I came into Becks looking for some new soles (I've never purchased soles for shoes before) and Miles helped me out. He was attentive; respectful, kind, and listened. He worked with me for like 45 minutes, gave me a foot analysis and helped me try out a few different soles. Ultimately, the ones I thought worked in the store, I wore for few weeks and needed something else. Came back two weeks later - was helped by Carlos. Same thing - service was super attentive, listening to my needs; and helped me exchange the soles I bought two weeks prior for a new kind to try out for a few weeks. OKAY, just left my third visit; and I feel pretty confident in my newest soles (fingers crossed). Absolutely blown away by the attention that the rest of the staff gave me on my third and recent visit - Sarah, Gabriel, and WOW - Karla (thank you so much for your kindness and patience with me, Karla) . And bonus, they exchanged the previous soles -- so no money was lost. If you need any kind of shoe support; guidance; an attentive and non-judgmental expert -- GO TO BECKS!! This was one of the BEST shoe-shopping experiences I've had except for ones at their...old store! The young woman who helped me was YASS and she was excellent: personable, patient, knowledgeable, and informative. She gave wonderful attention even with other customers in the store. The return policy at Beck's has always been great. I left feeling confident in my new purchases but if they don't work out after lots of prancing around my house I know I can return a pair with no hassle. Their prices are fine for good quality shoes and companies and the selection for what I wanted was great. I have been going to Beck's since apparently 2009 (!) when they looked up my customer profile.

It was a bit crowded today for a Monday afternoon. I saw lots of adorable shoes, but nothing in particular jumped out at me. I got a kick out of checking out the socks with funny sayings on them. I love the way they decorate the shop with various vintage pieces tucked in between the shoes. The huge ceramic vases were made by local artist Mattie Leeds.

I never knew that I was flat footed and compensating with wearing shoes that were too big for me. I will now only buy wide shoes that are a size smaller. Jessica was super helpful and sought out the T-shirts by my description from IG posts, and saw the transaction through even though it took a couple of tries for my card to cooperate. Not long later, everything arrived just as I ordered it! On the other end- I needed to exchange one of the shirts and Elfin was key in making that go as smoothly as possible. They even texted me photos of the shirt display so that I could select the best color. Sure enough, the perfect exchange was made, and they even included some Pacific Wave stickers! So great! I wish I lived there so that I could impulse buy their sick designs on the regular!

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered at this store…read more I came in to purchase some apparel for my children, and my daughter picked out a shirt that was on clearance. As I was checking out, the cashier informed me that all clearance sales were final. I acknowledged that and told him that was fine. The problem began when the cashier struggled to remove the security sensor from the shirt. After several unsuccessful attempts, he decided to use wire cutters to remove it while it was still attached to the shirt. My husband even pointed out that doing so would likely damage the garment. Despite the warning, the cashier continued and ultimately tore a sizeable hole in the armpit of the shirt. At that point, we understandably told him we no longer wanted the shirt since it had been damaged by an employee during the checkout process. To our disbelief, the cashier insisted that "all sales are final." I explained that the shirt was not damaged when we agreed to purchase it and that the damage occurred because of their employee's actions. A manager was then called over and made the equally absurd statement that clearance items are on sale because they are defective. The shirt was not defective when we selected it--it became defective because their employee damaged it while attempting to remove the security tag. Rather than taking responsibility for their mistake, they told us we either had to find another item of the same price or take the ripped shirt. Their complete lack of accountability and customer service was shocking. In the end, we found another shirt, sparing them from having to refund the $18.95 they seemed so determined not to return. The entire situation could have been resolved with a simple apology and common sense. Instead, we were met with excuses, poor service, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Based on this experience, I will never shop here again and would not recommend this store to anyone.

From the outside the store doesn't look appealing but once you enter it's like a whole different realm . Customer service is there to help you with any questions. I found a black colored SC windbreaker that I am happy with. I hope it last because the logo doesn't seem like it can take wear and tear . Crazy the shopper in front of me in line was from Berlin , Germany so you know that this town is made for tourists and memories . Tons of variety of boards here on display. I didn't see too many SANTA CRUZ t shirts though you gotta go to the physical boardwalk store and purchase them there or at Capitola mall. I am glad I discovered this place while, there is btw plenty of parking across the street free.
