I am writing this 1-star review in an attempt to reach the owner of Dreamwood, as I have a signed…read morecontract with them to photograph and film my upcoming wedding, and I have not received a response from their team in over 50 days despite multiple emails and an attempted phone call. I have seen the owner respond to reviews here, so I am hoping this finally reaches someone who can help. Before explaining what has happened, I want to preface this by saying that I have remained extremely polite and professional throughout this entire process. I understand that wedding season is busy, timelines can shift, and editing takes time. I have tried to give the team every grace possible and have only asked for what was promised in our contract. Here is the timeline of the correspondence: * May 10: Received my engagement gallery with 83 edited photos, despite my contract including 100+ edited photos. * May 11: Expressed appreciation of the engagement photo work but asked if I could review the raw gallery and select additional images to be edited (I felt that was fair since I only received 83). The team was kind in their response and agreed. * May 19: Submitted 23 additional images for editing. * May 20: Received confirmation that my selections had been received and editing would begin. * June 12: Followed up to ask for an estimated timeline after hearing nothing for over three weeks. * June 15: Was told the updated gallery would be delivered "within the next 7 days." * June 22: The promised timeline passed with no additional photos and no communication. * July 9: Sent a follow-up email, explaining I understood it was wedding season and simply requested an update. No response. * July 23: Sent another follow-up, explaining that while I understood delays, communication was especially important since Dreamwood is also photographing and filming our wedding. No response. * July 30: Sent a detailed email to management documenting the timeline and requesting (1) the status of my engagement photos, (2) confirmation that the contracted 100+ edited photos would be delivered, and (3) a clear point of contact moving forward. I requested a response by August 5. * August 6: Still no response. I also called the phone number listed on Dreamwood's website, but it went straight to voicemail, and the mailbox was full, so I couldn't even leave a message. At this point, my biggest concern is no longer the engagement photos. It is that I have an active contract with Dreamwood to photograph and film one of the most important days of my life, yet I cannot get a response from anyone on their team. Every couple gets one wedding day. The moments Dreamwood was hired to capture cannot be recreated, which is why communication and reliability matter just as much as beautiful photographs. I have given the Dreamwood team over 50 days to respond but now I have lost confidence that they will be able to fulfill our wedding contract. And if anyone is wondering, the email communication has 8 people on it, so even if my main point of contact is no longer with the company, there are 7 other people who could respond. I also sent my last email to their main email address on their website, which again, received no response. At this point, I simply want my deposit refunded so that I can find another photographer and videographer who will communicate with us and give us confidence going into our wedding day. I am requesting that the owner of Dreamwood reach out to me.

Not Atrin Studio, no no! What we got from them was rude and condescending for no reason. After these messages were sent we were blocked and they proceeded to then attack one of my wife's bridesmaids via text. For clarity: Our venue became unavailable last year during our desired date due to a scheduling conflict with the venue. We were far enough out from our wedding that we were able to reschedule for the same date the following year(2024) and let the other booked party take the venue for 2023. However we lost our jobs in January of this year and had to cancel in entirety. This is unacceptable behavior. Do better. Edit to address the owner: You were EXPRESSLY asked, when we had to reschedule the first time, if you wanted us to pay an additional deposit. You said NO. You did not, AT ANY POINT, tell us that you were booked for this year. While loss of income in 2023 is our fault and we SAID AS MUCH, you canceling two dates this year is on YOU not us. We are not in control of when somebody decides to lay us off. FOR THE RECORD, and it's right there in the text, we ARE sympathetic that our actions last year cost you. We are sympathetic with you losing money BECAUSE WE DON'T CURRENTLY MAKE ANY. Try and spin this however you wish, you were in the wrong for acting unprofessional in this exchange. "I asked about your wedding, not your job" was condescending and uncalled for. How the hell do you think people pay for weddings? You THUMBS DOWN my wife's message to you detailing a personal issue. Unprofessional. YOU TEXTED THE BRIDESMAID WHO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH PLANNING OUR WEDDING AND ATTACKED HER! But tell me more about how professional you were. We apologized for not reaching out to you. It's right there in the text exchange. We've had more important things on our minds, like finding more work and caring for our loved ones. Again, we're sorry we cost you a paying day last year. This year is on YOU. You reached out amicably, we informed you that we wouldn't be able to move forward, and you proceeded to act condescendingly. When you reached out to us, with MORE THAN AMPLE TIME, we informed you of our situation. Also, you blocked my wife. You only unblocked her today because of this review. My statement remains. This was unprofessional conduct. We won't be using you in the future and we won't be recommending you to any of our friends who are still in SoCal or intend on getting married there.

They showed up on time, went above and beyond to take the most perfect footage. I had also sent them photo and video ideas for the shots, but couldn't really remember it all the day of with all that was going on, but they were so on top of it that they had them all in their phones and would remind me of the shots I wanted to take. We are very happy with all the photos, our highlight and full video and the drone footage. We had our elopement in Long Beach and she came out to snap some pics for us before the ceremony and also of the family after. She's sooo personable and made it feel like a group of friends running around town casually snapping pics! Her directions were great and definitely helped us loosen up. She is very professional. when I was about to leave to go to the church for my wedding, my cousin busted out of her dress because she didn't get it altered correctly and didn't try it afterwards. My cousin ripped out of her dress all the way up from the hip to the breast, no joke. This was in five minutes before me leaving. Luckily, this happened in front of Jonah who said get out the door I can arrange transportation for your cousin and I also have fabric tape and can sow. When my cousin showed up on time, she looked good. My reception was absolutely gorgeous because of her. I noticed all the small details, I asked her to do... I didn't think it would be able to get done, because they're so delicate. Jonah, if you're reading this, please note that I saw that and really did smile. Thank you. Surprisingly, this girl even had time to decorate my honeymoon suite with roast petals, in the shape of the heart on the bed. She made a little trail from the door to the bed. She hung my naughty lingerie in the bathroom door. Waiting for me when I got back to the hotel room. Jonah was always on call for us even late night hours she was adaptable. She was really good at coordinating and wrapping everything up at the end of the night. This made everything so simple and really took the load off the bridal party that is always running around that day. If you're really really special to have had her for my wedding day and don't know how I would have did it without her. I only had her for a month and a half.. she ended up cutting me a deal because I had my vendors in place. But my vendors ended up being a pain in the butt. She probably wouldn't recommend that you find your own. Let her help you. I'm really really grateful for her. She seriously really helped me. I'm a professional with an MBA And thought I can handle this on my own. Jonah did by far the best job I have ever seen. If you are smart enough to hire her. Do at least six months in advanced. Reasonably priced for the amount of work that she does. Overall, she will be the best investment for your wedding. Will recommend and refer to anyone.
