Everyone is so helpful and they have a great selection. The woman was so patient with my 13 month old to get fitted for his first pair of sneakers. They have shoes for kids and adults plus some socks and a few hats (my older son picked out a great Mets hat). They have a lifelong customer in me. read more

I had the best experience here today. I had originally purchased a bunch of shoes for my son online and he ended up getting ingrown nails at a year old :( my poor little guy that's when I knew I needed to come to the professionals. This place was highly recommended by all the mommy groups on Facebook. I went it and was greeted warmly. They measured my babies foot and turns out he was wearing sneakers that were two sizes too small. Owner even discounted the shoes for me and then gave my baby a balloon. Would highly recommend to any parent in Queens! read more

Specialty sizes for kids. Please don't ever close! I have a hard time finding XXW for boys.

I was at this shoe store this week with my two children. It was our second visit to the store. There is a High School student who works there. She helped us this time and on our previous visit. She devoted her energy entirely upon us and created a great experience. We are very happy with the shoes we purchased and the friendly, professional atmosphere that young woman created. read more

Da Bar Too Shoes - Shoe Stores Near Me - Maspeth, New York

This is a shoe store with service and attention that you can't find anywhere else. The workers are friendly and provide personal service, from sizing of the foot, to putting the shoe on, and ultimately deciding if the shoe fits properly. This is the place I always go to for sneakers because there is a wide selection and I know the shoe I'm purchasing is the perfect fit for me no matter what brand. My cousin's also purchase their school uniform shoes here. They have never experienced any scuffing or wearing out of their shoes; they always last them the full year! read more

I wanted my baby's first pair of shoes to be fitted professionally and I'm so happy I met Lori and Mike from Da Bar Too. Lori was super patient and helpful with all the FTM questions I kept asking. She wanted to make sure my son was comfortable taking a few steps in his new shoes and didn't have any orthopedic issues. We wound up getting a pair of Stride Rite boots to support his ankles, a pair of baby Nike sandals for the summer, and a pair of Brooks for me. read more

Heard great things about this place from a parent blog and they were correct! Fast and friendly; our son was fitted and we found shoes in under 10 minutes! Amazing! read more

Don't expect to be able to return your shoes or sneakers even if you just bought them!!!! I don't know how this place has 2 stores with the level of incompetence I've witnessed. Go to Mo's or sports authority, their idiots make these idiots look like look like brain surgeons. I am only giving one star because I have too, I would not have given them any stars!!! read more

Local and I try my best to support local business. Winter 2014 has brought a ton of snow to NYC and my daughters foot is growing so fast. After the first snow storm she says, "Daddy my snow boots are tight!" So I decide that after school we will head over to Da Bar for snow boots. We walk in and there is no one in the store except a young lady and a gentleman who was on the phone and eventually walked into the back room. The young lady pointed out the snow boots and indicated that there was a 20% - 40% sale on snow boots. My daughters picks out a pair but before the young lady goes back to get them she measures her foot. Wow - I am thinking that there measuring tool is just broken. She says ok she is a 12.5 on one foot and 12 on the other so I'll bring a 13. I say no - bring a 12. Needless to say the 12 were roomy. Comfortable and not too big but big enough that I won't be back this winter for boots. The place has a decent selection of shoes/sneakers. Pricing and selection is obviously better at a bigger store but for a quick buy this works. We visit Da Bar once a year for uniform shoes and it is always a struggle to get the size that we want vs. what they are saying it should be. A little roomy is ok - kids looking like clowns - not so much. Be weary of the size and of course purchase the size you feel is the right one. read more

Great store!! Bought 2 pairs of shoes and I was treated like a king. They brought every color of the 2 pairs I was looking into. Love this store I don't know what the other guy is talking about. They even order pairs for people when they don't have them in stock I would give them more stars if I could!! read more

The staff here greeted me and treated me very well from the moment I walked in the door. I had a pair of shoes I needed to exchange and they helped me until I found exactly what I needed. Great selection, prices, and service. They have shoes for everyone and all sizes read more

Great choice of children's footwear. I purchased two pairs of Stride Rite for my 1year old. Made the mistake and ordered online before knowing his exact size and with. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Couldn't agree more in supporting local businesses :) read more

A colleague and I went into this neighborhood shoe store looking for some boot and shoe laces after eating at a local establishment. We were first greeted by a nice young lady who seemed to want to help us. However, a diminutive fellow came out of the back and was extremely rude to me and my colleague. There was no reason for this rudeness and I was taken aback by his abruptness in stating that he had no shoe laces or boot laces when in fact we could see they were hanging on the wall behind the counter. I am at a loss that this man would treat customers so badly. I frequent other stores in the neighborhood but I will never frequent this store again. His acumen to customer service was appalling. I cannot recommend a store that would treat its customers with disdain. I then when across the street to the local hardware store where I had two keys made. The guy in that store was so friendly and since it was the first time getting keys made there, he gave me a break 2 keys for $3 instead of the usual $2 each. What a difference between two store across from each other. One I will definitely give them my business and the other will never get my business. STAY AWAY from DA-BAR TOO located at 70-05 Grand Avenue. A MUST AVOID unless you want to be INSULTED!!! read more

I have been shopping at Da Bar Too Shoes for years for my children's school shoes. This store has the most amazing customer service, they are currently the only place that sizes children accurately and I can rely on them for proper fit as shoes are very important for a child's feet. Their prices are extremely fair and they always have a great selection of merchandise on sale to choose from if you are looking for a good deal. They always have sizes in stock and if they do not, they will special order for you which I find to be extremely gracious of them. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I am so grateful that this store exists. I even find stylish name brand sneakers for myself such as Nike and Asics. I have raved about them to my friends and family for years and will continue to shop there for my entire family. Thank you so much Da Bar Too Shoes for providing such great service. read more
