The Good Feet Store - Over 300 arch supports

I just took my Dad, who started having some trouble with his feet recently, to the Avon Good Feet…read morestore. Jenn was phenomenally helpful, knowledgeable and informative, kind and not at all pushy. I bought my Dad the Brooks shoes which have already helped him. I do like the idea behind their system. It is a 3 part, 3 insert system designed to help the feet to heal. That said, due to my Dad's advanced age (92) and the fact that his foot issue just started, I think it's best he see a Podiatrist 1st. To make sure there isn't something more serious going on in the foot, bones, muscles or joints. Jenn was okay with that and even recommended a podiatrist. Overall based on pur experience I give The Good Feet Store in Avon a high rating. If we do go with their insert system and my Dad follows through daily and consistently then I truly feel it will be money well spent to relieve his pain and improve quality of life.

Good Feet Store, Avon CT - Deceptive Advertising, Fraudulent Practices…read more One star is one too many. The Good Feet Store (GFS) employs purposefully misleading advertising that lures customers into its stores and then uses deceptive, and even unethical, sales practices based on the psychology of selling and designed to convince customers to purchase an exorbitantly priced three-step system of arch supports. Additionally, the GFS has a "no-return/no-refund" policy that is unfair to the customer and inconsistent with the common practice of other merchants, then using it to defraud customers. A brief summary of my experience follows. I went to the GFS because I needed to replace a pair of walking shoes having seen several of their ads on local TV. * Through its well-orchestrated sales experience, the GFS persuaded me to purchase nearly $1900 of expensive merchandise, including the $1600 arch support system designed to resolve medical issues that I did not have - no arch or alignment problems. I was sold products I did not need and could not use. * I attempted to return in less than 24 hours later after only an hour's wear because it was causing discomfort. The manager cited the GFS's "no return/refund" policy which I was not aware of until after I attempted to make the return. I had merchandise that had no value for me and the GFS had my $1900. * The GFS used its fraudulent practices to make even more money from my transaction. After my unsuccessful attempts for over a week to get a refund, the store manager finally allowed me to return the merchandise, because she could resell it, but only for a store credit. However, in addition to the very expensive arch support system, the GFS only sold five styles of footwear and a very limited set of low-price items most which are 'accessories' to complement the arch support system that I had returned. As a result, there were no products that I could use. So, now the GFS would be able to make money on the resale of the merchandise I returned and also by keeping my $1900. This is a very lucrative type of transaction for GFS. If this is not fraudulent, it is certainly unethical and not in "good faith." The GFS does an incredible job of selling "hope" to often vulnerable customers and making a quick sale. Capitalizing on customers' trust in local businesses based on their many years of experiences with honest and ethical retailers, the GFS readily takes advantage of the consumer misassumption that the GFS is operating under the same standards. I was not alone in my abhorrent experience with the GFS. There are many examples on web sites such as Google, Yelp, Reddit, and TrustPilot where customers have written reviews or made claims about the GFS practices. I spent over two weeks trying to resolve a problem with the Avon Good Feet Store (GFS) and did not get my refund of nearly $1900 until after I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the BBB interceded.

There are approximately 45 stores and restaurants; there were plenty of parking and even a playground. I find myself here quite often so I figured I'd give it an update. It's a beautifully maintained shopping plaza that reminds me of Garden City in Cranston, RI. On a beautiful day, it's a great place to walk around. They also hosts special events throughout the year. I enjoy dining at Mercato, 110 Grill, Flatbread Pizza, Panera Bread, and Jefferson Fry Company. My kids love Barnes and Noble and Walter's Boundless Playground. If you need to do your grocery shopping, there is a Shop Rite. There are plenty of shopping that can be done at Kohl's, Old Navy, Dick's Sporting Goods and more. There is a new candy shop called The Nutmeg Sweet Shoppe. If you want to attend a cooking class, book a spot at Sur La Table. There are a variety of businesses and many more businesses are being added. It's located on Route 44 and going in and out of the place can be chaotic sometimes, but there are traffic lights. Overall, it's a great place to shop and dine.

Once you pull in, there's an immediate four way stop sign intersection that can require the most patience of all, because taking turns is an unknown concept to some people. But once you're in, there's a good distribution of restaurants to stores. Shop Rite, Panera Bread, Barnes and Noble, Ben & Jerry's, Kohls, Chipotle, the Paper Store.... A lot of these places have been around for years. When a shop does go out, a new one comes in pretty quickly. There is a lot of parking available, although some is further than others. Kohl's has a large lot to itself entering on the second floor. The holidays can get chaotic in all parking areas, so if you must join the fray be kind.

Kohl's is known for its value and selection of brands for the whole family. They also have great sales and coupons; the more you purchase the more coupons you get. Also, it's a convenient place to shop because they offer online shopping, in-store shopping, and they have an app. You can even do Amazon returns there. I've always enjoyed shopping at Kohl's because the prices are usually good. I'm a bargain shopper so you will find me at the clearance racks. The best time to go is during the holidays (fourth of July, black Friday, end of summer, etc.) There is something for everyone and a great place to shop for gifts too. I like this store because it's two levels, organized, clean, and has great parking. There are escalators and an elevator. It's conveniently located in the Shops of Farmington. The service was good. They carry good merchandise and their prices are usually quite affordable with abundant sales. We liked the clothes we found, and even one likable dress that wasn't on sale was not priced too high. It's a good sized store, so you'll do some walking to get to the men's and children's sections. There's also a second floor easily reached by escalator or elevator, and you'll find everything here from clothing to electronics, from jewelry to shoes. We did have difficulty find help, however. When we did, they were helpful, but there didn't seem to be a lot of them. There's also a large Sephora store within Kohl's that seems to cater to grown-ups. Lots of parking outside -- a good stop for us at the Shoppes at Farmington Valley.

I don't even need to mention the quality of the clothes, but what truly won me over is the way the team treats me -- they make me feel very special! Subject: Urgent Complaint - No Response to Address Correction Request…read more Dear LOFT Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment with the lack of response to the three emails I sent regarding an urgent issue with a recent order. Within 15 minutes of placing the order, I noticed that the shipping address was incorrect. I immediately sent three separate emails requesting that the address be corrected before the order was processed or shipped. Despite the time-sensitive nature of the request, I never received a single reply. I then spent nearly an hour on hold waiting to speak with someone, only to be told that the fix was "very easy" and could be handled once the tracking number was received. What was not mentioned at that time was that it would cost me $22.98to make that change--a fee I find unacceptable given that I made every effort to correct the error in a timely manner and was ignored. Now, the item is being shipped to Florida, while I am located in New York. This situation could have easily been avoided if someone had simply acknowledged and acted on my emails. I am requesting an explanation as to why no one responded to my repeated attempts to contact your team. As a long-time customer, I find this experience very disappointing and not in line with the service I expect from LOFT. I look forward to your prompt response. I will be sending this letter to Yelp if no response Doris Maccarrone I have not heard from them!!!!
