take out or it will loose it's splendidness. The music is loud but fortunately it's great music. If you don't like it, you suck.

    Fungi, Dido Ante, and Burrata

Like most of the other reviews, this is a standout restaurant. The pizza is excellent, fairly priced for what you get, and the service is friendly and fun. We had the Burratta appetizer and the Fungi and Dido Ante pizzas, and really enjoyed them. The Burrata came with their sliced foccacia on the side which was equally delicious. I look forward to coming back next time we're in the area.

Ask the Community - Forage Pizza

Is the outdoor seating dog friendly?

Yes. It's not fancy, just a few outdoor picnic tables. We had our dog with us when we went there.

Does the pizza travel well for pick up?

Sort of. It definitely won't be gross by the time you get home but there is a WORLD of difference to stop for 20 minutes and eat it there. The pizza shines brightest when it's fresh, and is well worth the stop in. Plus the owners frown on taking it…

The pizza is always fresh, delicious, and consistently amazing. And if you haven't tried their Cookies & Cream Mousse Cake, you're seriously missing out. It's absolutely incredible and has become our favorite dessert. What really makes this place special, though, is the people. Every single person here is kind, welcoming, and always treats my three kids with so much love and kindness. They genuinely make us feel like family every time we walk through the door. Today meant even more to us. My nephew loves their Cookies & Cream Mousse Cake so much that he wanted it instead of a traditional birthday cake. I stopped in to see if I could buy a whole cake for his birthday, and when I came to pick it up today, they surprised me by giving it to us for free. That act of kindness meant more than they probably realize. It's not just about the amazing food--it's about the people behind it. Thank you for always making us feel welcome and for making my nephew's birthday even more special. We'll continue coming back, and I'll always recommend this place to anyone looking for incredible pizza and even better people.

Miss Monticello Diner: A Catskills Tradition…read more I recently stopped for lunch at Miss Monticello Diner with friends, continuing our annual tradition of dining there as we travel west to Pennsylvania. With a table of eight, we were impressed by how efficiently and professionally our server handled the large group. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the experience was a wonderful start to our journey. I ordered the lamb shank from the specials menu, served over a bed of rice and accompanied by matzo ball soup. Both were excellent. The lamb was tender and flavorful, while the matzo ball soup was comforting and well prepared. It was exactly the kind of satisfying, home-style meal I hope to find at a classic diner. What makes Miss Monticello especially memorable, however, is its history. The diner has been a community anchor and beloved Catskills landmark for nearly a century. Its roots date back to the late 1920s or 1930s, and it began as a classic silver train-car diner before evolving and expanding over the decades to serve both local residents and visitors to the Catskills during the height of the Borscht Belt era. For many years, the diner was operated by its original owner, Carl Salomon. In 1991, it entered a new chapter when Dimitrios "Jimmy" and Dimitra Nikolados, Greek immigrants, purchased the restaurant. Jimmy, who had immigrated from Chios, Greece, to Brooklyn in 1969, brought his New York diner experience to Monticello. Under the Nikolados family, the menu expanded to include popular Greek and Mediterranean specialties alongside traditional American diner favorites. Today, the family legacy continues through Jimmy's sons, George and Steve Nikolados, who have helped maintain the diner as a genuinely family-run establishment. George has also been deeply involved in the local community and went on to serve as Mayor of the Village of Monticello. Miss Monticello Diner is more than just a place to grab a meal--it is part of the history and character of the Catskills. The combination of good food, friendly service, family ownership, and nearly a century of local history makes it a worthwhile stop. A wonderful place to continue an annual tradition.

Even the bathroom was updated and clean. My bride and I hopped over from Resorts World. Took less than 10 minutes. We have the fondest memories of this area. Our server, or as we said back in the day, waitress, Evelyn, was friendly and fantastic. We had delicious omelets with potatoes and we each substituted muffins for toast. Gloria had a mushroom & cheese with a blueberry muffin. I had a veggie omelet with a toasted bran muffin which was toasted to perfection on the grill. Everything was tasty, hot and accurate. Evelyn was a crackerjack on coffee refills. And the coffee was way better than what was served at Resorts. This will be our goto whenever we are in the area!
