Very unprofessional. I had horrendous, stinging, burning eye pain with streams of tears. I was in paid for hours and made an emergency appointment at this doctor, who stopped me as I followed her to the exam room and began harassing me, talking about illegal privacy violations against me, and later illegally shared medical data on me, stalked me telephonically, and also provided a misdiagnosis, failing to help with the pain. It is a shame that after 16 years been a customer I had to go somewhere else. The optometrist's front desk lady did not return my calls, so I had to go in person to book an appointment. After booking I asked the optical location if I could bring an Rx from another place I was told yes, and they shared this info with the front desk lady she immediately called me to cancel my appointment, wow so rude. Her excuse was that she was too busy. For two weeks? Really? She does not have manners and does not care about customers. Bought glasses at Glen Burnie two years ago...not satisfied with the glasses or the bad service. These glasses are now "peeling"--they are transition glasses. Never had this happen and have worn glasses for over 40 years! The manager said...."that happens" and they could not do anything about it....How is this not a defective situation. They are kept in a glass case when not used...since this is a second pair the other pair is used all the time...these are not. Terrible company, customer service non existent. Sad that commission comes way before caring does. And, the manager could have cared less....He or the company will never see this ex customer again. read more

I have been coming to this place for years because I live nearby, but I was appalled by how rude Nina (receptionist) was who also refused to call my insurance company to obtain my subscriber ID after the insurance company said that they were not allowed to give it to members but only to the provider. I paid for exams out of pocket when they were covered because of this. She continued to make rude comments throughout the visit that would honestly probably provoke the wrong person to slap her for. She is very lucky that professionalism is always in my forefront, but even I was beginning to struggle with that by the end of my visit. I do agree with someone else's opinion that the Doctor here is not very warm and welcoming, but he gets the job done and isn't rude which is fine with me. I had a great conversation with Nancy, who I've been told is the manager at the exam side if this store, as she was very helpful when I spoke to her on over the phone before my visit. I would stop coming here if it weren't for them being so close to home because there isn't usually much of a selection for glasses, but I love the great staff that works on the glasses side of the store. They are always so knowledgeable and the service is great and calming after dealing with a not-so-great exam experience. I went to for eyes in Glen Burnie a month ago the eye doctor was very abrupt and not very pleasant I got a prescription for farsighted and nearsighted and bicycles I spent $900 for three pair of glassesees went back today the 25th of September 2021 because when I leave the words are blurry and I can't even see. I did with the other pair glasses I was informed today when I went to For Eyes in Glen Burnie that there was nothing they could do and I explained to the stay after I spend $900 I feel the doctor gave me the wrong prescription and you did not examine me correctly I was told to see another eye doctor cuz she's claiming I am early stage of Cadillac I would not recommend this place for I to Glen Burnie to anybody they are nothing but a rip off I do not go to the eye doctor there either I hope this review helps everybody stay away from this place read more

I've been taking my daughter there for a number of years and have never had a problem with her prescription not being right. If there is a problem with the frame or fit they usually fix it right on the spot. They actually fixed my glasses once and I didn't even get them at For Eyes. Dr. Woehlke ihas always been very good with my daughter and always explains things to us. Bill, the optician I think, (the person that measured her for her glasses) was very nice, very professional and very personable. read more

If you wear glasses and care about the quality of your lenses, don't go here. I have been back on four separate occasions and had 3 different lenses put in but still had the same poor quality of color around the edges of objects from a distance. It's called fringing or chromatic aberration and it is caused by making lenses from cheap plastic. I have worn glasses for 12 years and never had this issue. In the favor of For Eyes, they refunded my money and the people here are very nice. It's just that the lenses in their glasses are of poor quality. So, if you are sensitive to the quality of lenses that you wear, avoid this place. read more

Went back to For Eyes, Glen Burnie after many years. they Are in network with my insurance. Totally not happy with this place at all. It has changed drastically. It had been customer oriented. No long true. I felt like, just a number... that should have been a clue to go elsewhere, but I did not. I ordered glasses and after two weeks they are not in. I have called stopped by and am told, not in , period! no one knows or cares if/ when they may come in or where they are. Calls are not returned either. I plan to cancel this order if they do not arrive by tomorrow ... that should be fun.. they are more interested in selling and not the customer. Never would I recommend this place read more

The reason why there are so many stars is because of one particular employee, named Grace. She has been with For Eyes for 20 years and it really shows. There were two different doctors that performed my eye exams for contacts and glasses: both doctors were wonderful and seemed to be very good at what they do. Grace helped me choose glasses and I ended up spending nearly $700 (by choice, not because she was pushy). I have a wide face, and most eye glass frames cut me off 3/4 across my eyes, and I have an almost non existent bridge on my nose - so choosing frames can be exhausting. However, Grace jumped right in and knew right away which brands would be helpful, and which to avoid, and she has a very keen eye for fit and design that made me feel happy about my purchases. I ended up with a prescription pair of eye glasses, prescription sunglasses, polarized lenses to wear when I wear contacts and then contact lenses. Grace was very quick and accurate about the pricing, and what discounts I was eligible for - plus she just took really good care of me! I went from someone who can never find any eye glasses to having three pairs! She also advised me about the pros and cons of the Transition lenses. I can't say enough about Grace and this location.....I actually went on the company website and complimented her good service as well, because it really was outstanding. (P.S. I would not recommend getting an eye exam at this location. The doctor was snarky and very rude to me and my husband during both of our eye exams. The rest of the staff is nice and pretty helpful. If you're going here strictly purchase glasses, then this is not a bad place to go. But, if you're going for an eye exam then you definitely want to keep looking. read more

I'm not a fan of this location at all. I've had to deal with them for a few years because it's one of the few places that takes my insurance. The short haired woman that works in the front is rude. I asked her to adjust my glasses and she kept telling me I was wrong with the way I wanted them. I've been wearing glasses since I was 8. I called today to make an appointment and was told that someone would have to call me back, well that was 2 hours ago. I think I'm going to drive extra and go to a different location because this one can't get their stuff together. The doctor is great and so are his techs but the people that work in the front just ruin it for me and my family. read more

I've been to this location three times and each time the ladies who work here have been super friendly and helpful. They have gone above and beyond by adjusting glasses I've purchased at another retailer as well as offering to hold styles off of the floor for my quick next day appointment. I have been coming to For eyes for glasses since they opened, and since the first time i dealt with Grace, I was a customer of hers for life. that said, I make it a point to be sure that she is there before I come in because it can be hit or miss without her... Grace helps you find the best prices, provides excellent advice, researches whatever insurance benefits you qualify for, and just generally does everything possible to make for a happy customer. Every year to 18 months I come in and get 2 pairs of new glasses (always tinted, which is no extra charge, like some places). they've had some difficulty keeping a quality eye doctor in the back - but, as this review is for For Eyes, and not the doctor in the back, I won't allow that to affect the rating. This is my first time at this location and it was a far better experience than the one I had at a Balto city location some yrs ago. There was no wait for my appt at all. Service was v friendly & helpful. The prices are good but the fact that they don't charge for tinting makes the total price great. In addition, they accept insurances many other places don't. The frames selection is good and there were many to choose from to accommodate my v odd, skinny face. I've only done a yelp review one other time, but when service is this good it should be known to all. I'm going to pick up my glasses now, if for some crazy reason they curse me out or hit me over the head with an anvil, I'll adjust my review accordingly. read more

First off let me say that I have been a LensCrafters customer for the past 20 years and decided to give someone else a chance and I was very glad that I did. As soon as I walked into the store I was courteously greeted by the staff. my exam was completed by Dr. David Woehlke who I must say was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Next to help me pick out my glasses i was introduced to the store manager Grace Bronson who showed me a lot of patience and care in finding the perfect glasses for me, as a matter of fact she helped me pick out two pair.
