It's a thrift shop. All of the stuff in the store was donated to them, so the woman Ann who runs it could lighten up a little. Whenever she is in the store, you can feel the mood change as she yells at everyone. Not the most pleasant of places to browse around sometimes. That being said, it has a nice selection of clothing and household items, glassware and estate jewelry. It is all neatly arranged and they don't put a lot of junk out. It's worth a trip to go in and see what they have. You never know what you may find and it all goes to a great cause.

I was passing the store and stopped in with just 20 minutes left to shop and Simona told me not to rush at all. It gave me time to shop more thoroughly and I was happy to find a couple of designer pieces that were reasonably priced. She even stayed open a little later so I could make my final selections. The store has a wonderful selection of items including high end designers and she gets new inventory on a regular basis. Simona was incredibly friendly and helpful in showing me items that would appeal to my style aesthetic. I look forward to shopping here on a more frequent basis and recommend this store to everyone! Elena was awesome, and I had such a great time chatting with her- thanks to her, I enjoyed the Brussels Sprout appetizer at the Salt House restaurant. Just a few minor things. I personally did not feel like the cashier in the front of store was welcoming. Sure they helped someone who asked about their restroom, but I don't know that they ever greeted anyone who came in. I'm very sensitive to this when I'm shopping, because a warm greeting can mean a lot to unfamiliar tourists. I also felt like the clothes, to me, were on the expensive side. The price of $25 felt right for some shirts/blouses, but not for others, but it was a default price nonetheless. Replica band/concert tees were priced equally high, and some of them were beat up while not being vintage. Other items, I just felt like I could find at the thrift and get a better deal. I thrift a lot from many, many different venues, so I know this for sure. While I understand the beauty of a vintage store is that someone else did the shopping for you, the markup felt like a lot at times. You could spend hours in this store -- there's lots of vintage glassware, jewelry, home decor items and more to explore! The manager was friendly and helpful, and happy to answer our questions about the set in the window. As we took a closer look at it, he told us he'd give the person who was selling it here a call to see if she could do any better on the price. After taking a quick break to grab coffee next door and do some research, we found that the set was priced very competitively as compared to what we were finding online. We went back in, made a deal, and my friend went home with the most beautiful set of bar glasses complete with a gold holder to keep them all in place. 10/10, would visit again.

In particular, this shop has an amazing collection of glass wear. Tons of rare sets from France and England, many unique highball glass designs. The prices here aren't "cheap" but very fare for what they're offering (but much less expensive than shops like A Touch of the Past). I'll definitely be back and am already mourning the daisy highball glasses I didn't buy.

One of my favorite aspects of this shop is how the wonderful owner embraces the community and sells not just vintage treasures but handmade goods and local art. That includes but of course isn't limited to countless goodies such as handmade ceramics, jewelry, up cycled fashion and tie dye! The vibes are on point at the Groovy Collective and I highly recommend stopping in to support this incredible women owned small business!
