Needless to say, I have returned and am positively delighted. Ernie's store is immaculate and he carries such a great assortment of frames to suit every personality. I chose to stray from my comfort zone and chose a frame that has some spunk and color to it. I had not heard of this brand (MODO) prior to coming in to see Ernie! He selected these frames as I would have never done so myself and helped me come to my final decision. He always makes certain that my lenses are as thin as possible w all the extra coatings for long wear and scratch resistance. He refuses to accept mediocrity when it comes to eyewear and for this reason I have always been happy w my glasses. Ernie is such a wonderful man; he is patient and calm, and never pressures his consumers. He and his brother are such a treat. I also chose to get fitted for contacts here the same day and was very pleased. Working in healthcare myself, I have very high standards for providers. Dr. Bomse and staff are excellent. She never made me feel rushed, answered all of my questions, and had an excellent bedside manner. Her patient rooms are immaculate and spacious. I give this establishment 5 stars on all accounts. The entire team has always been professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. I see Dr. Shin, and she's absolutely wonderful. She has such a calm and kind bedside manner, really takes the time to explain everything, and makes sure I never feel rushed. You can tell she truly cares about her patients' comfort and eye health. I was told that my glasses would be ready in two weeks or sooner. After two weeks passed I called (7/7/2026) to check on my glasses. I was put on hold for an extended amount of time as they looked for my glasses in the shipment they just received and then told that the glasses should be ready next week (7/15/2026). I expressed concern that I was told they would be ready in two weeks, as I immediately suspected something was wrong. The person who spoke to let me know that glasses take 3 weeks and even if it was 2 weeks they were still within a 2-week timeframe because they "don't count weekends." This was an odd way to address my concern, but this must be how the practice operates. This may be something for new patients to consider. Once I get my glasses, I won't return to this practice as waiting almost a month for my glasses doesn't work for me. I would rather go somewhere else.

I told them that I would not be able to come in to get the contacts and asked if they could mail them to me. They did one better. The doctor called and said he would drop off the contact lenses on my front porch. Sure enough, 45 minutes later, Dr. Delgado arrived at our home and personally delivered my son's contact lenses. Needless to say, this doctor's office has our business as long as they are around.

I've never been inside of a Warby Parker, or really ever paid them much attention when in the mall. However, when I stepped inside I was like a kid in a candy store. With so many frames to try on, I was in face candy heaven. The experience at Warby Parker is not quite what I'm used to from my traditional eye doctors. Where I'm use to an associate taking their time and walking me through various glasses that best fit the shape of my face while I play model. The experience at Warby Parker was more self-led. They explained how the frames were categorized around the store and then pretty much just let me walk around until I was ready to pay. One associate did ask me if I needed any assistance, but that was about all. After trying on a ton of frames I finally narrowed my selection down to one pair and went off to an associate to pay. At my regular eye doctors, the associate would walk me through any special features for my glasses and how much they'll cost given my insurance discount. However, the young lady helping me forgot to ask me if I had insurance and it wasn't until after I paid, I remembered the insurance. This resulted in her having to cancel the order and redo it. I personally feel a discussion about insurance should be a given conversation with each customer, so I found that a bit odd. But otherwise, still a decent experience. I do plan on visiting Warby Parker again for my next pair of glasses, because they have some really cute frames. But I'll stick to my normal eye doctor for my exam and next time make sure to mention my insurance upfront.

I had been on a perpetual cycle with Pearle/America's Best type places that don't really work with you to tell you what you need. I was helped in selecting a frame that would be covered by my insurance, instead of being told to just pick one and charged through the roof. They also were able to fit my frames to my face right after I tried them on with the lenses. Great customer service. I would highly recommend.

Customer Since 2015:…read more 4/25/22: I, at one time really liked this business for my glasses. After seeing another optical specialist from my health plan, there was a discrepancy about the prescription performed on the glasses I purchased from Levin a year ago. I took them back to the Perry Hall office where they were done originally and explained my concern that the prescription check performed by my optical specialist on my pervious pair did not match what Levin had performed. I was informed by Melanie that there were no issues but she had no problem wanting to schedule me for an eye exam with their optician. I questioned as to WHY I should have another exam even after showing her the recent prescription from my recent optical specialist. After some thought, I agreed to accept the appointment ONLY after it was agreed that I would NOT be charged for the exam via conversational agreement with Melanie. After more though about the scheduled appointment, I later contacted the main office and spoke to Nicole, was referred to Gabrielle at the Harford Road office and explained the matter. I was asked to come in and my glasses were checked by David who was gracious to show me how the prescription was determined. Then, it was suggested by David that I schedule an appointment with their office(Parkville) and be seen by their specialist House on 4/25/22. I stated to both David and Gabrielle that I was already scheduled for an appointment at the Perry Hall office and that I would not be charged. David stated that in other words "he would honor that request'. I do not recall ever speaking to Gabriele about arrangements for making a claim with my Eye Plan for the appointment because I ONLY spoke to David about it at that point. On 4/25/22 I had the appointment with specialist House, thanked Gabrielle and David for being so kind and working with my issue. David also suggested that I'd come to the Parkville office for now on if it's not a problem going forward. With enthusiasm I said 'yes'. 5/2/22: I was notified by my Eye Plan via email that a claim was made by Levin for the 4/25/22 appointment. I then called the Parkville office and was explaining to Gabrielle about what was discussed about the appointment and why a claim was performed by their office. Before I could finish discussing my issue, Gabrielle accused me of not letting her explain why and 'she also stated that "I hurt her feelings, because they were trying their best to assist me". Before I said my last words, Gabrielle continued to say "If I don't like it here then I should go somewhere else". I stated that then 'going forward in the future that maybe I should then' because I was not about to get into a shouting match with her. My biggest concern is 2 things: 1. I stated to Gabrielle that IF she had informed me that a claim was being performed and the copay was being waived, then I would not have made the appointment as I stated to Melanie at the Perry Hall office. 2. Accusing me of 'hurting her feelings and stating that "If I don't like it here then I should go somewhere else"? NOTE: They all at Levin were gracious and kind to me in the beginning, but this issue with Gabrielle really changed my confidence in this business provider of services to me, the customer. AGAIN: I do not recall ever speaking to Gabrielle about arrangements for making a claim with my Eye Plan for the appointment because I ONLY spoke to David about it at that point. Otherwise, I would NOT have agreed to the have the appointment on 4/25/22.
