This one is cute, clean, and has a nice ambience but seating and space is a little limited in comparison. There are ample outlets! I have walked by For Five countless times and finally stopped in to try today. The vibe inside is upscale yet casual with many tables to sit in or outside. I see people working there a lot during the daytime. We had an americano, which I loved. They had a special strawberry matcha that was a hit as well. The pastries were delicious, specifically the almond croissant. The breakfast prices are a little pricy , but the portions are decent sized. Beautiful coffee shop in a great location but just not blown away by the product or the service. Coffee was good with non-fat milk - - met expectations. Barista was not at all excited about being at work today. A bunch of signs threatening to not provide refunds, etc. How many coffee buyers ask for a refund? Immediately makes you wonder about the product. Carrot bread was enormous but dry and not especially flavorful. My friend ordered a chocolate chip cookie. It too was more of a scone but not especially flavorful nonetheless. Had I just bought a cup of coffee this would probably be a four-star review. So I see a few reviews complaining about the prices. To be fair, their coffee prices seem high, but, I wasn't there for coffee, so, it didn't matter to me. I went into this quaint shop for a Grecian Yogurt Bowl and buttery croissant.....and they didn't disappoint. The yogurt bowl was graced with a generous portion of creamy, plain Greek yogurt, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, almonds and drizzled with honey. (I asked for no granola, which usually comes with it.) The tangy yogurt paired beautifully with the sweet honey and fruit. And, it was a sizable portion! Two could easily share a bowl! Been coming here for awhile, the coffee is super overpriced but it used to be one of the better spots to grab a coffee in that immediate area. I'm over it though. Over $9 for a 16oz iced vanilla latte with oat milk that you have to mix yourself. Yesterday my latte was basically oat milk - not well balanced at all. Stopped in for a work lunch. This is a coffee shop so I did not have high expectations, but the food was great! Came out quickly and the servers knew the teas so well. Seating is somewhat limited for trying to eat lunch here; there are only two tables that could sit more than two people. One of my friends (who have similar coffee preferences as me) raved about the cortados from For Five, so I stopped by last Friday afternoon when I walked by. I got the CAPPUCCINO (with oat milk) which was 6.79 after tax. Pretty pricy, but the espresso (a nice and balanced medium roast, I think) really shined through nicely with the oat milk. Definitely one of the best cappuccinos in this area, and I will stop by again in future for another cappuccino or try a cortado. I went out for a walk and discovered this place which I had never heard about. I now know it is a regional chain originated in NYC. I am somewhat of a coffee snub, and whenever I try a new coffee place I go directly to an espresso. This is the best way to truly determine how good the coffee is. I was not disappointed, my espresso was well balanced with cherry undertones. The crema on top was rich and just bitter enough to be delightful. If you order a flavor, make sure you ask for extra because it's never sweet enough you barely get a hint of the flavor syrup. -Pastries are not warmed up, nor do they ask if you'd like it warmed. I've always liked For Five coffee, but it's extremely pricey. I recently stopped in to try one of their cookies. I expected more from their cookies, especially since they are marketed so hard. I bought an America cookie, and it was extremely dry and hard. It lacked flavor, and was extremely hard to bite into. The staff wasn't very friendly either; I asked if the cookies had nuts since I'm allergic and the staff had no idea what I was talking about at first and had to get someone else. I find that odd when they make their own cookies, and probably should have a list of ingredients on hand if people ask about allergens. Sadly, I won't be returning to For Five. read more

Cool modern interior with numerous tables that are big enough to be good for studying or working. Nice vibe in here too- I could definitely see myself coming here to sip on a coffee and get some work done. Speaking of the coffee, it's pretty good. The only food I've tried are the cookies, and I do recommend them- they're huge, pretty soft, and come in many interesting flavors. In town for a convention, went to For Five on a recommendation. The cafe is super cute, warm toned, and modern looking. Love that you can sit at the barista counter, and all of the pastries look inviting! We went twice: my first time there I had a large (which is later learned was 24oz) iced latte, a blueberry muffin, and an avocado toast. Adding those things with my husband's order, I was a bit surprised by the total cost of our order, which was the same as what I would pay for 4 people at most other cafes I tend to go to. We decided on a second go of it with the intention of sticking just to their pastry/quick eats menu and had a much more wallet-friendly experience. We believe it was the spinach and mushrooms that were marinated for way too long. The Brussels sprouts and zucchini was our saving grace. - Dan Dan Noodles ($18.95): The first thing I tasted was SALT. I am not joking when I say the food here is really salty. Everyone that came with me here to dine also agreed. There was not much complexity in the sauce either, I saw sesame seeds, but that was overpowered by soy sauce and ginger. This did not taste like Dan Dan Noodles at all. - Roasted Peruvian Chicken Sandwich ($18.95): this was the best dish we had here but unfortunately even this wasn't really all that great. I enjoyed the Aja Amarillo sauce, but that was about it. The baguette was a little stale and tough. The chicken was also pretty dry and not all that flavorful. - Plain Croissant: this was delicious. I wished it was crispy, but I loved how buttery and soft the insides were. A very typical delicious croissant. The American Cookie had "chocolate chip cookie" middle section, which was also just as dry and crumbly. The Strawberry cookie had strawberry "cream", which tasted like pink mush in the middle with an artificial-strawberry taste. I think it would have tasted much better if the cookies were heated so I wonder if I'd have felt differently. I found it amusing that you are prone to getting blue coloring around/in your mouth if eating the American cookie, so be warned :D I will rate it higher than my thoughts on the cookie for the space. I was drawn in here by the cookie legend sign (see pic), which is an outstanding tool to get pedestrians salivating. They have more than 10 cookie varieties and the legend made me want to try them all. It was tough to settle on just two, but I got the Rainbow and American, each of which mixed a colorful sugar cookie exterior with some chocolaty/doughy interior. The cookies were definitely good! I would eat them again in a heartbeat. But they fell a bit short of my extremely high expectations based on the sign. The sugar cookie exteriors was kind of bland and not super chewy. The interior filling was delicious in both cases but very small compared to the giant cookies. I should have paid more attention and just changed my order but that is wild to me. 8 dollars makes sense but a little over 10 seems like robbery for a basic(with extra shot) latte when a larger latte is under 6! I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a blueberry muffin. I will say I also saw a fly on the pastries in the shop. The vanilla latte was so lacking in flavor even after I put a bunch of cinnamon on top. I know it's a vanilla latte but it tasted just like plain black coffee with milk, nothing special. It also wasn't served with any citrus notes so it just wasn't for me. The second time I went there, I had the lemon blueberry loaf - it was moist at the bottom and dry at the top. I thought maybe I had also been charged for my friend so I paid it and with a tip/tax it's almost $8. Um no. That was the charge for a bottle of iced tea that Safeway charges, a retail price, $2.49 for. So charging $4 over normal retail is fine for this shop? There were no signs that we could see (easily) for the prices for the beverages, so both of us suffered sticker shock at the register, but not much was open and we were thirsty. My friend paid $5.50 plus tip /taxfor a can of water. I spent a decade in retail, this is price gouging and I'll never go back.
