Johna was a kindhearted soul who really took a friendly approach to planning our wedding. She made sure that everybody was at their place on time. She is super good and strict with the bridal party which is what you need on your special day, trust me. She makes the bridal party aware of each step. I really liked working with her. She is very professional. when I was about to leave to go to the church for my wedding, my cousin busted out of her dress because she didn't get it altered correctly and didn't try it afterwards. My cousin ripped out of her dress all the way up from the hip to the breast, no joke. This was in five minutes before me leaving. Luckily, this happened in front of Jonah who said get out the door I can arrange transportation for your cousin and I also have fabric tape and can sow. When my cousin showed up on time, she looked good. My reception was absolutely gorgeous because of her. I noticed all the small details, I asked her to do... I didn't think it would be able to get done, because they're so delicate. Jonah, if you're reading this, please note that I saw that and really did smile. Thank you. Surprisingly, this girl even had time to decorate my honeymoon suite with roast petals, in the shape of the heart on the bed. She made a little trail from the door to the bed. She hung my naughty lingerie in the bathroom door. Waiting for me when I got back to the hotel room. Jonah was always on call for us even late night hours she was adaptable. She was really good at coordinating and wrapping everything up at the end of the night. This made everything so simple and really took the load off the bridal party that is always running around that day. If you're really really special to have had her for my wedding day and don't know how I would have did it without her. I only had her for a month and a half.. she ended up cutting me a deal because I had my vendors in place. But my vendors ended up being a pain in the butt. She probably wouldn't recommend that you find your own. Let her help you. I'm really really grateful for her. She seriously really helped me. I'm a professional with an MBA And thought I can handle this on my own. Jonah did by far the best job I have ever seen. If you are smart enough to hire her. Do at least six months in advanced. Jonah and her team were the best I could've asked for throughout the entirety of our wedding process. To give background: My wife and I are from Southern California and we hired 888 for our wedding pictures which included an engagement shoot as well. Starting with the engagement shoot we had an idea of exactly what we wanted but we werent sure where to find it in socal. We sent Jonah our inspiration pics and immediately she sent us a location in San Francisco. We fell in love with the spot and looked into flights. We were able to find a cheap flight which would only take us 50 minutes to get there and through Jonah's coordination with her team we were able to make it all happen with no extra charge or any issues at all. We had the most amazing experience with the photographer out there. She sent us all of the edits 1-2 weeks after the shoot. We couldn't have asked for the day to go any smoother than it did. When it came to the wedding, she exceeded what we could've ever expected! Let me start by saying we didn't have a wedding coordinator. We had all of our vendors sorted out, but we didn't have an idea of how the timeline should work. Jonah went out of her way to help us create an outline of the entire day from morning to night which we ended up sticking to. When it came to the photos for the day Jonah's team was extremely professional, they showed up on time to everything, ensured that we were on schedule, and were very smooth with the entire process. There were 2 photographers and 2 videographers total, so we got everything we could've needed covered. We also received all of the edited pictures within 2 weeks of our wedding, and they came out perfect. Last but not least, the same day edit! We didn't know what to expect at all when Jonah brought it up to us, but we went with it. It was a 15 minute time slot in our reception where Jonah's team was able to piece together clips from the entire day, laid over with soft music and audio from conversations and even speeches that took place just an hour before it was shown. We were shocked at how they were able to do it. We all watched it together and we could tell the entire room was in awe and appreciated seeing clips from the day. When we spoke with friends and family after the wedding the same day edit was something that everybody brought up. They all loved it. Overall i'm so happy we went with 888. I brought Jonah in to coordinate the last month of my wedding....but wow, do I wish i had brought her on sooner...being an event planner I thought I could handle the day, but as the big day approached i realised i needed support for the day in managing the vendors and details. We appreciated that they were able to create a custom package that worked with our budget that included videography service and a two-hour engagement shoot. We ultimately decided to go with Jonah and the 888 Productions team because their portfolios were beautiful with amazing photo composition and not overly done. It was a perk that they have experience shooting at the Sheraton in San Gabriel. We were happy that our engagement photoshoot was with Jonah - she made us feel like models, got us un-shy about PDA, and taught us Hollywood tips about kissing and dips. Not only did we get beautiful footage for our guest photobook, but it also gave us a chance to be comfortable in front of the camera before our big day! My husband and I found Jonah and 888 productions after seeing a same day edit video shown during our friends' wedding reception. Our mind was blown. This was the first time we have ever seen/heard/experienced a same day edit video and knew pretty much at that time that a same day edit was a 'must-have' for our future wedding. My husband and I found Jonah and Solano 888 productions after seeing a friend's wedding highlights video on social media. We were WOW-ed with her work from our friend's wedding, and decided to meet with her to discuss videography packages. For our wedding at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel this past May, I was working with one of the top wedding planners in Orange County as well as with her 5-star vendors. Jonah Solano was not one of the videographers our planner referred us to, because Jonah is not a 5-star videographer. Jonah and her team are a 10-star crew. I really count her as one of our most valuable vendors on our wedding day, and we feel so blessed that we found her to capture our special day. Jonah's prices are unbeatable, and for the quality of service and work you receive, she could really be charging double or triple for the masterpiece you end up with in the end. She really loves what she does, she's a true artist, and that is really manifested in her work. In addition to my own wedding video footage, I have loved watching all of her work of other weddings because she really knows how to capture each and every unique couple and their theme. Our package with Jonah included a "Love Story" video, which was put together about a month before our wedding, and was shown to our wedding reception guests right before our Same Day Edit. Our Same Day Edit was incredible and we could not stop receiving compliments from our guests on how beautiful and awesome our video footage was that they saw at the wedding. In a matter of an hour in between the cocktail hour and dinner service, Jonah was able to pull together footage from our day to show to our guests during dinner service at our reception. My husband and I had the pleasure of hiring Jonah and her team for pretty much our entire wedding coordination thanks to a recommendation from Sharon and Nick. :) So I had about a year of endless calls, emails, and meetings with Jonah. At first I was very hesitant to hire a planner since I thought I could do everything myself but hiring her was the best decision we ever made. Jonah and her team were phenomenal! I'm the type of bride that likes to look at ALL my options before making a decision and this is hard because you are researching things forever! But Jonah made our lives so much easier. Working very long hours at work makes it hard to plan a wedding but she took care of everything and showed us what we could get at our budget, a little above our budget and a little below our budget so we could make a sound decision that we were happy with. Not only was she very professional, punctual and knows how to get good deals on things, she is very real and down to earth and tells you how it is. She also pulls though when things don't go as planned and pacifies all problems that may arise with vendors, etc. Also, she is great at editing videos. :) We were so happy with our wedding video and have gotten lots of great compliments. First I must commend Jonah and her team, they were very professional and friendly to us, our family and friends. The final product from our same day edit, wedding photos and wedding video were nicely done. We hired 888 productions after seeing their same day edit at a bridal show and were very impressed. Our guests were amazed that Jonah was able to put a wedding video in just a few short hours. The reason for the 3 stars is due to submission of our final wedding video. My husband and I were married on May 27, 2017 and did not receive our final wedding video until March 12, 2018. According to our contract, they had 6 months to complete our final wedding video, which would be November 27, 2017. On Nov 29, we received an email stating that she needed our wedding songs for the final edit, which is already pasted the due date. Even though we empathize with the reasoning as to why our video was extremely late, we were still disappointed that our video was given to us late. If we were held responsible for payments of their services, they should be held accountable for the contract they drafted. We understand that they are also extremely busy, but we noticed that there were at least 5 wedding videos completed and posted before ours and their weddings occurred after May 27. So we couldn't help but feel that we were somehow neglected and brushed under the rug. Wedding videos should be completed in order of wedding date. At one point, we even doubted if we would even receive our wedding video. At the end of the day, I would still recommend 888 productions for their video and photography services. I hope our situation was just a fluke and know that Jonah would not let this happen to another lovely couple. read more

I'm having a destination wedding in Cabo so ultimately I needed to hire a local wedding coordinator in Mexico, but I wanted to take the time to write about Jonah at Solano 888 Productions. After becoming very frustrated by all the vendors and the wedding planners in Mexico and how slow an none responsive everyone there is I had cold feet about having a destination wedding after all. I started googling local vendors and a wedding I liked listed Solano 888 Productions as the event coordinators. I wrote them an email with a list of questions. Literally the next day Jonah called me. She didn't just have answers she had taken the time to do research other vendors that I may like with a range of available dates for the months I was considering. When I told her my issues with the hotels in Los Cabos, she said she would check into it. Within two days she sent me emails and called to provide me information about the hotels I was interested in in Mexico. The local wedding planner I was dealing with didn't get back to me until a week after Jonah. She also called my DJ and made him give me a discount after I had already negotiated a price with him. Jonah is organized and hard working. But the most important thing is that she seemed to genuinely care about my budget and my time constraint. As a bride you want to have the best wedding possible but finances can be very stressful and I literally felt calm and optimistic every time I got off the phone with her. Ultimately, I had to get a local wedding planner in Mexico because I need a presence there since I am planning from LA but if I were to have a local wedding I would definitely work with Jonah. read more

It's been 2 years and 4 months from our wedding day and I apologize that I just made this review right now. However, it has been great experience to know Jonah and that we got her team to be our coordinator for our wedding day. Because of her, we got our DJ, and my hair and make-up people where they all made as great team during our special day. When we first met Jonah, she is very welcoming and we trusted her right away regarding how our program and activities will flow during the event. She was at that time preparing for her own wedding but still accommodated us. She gave us the best team, Karina, James, and another guy (sorry I forgot the name). I only got the "on-the-day" coordinator, which means they will be the people taking care and making sure everything is in place during your wedding day. Since I don't have much of my siblings and family local, I needed the support from Jonah's crew, and they performed the way I wanted it to be. Made everything as smooth as it is. I'd give them ten stars. My husband and I booked Jonah and her team to do the videography for our wedding back in February. I originally didn't know if I wanted to hire a videographer because our budget was getting pretty tight but now, I'm SO happy that I did- they're worth every penny and then some! The wedding day goes by so quickly that it was nice to be able to have a video that highlighted all the best parts of the day. They were easy to work and communicate with and Jonah is so helpful when any questions come up. They chose music that we loved and were able to beautifully incorporate parts of our vows, as well as some great parts of the speeches into the video. Everything was expertly shot and edited. I can't rave enough about how much I love my photos from Jonah at 888 Productions! She came to my home and took our newborn photos with our baby girl and went above and beyond with her customer service! She was so sweet and accommodating with poses and had very creative ideas to stage and prop our shoot. She's also really great with babies, handled my little one when she was fussy like a pro. We got the best photos and really maximized our time to get the most poses and outfit changes out of the shoot. And on top of taking cute baby photos for us, she also took our first family portraits as well. So... my husband and I originally thought we would only have a photographer for our wedding. Luckily my mom kept pressuring us to consider having a videographer too so we asked our photographer if she knew anyone that would take us on such short notice. Worst experience ever. Zero customer service. Does not return our emails. Did not fulfill contract. Our video was supposed to be delivered 12-24 weeks after the wedding. We received ours 25 weeks after, which was beyond the agreed timeframe. The owner never took responsibility nor did she feel apologetic at all for not fulfilling the services that we paid for. The video came out looking rushed, unprofessional and the lighting was terrible! Will never use or ever recommend them. read more

I have never worked with someone that has such a kind heart like Jonah. I recently did a wedding with her and upon her arrival she mentioned to me that we would need to change the timeline because she is going to present the bride with a video teaser of the day together because the bride initially wanted but was unable to fit it into her budget. Most vendors would make the client want that so bad they will pay for it just so they can make an extra buck but Jonah made this brides dream come true. As we surprised the bride and groom with the teaser and they both had tears in their eyes. It was one of the most amazing memorable moments I have had in my 10 years of wedding planning.
