I was very pleasantly surprised by the format and really enjoyed getting to know our group over the course of the 4 sessions. The class was informative and inclusive. Janet and Rachel's love for what they do and deep knowledge birth and labor was informative and heart warming. Janet and Rachel are very careful to underscore that each birth experience is unique, and that choices are personal. They present well rounded information and resources that helps guide you rather than tell you something is right or wrong. I especially liked the guest speakers (a midwife from Kaiser and a lactation consultant) who spoke about their practices and answered questions. I feel so fortunate to have found the Birth Co-Op. I feel more informed going into my birth, and know that I have an amazing resource in Janet and Rachel as questions come up in my pregnancy and after the babe arrives.

I'm a FTM and didn't know how to do so many things.. even change a diaper.. , so this was definitely a huge help. Diaper changes actually come very naturally now, after doing it so many times lol.. and Rachael did put my mind at ease on so many things I had questions on. Even on finding other services like doulas/midwife's/prenatal/postnatal masseuses etc.. very well connected. Thank you!

At the 1st official lesson, she had him jumping in the pool and flipping over to his back to float COMPLETLEY UNASSISTED! I seriously can't believe how fast she taught him! In full disclosure, in Summer 2023, we enrolled him in a water wings class for 2 months. In Summer 2024, we signed him up with a different 1 on 1 private instructor for a few months. So, my son had familiarity with swim lessons, but he had never been able to float or do much of anything on his own in the water. I mean, he is still working on blowing water bubbles becuase he hates putting his face in the water. So, to see Allyson *magically* had him doing all this with 2 lessons... I mean, I have no words to express my appreciation! She knows what she is doing! She is teaching life saving skills first! And she has a totally laid back and straight forward, no nonsense demeanor that I just respect so much! After the trial lesson, I bought a 10 lesson package and I'm looking forward to all that she is going to teach my son this summer!! Thank you, Allyson!!

From the very first trial lesson, it was clear how skilled and patient she is. Our son loves being in the water but was uncomfortable floating on his back and even cried during that first session. By the second lesson, he was confidently floating on his back--something we honestly didn't expect so quickly. We've been working with Allyson for nearly six months now, and the progress has been incredible. She has a calm, encouraging approach that builds trust and confidence, and we would highly recommend her to any parent looking for an exceptional swim instructor.

If you want to pursue a career in the arts, where you learn the ways of the old masters, and by…read morethat I mean learning how to REALLY draw, how to REALLY paint, how to REALLY sculpt then LAFFA is the school for you. No school now days will teach you how to draw and paint like Rembrant, Bougerou, Ingres, In fact many art schools now days do not teach you the most important concept of drawing and that is that in art learning is life long it does not end with a degree. LAFFA emphasizes that. Furthermore many art schools focus simply on art being just paint splattered on a canvas or some weird as hell sculpture that sells for millions and where the "artist" i.e. like KOONs and Andy Warhol do not even do any work at all. LAFFA is very much like how people back in the ECOLE Beux arts were taught, or how those in the high renaissance were taught, in the atelier style, by the end of one class you will have learned how to truly draw which is the basis of all art! The accreditation, accreditation is a good thing, however it will not mean you will magically teach you how to draw and paint, much like some assume a degree means. no a true artist has YEARS of practice and does not stop because a true artist knows that to be able to truly know that they are good at something, they must remember they always know nothing like the renowned cellist Pablo Casalas once said when he was asked at 93 why he still practiced the cello 3hours a day" i think i am finally improving" that is what you will see here TRUE MASTERS of the lost art of drawing and painting, modern day Bougerou's, Rembrants, Franz Hals, Titian, Ingress etc. Who embody the true spirit of the lost arts which many so called art schools sans Cal Arts and 3 kicks do not teach today. One teacher i highly recommend taking is Rey Bustos, he is harsh, he is firm but his passion will drive you. He is truly an amazing instructor.
