Went to Mickey Finn's to look for some gloves to run in. For years, they've profited from selling urban wear, a style embraced and largely supported by Black men. Yet, despite this, they've never made the effort to greet you, acknowledge you, or even look you in the eye. Being busy is one thing, but when you have four employees standing at the entrance and not one of them speaks, it's beyond disrespectful--it's deliberate. This is a good place to go for law enforcement/security who need work boots- and also work boots for construction or other rugged jobs. There is also a large selection of outerwear such as hiking boots. They have a good selection of boots, gloves, sweaters, and shoes. The young girls they have working as cashiers sometimes are clueless and put off. (This is the building on the right side) The building to the left side has an enormous selection! There are even more items inside of this store and they have a cute selection for kids (great gift ideas and prices for kids.) We got our nephew the cutest John Deere backpack that he is obsessed with here. Overall a pretty solid place to shop. read more

I desperately needed replacement Rockys because the sole of one of my boots had detached and I needed to attend a ceremony that day. Several of my co-workers recommended Mickey Finn's but I had never heard of them. As I was driving there, I called to confirm they had my size in the boot I was looking for. When I arrived, they had my replacement boots set aside waiting for me. And they helped me with a return of my defective boots to the manufacturer. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. And they really came through for me when I was in need. Very, very disappointed in this establishment. My husband has been buying his clothes and shoes from Mickey Finns for 20+ years. He spends around $1000+ a year shopping here for his clothes and shoes. Up until a week ago. He purchased expensive hikers less than three months ago barely wore them as he has to wear steel toe shoes at work Mon-Fri and the sole fell off. He called to explain what happened to only get a young girl on the phone inexperienced in customer service, that was rude. So he decided to bring the shoes back and ask for the manager he dealt with in the past named Scott. Before he could speak "Scott" with a negative attitude said "what do you want?" I'm sorry but right there, THAT is inappropriate behavior/reaction from a manager. My husband disregarded this attitude he received from the manager and went to the gentlemen who sold Him the shoes showing him what happened. The gentleman was very polite and admitted they needed to replace the shoes as you could see they were barely worn. We are grateful for this senior sales associate as he came through for us and insisted that Mickey Finns replace the shoes, which they did. They also offered him free laced but at check out he didn't receive them. All I can say is I WILL NOT allow my husband to spend another dime in your store. My husband needed work boots. I don't like spending a lot, but when it comes to our comfort at work, our feet deserve the best. Store has a basic feel, but the selection is amazing, lots and lots of boots to choose from. The service was top notch, the young man helping us was very attentive. We also managed to find a cute shirt for our friends son on the way to the register. For those of you that don't know, Mickey Finn's is essentially a hometown REI or EMS. It's a great little store for any of your outerware needs if you are an outdoor enthusiast. If your job requires you to be outdoors you'll be able to find whatever you need as well. The prices at Mickey Finn's will generally beat any of those at REI. EMS or even on the internet for the most part. I have picked up a number of North Face items here as well as various boots, gloves and carhart bibs and full suits and found that their prices are generally 10-15% lower than I can find anywhere else (including internet if S&H are included). If you go at times when there is a sale you can really make out. Don't go to the larger chain places, check this place out for your outerware. read more
