Beyond the outstanding academics, my daughter has thrived socially and emotionally under the guidance of amazing, caring teachers and school staff who always go the extra mile. The school community (teachers, administrators, and families) pour so much time and resources into making the school an amazing place to be, through fun events, educational field trips, and engaging curriculum. I was so nervous when we first started because we had been at the same daycare downtown since my daughter was 4 months old and to have to start at a brand new school where we knew nobody felt daunting. I was so relieved and surprised to find that by the end of her kindergarten year, my daughter had friends and I had found a great group of parents who I felt at home with. Del Dayo got a new principal in 2025 and the transformation has been amazing. The teaching staff are thriving, she makes it her goal at the start of every school year to know every student by name and they are always excited to see her, and the lines of communication with parents are always open. You can tell she really loves the job and the school and that makes a world of difference. Students can test for the Rapid Learner program at the end of 1st grade and honestly, we didn't even bother testing for it because we love the school so much and wouldn't want to leave.

We have been at Del Dayo for seven years, and I truly could not imagine a better school or…read morecommunity for our family. The academics are excellent, and our kids have been supported and encouraged throughout their time here. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the kids. We have had teachers reach out in the evenings and even on weekends simply because they sensed something might be off and wanted to check in. That kind of care means so much as a parent. We are also incredibly fortunate to have an involved PTO that works closely with the school to provide additional opportunities and support where it is needed. There is a real partnership between the school and families that makes Del Dayo special. More than anything, Del Dayo feels like a community. Our kids have grown up here, and we have made friendships and memories that will stay with us long after elementary school. We truly could not have asked for a better school, community, or neighborhood for our kids.

I attended here 2nd-7th grade. Do NOT enroll in this schools middle school, they have 3 teachers who have to teach 70 kids. They also do NOT know how to handle bullying at all, I was relentlessly bullied here, switching classes didn't do anything because of how tight knit every class is with each other. They also have a terrible special education curriculum. They know how to handle the kids but not teach them in ways thatll help growth. This is an OK school if you have a young kid but when you get to Upper El and above they get lazy and do care (grades 4-8th) and they also group up 4-6th graders in one class which makes teaching difficult as everyone receives the same kind of teachings.

My daughter is in the 7th Grade and I will say it will get quite pricey once you child gets into 7th and 8th grade is when they take really nice trips to Florida and Southern Cali etc.. Overall I really like this school for my daughter parents are very involved in school activities and I can't believe how well mannered the students are. I would highly recommend Sierra Oaks if you have high expectations for your child's education. my daughter is really happy she goes to this school.

Be all in because now we're in a situation where we're being harassed by another student's parents. I come to them with my concern about safety and instead of addressing that concern they are sympathetic towards the aggressors. Certain staff like to pretend to mentor the kids (when they're not even qualified to do so) just for whatever concerning discovery made not to be shared with the parent. They gossip about rumors instead of putting an end to em. I'm so sick of this place. The brunt of my negative experience is because of their doing. They put it all in motion for it to happen.
