I went to Foot Solutions in Caldwell 2 months ago. I viewed their website and after 4 years of struggling with plantar fasciitis, including painful injections, years of physical therapy, and a plantar fasciectomy, I hoped they were the answer I was looking for. They claimed to analyze your feet, the way you stand & walk and come up shoes that were made for your individual problem. I stood on a scanner & she measured my feet. It was nothing special. I tried on Hoka sneakers that Jeannie recommended & they felt pretty good, at least for those few minutes, but they did not have the color or the size I was looking for. She told me I would have to order them, but leave a $50 deposit, which is ridiculous, but I did & placed the order. When I asked about shoes, the other woman in the store suggested she show me a pair of Finns. I had never heard of them & they were not pretty, but they insisted they were great quality and would help my condition. I discussed with my husband whether or not to purchase both since I am so limited because of the pain in my feet. I asked about the price of the Hoka's, they were $130. This is expensive, but I felt it would be worth it if it helped. Then I asked about the Finns, they were $375. I was not willing to spend that kind of money so I told her to forget the Finns. They went on to try to sell me on the shoes, but I still said no. Jeanie told me the sneakers would take a week to 10 days to receive them. A few days later Jeannie called me & told me that the sneakers were on backorder. She said there was another pair of sneakers that were similar & that she would send me a picture. Once receiving the picture, I realized I could not tell if they would work so I asked her if it would cost me another $50 to order those as well & she said no. She then said she would order both sneakers & I would choose the one I liked when they arrived. She said she was ordering the Hoka's in a size wide. I asked why would you order them in a wide when my feet are narrow. She measured them. Anyway, she said she would order both & let me know when they would be in. I called a week later & they were somewhat annoyed at my phone call telling me that they told me that they would call me when they arrived. I called back about a week later, & again they seemed annoyed, reminding me that they were on backorder. I called about a week and a half later and they apologized, but again stated they were not in yet. I called a week after that & they said annoyed again that they would call me. Later that week they called me & told me that the sneakers I ordered were in & listed their hours. This was a month & a week later. I went later in the week with a friend. When I walked in Jeanie yelled in an overly friendly way "Hello Dee" & "they said the sneakers would be great for your hip hop class". I do not know who "they" were, but I was happy to try on my new Hoka sneakers. Jeanie was busy with someone else so another woman helped me. This woman was there when I ordered the sneakers. I told her I was there to try them on. She went and got them and helped me to try them on. I walked around the store & said several times that they did not feel like the sneakers I tried on. When I tried on the sneakers in the store a month and a half earlier it felt like I was walking on marshmallows. These seemed flat. I said it out loud multiple times and everyone heard me it is a small store. This went on for about 15 minutes. I walked over to the mirror & stated that " I was trying to see the value in buying these sneakers." I then asked the woman to bring out the second pair of sneakers that I ordered. She went in the back & stated that there was not a second pair of sneakers there. I said "well these are the Hoka Clifton's right?" She hesitated & then said "oh no they are not." I asked her, "When were you going to tell me that these were not the sneakers I ordered?" Jeanie chimed in using a nasty tone of voice and said, "I told you they didn't have them" I said, No you didn't." She said, "Yes I did." I again said "No you said they were on backorder" and I reminded her of the earlier conversation about the deposit & the width. They tried to make me think that the sneakers I had on my feet were the sneakers I ordered & they were an inferior quality. I called these women, "sneaky scam artists." Then the woman who was helping me said "no it was a misunderstanding"I live far away from this store & was angry that I had drove there for a lie. Jeannie had an attitude in her voice & kept saying with her hand in the air at me "Sorry" to shut me up because other customers were in the store & she did not want them to hear that she lied and was trying to put one over on me.The population of people that come to this store is elderly & I am positive that they are taking advantage of these vulnerable people. Since there was an elderly woman having a similar problem. This store is filled with deceptive people & practices & should be avoided. read more
