This place is a RIP-OFF. I repeat, RIP-OFF! I bought these pair of Nike Dunks one time, which was retailed for $80 or $85. They charged me $90, tax-free. When I asked why that was, the guy had the dumbest reply - "That's the retail price. This is our price". The guy clearly just wanted to get it over with and get his job done. Whatever. Ended up buying the shoes but wouldn't ever go back there again.. They don't have a good selection of shoes anyway.

Not a bad place location. I expected it to be worse with the reviews I read but the staff was friendlier than expected.

've been shopping at Snipes on Steinway for years. Easily spent thousands here -- from Jordans to…read morestreetwear, it's been my go-to. That ends today. I came in on a tight schedule to grab a pair of sneakers. The store was nearly empty. I asked Billy, one of the employees, if they had my size. He took over 15 minutes to check. I told him I didn't even need to try them on -- I just needed to buy and go. Still, he disappeared downstairs for another 25 minutes. I politely asked another associate -- a short, heavyset woman with unique glasses -- if she could check on Billy. Her response? Aggressive attitude and, "Do you have a problem?" Yes -- now I did. When Billy finally came upstairs, he threw the box of sneakers at me and said, "I don't give a f**k." Then, it got worse. He called me a tranny -- a disgusting slur -- and loudly demanded, "Where's your husband at? I'll beat him up too." That is verbal abuse, discrimination, and completely unacceptable behavior from a retail employee -- or any human being. No one deserves to be treated like this. This isn't just bad service. This is harassment. To management and Snipes corporate: Your staff's behavior isn't just unprofessional -- it's dangerous. Check your security cameras. Hold your team accountable. And don't let this kind of hate operate under your roof. Until then, I'm taking my money -- and my loyalty -- somewhere else.

I went to this location to return a pair of sneakers. When I got there, the employee told me they…read morecouldn't take the return because they don't carry the size in the store and that he would get fired according to his district manager because of it. He advised me to go to another location where they carry my size and so far. I've worked in retail before, and I've never heard an excuse like this where someone could get fired for making a return. So I took his advice and went to another location where they did take the return and gave me proper service, which is why I am writing this review letting people know not to shop at this location, no matter what.

Well this location blows that tiny store away, so much more variety and options! They have expanded their accessories & clothing variety vastly. So many cute dresses and blouses. I ended up purchasing some cute stuff for Coachella & the sales people were very knowledgable & fashion-forward. I was even offered a drink or glass of water from their new flower wall bar. Check this store out it's really cute!

So, firstly, I want to say that this place did intrigue me, and I am VERY picky when it comes to…read moreshoes. Because of this, I will give 2 stars. Now moving on to why 3 stars have been knocked off.... The customer service here is absolutely HORRENDOUS. I was looking at a pair of "creepers" that were absolutely beautiful and was about to ask if they have it in my size when I was rudely approached by a saleswoman (didn't catch her name, but she was in her 40's, I would say), who exclaimed "Um, that is our display!!! You can look at those shoes here!", as she waved her hand to a shelf. Her tone was so horrible that even her colleague, who looked a little younger, started giggling and smirking. I immediately walked out, took three steps down the block, only to think to myself to go back and let her know that I did not appreciate her statement, her tone or the way she handled herself in any means with an interested customer. When I did, she quickly put on a fake smile and passive-aggressively stated "Okay, have a nice day!", as she exaggerated a wave at me, with her friend trying to hide her laugh. Pretty sure I graduated high school years ago... It's unfortunate for the store to be represented like this because my friends and I have been coming here for a while because it's a nice shoe store that is right in our neighborhood. But after this incident, we will all be taking our business elsewhere...
